I appreciate this message so much!! I'm glad it was helpful! Thanks for reaching out.
such a cute lil garden, nothing fancy just a cutesy garden, I have that hibiscus as well the flowers get big as a plate...i also have stonecrop but the regular kind. My stonecrop does not stay green it dies off and comes back, i am in zone 7b. I have tons of Lantana and i love it. dont have tiger lilies but have Easter ones. I also have cannas and tons of Indian blankets they are our state wildflower. I am doing some rudbeckia in my greenhouse now and I also have coneflowers. good vid.
Since you mentioned the state wildflower, are you in Oklahoma? We have quite a few of the same flowers! I am looking forward to the perennial hibiscus blooming this year. So cheerful, I love them! 🌺
Succulents, day Lilly, red-hot poker, iris, camellia, , butterfly bush, mints, Shasta Daisy, coral bells, lobelia. Just a few good ones.
Absolutely agree. When you're a plant/flower lover, it is impossible to narrow it down to only 10 when there are so many great ones 😁. Thanks for sharing!
@@mycarolinagarden you are wellcome. These are good in your zone and easy to keep going with summer water and fertalizer and once a week dead heading you can have a beautifull garden.
Your Lillie's are gorgeous
Thank you so much! 💚
I love lilies indeed
I plant every year some in april or may to have later bloom
I love that! I'm sure you have a beautiful selection 💚
Great list! I grow every single one of those! The only one that wouldn't make my list is the blanket flower.....only because it grows wild in my area.I would substitute another hardy hibiscus...HOLY GRAIL. I really enjoyed your video,Thanks
Thank you for your kind words!! 😁 Hardy hibiscus is AMAZING!!! 🌺
GREAT VIDEO!
Thank you! 😁
I love all these too! I need hardy hibiscus!
Yes you sure do! 🌺 😊 They are just too delightful to pass up!! ❤️
Hi, Outstanding video! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Best, Albert, SF, CA
Thank you, I appreciate that so much!
Also in coastal NC. I especially like nepeta.
Ah, yes! It's so hard to narrow it down to only 10!
Great content!
Thanks so much!
Love lemon sedum!!
Lantana also produce berries that birds eat. Not sure if every variety does though.
That's great - another reason to love them! 😊
Great video
Thanks!
I love lantana . All lilies as well
For sure - there's so much to love!
What a lovely garden, I've just ordered some Luna here in the UK, I would recommend monarda didyma another great perennial plant
Thank you! I had to check what monarda didyma is 😁 I do have purple beebalm, but I love the color of this one! Thanks again!

Wow ❤️what a beautiful garden . Thank you !!I subscribed i
Awe, thank you so much! I appreciate that!
You had me at Blanket Flower! LOVE THOSE :)
You and me both!! My one complaint is the amount of deadheading that has to be done when you have a lot, and seeds want to blow everywhere! 🤪😂
@@mycarolinagarden True... but iffffff we can keep them deadheaded, they keep blooming when everything else around here has stopped :)
@@perennial-garden True! Let's remind each other of how worth it the work is when we're a few months into the season! 🥱😁
@@mycarolinagarden hahaha. deal!
Your garden is gorgeous! I love those large canna lilies but being in 7a I have to bring them inside. I have both the Stargazer lilies and Tiger Lilies. They are so pretty and fragrant. I have not planted echenacia yet but will.
Thank you for this sweet message! 😊
You're right, I'm right here on the line of where Cannas will be perennial, but hopefully bringing them inside is worth it for you! 💚 I LOVE those lilies so much!! Mine have begun to sprout up from the ground now!! 🎉 Hope you have a great Spring in the garden!
Me encanta como llamas bebe a tus plantas me encanta tu jardín yo también tengo un jardín pues amo las flores
Thank you so much for this sweet message! 💚
Interesting that you have a sun loving coneflower next to a shade Loving hosta looks great though.
It's all experimenting to see what might work. Hard to know how tolerant something is without giving it a try 😊
And the hummingbirds love cannas.
Just an added bonus to the gorgeous flowers! ❤️
My NUMBER ONE is the Purple Queen or Purple Heart and I saw her hanging out looking BEAUTIFUL in your video and you didn’t mention herrrrrr! SHES MY NUMBER ONE!!!
Awe!! It's so hard to narrow it down to only 10... BUT! I did do a video completely dedicated to her and all her glory! 💜
Gladiolus growing good in my yard which is zone 8a too I do not dig them out in the fall. They overwinter fine in a soil.
And about your Hardee hibiscus technically, they were first bred in Michigan and they are made original cross from swamp Rose
I have them in my yard, and I cross pollinate them, and that is a awesome way to get a different coloration in flowers for foliage
Gladiolus are gorgeous, sounds like you have a beautiful garden! Love that you cross-pollinate the hardy Hibiscus - that's awesome!
I Love lantanas in my yard but the leaves cause a mild skin irritation which causes me to itch. So I have my husband trimmed them almost at the end of the season. Great video by the way. Thank you for sharing. ☺️☺️
Awe, glad your husband helps with that so you so get to enjoy their beauty 😊 Thank you for your kind message! 💕
Love the stonecrop sedem. I was wondering what to do after they flower and go to seed. Thanks! You are very clear and do not go too fast. Thank you. Good footage too. Good camera women or man! Lantana is awesome!! The pollinators love the yellow ones especially. What is not to love about the lantana. I am
Waiting for mine to get larger. I am in Zone 8B in FL.
Hi there! Thanks for this message. I snip all my flowers off with scissors. It's such an amazing spreader as it is so that's how I do it. 😊💚
I like a different variety of lantana that is more mounding because I don't have to weed the area. Every year, they get bigger and bigger. I like black-eyed susans because the flowers are long lasting.
Totally hear you. 😄 Hope your garden is doing well if you're suffering from this heat like many of us are! Take care!
Your garden is delightful 🤩 Lantana are my favs. I love anything low maintenance. I'm thinking of filling the parking curb strip with them next year since my irrigation doesn't reach😂 I will avoid weeding and cutting there because I'll sheet mulch and pea gravel it. I'm also in 8a South Carolina. How do you care for lantana in the winter?
I definitely need to try some echinacea cone flower, star gazers and blanket flower next year. Thanks for the inspiration 🙏🏾
Thank you for your sweet message! I agree, anything low maintenance, especially in an area you don't want to water! 😊 Lantana work so well for that. I literally don't do anything to them over winter, besides cut the stems back at some point.
Coneflowers hold a special place in my heart so I highly recommend adding them to your garden! Wishing you the best! 😊💕
Love your garden but not sure which will grow in the uk 🇬🇧 you got cool stuff 😊
Thank you! Ahh, very good question!
I have all but one in Z5a. As a kid dad and I planted a dug up the cannas every year. We had so many cardboard barrels of huge bulbs it was crazy😂. So I planted the red in honor of pop. The tropical colors didn’t take and bulbs were not the best. The sedum I’m sure is different but very close to one that was sold here called Steppables. Ugh! It spread in the lawn Everywhere with just a snippet. They also got yellow star flowers. Bugleweed is another that can creep into grass.
I grew Luna hibiscus from seed this year. One flew down the drain as I was trying to Knick it so I order 5 more as that was the total in a pack so I could ensure all colors. I found I could just germinate them 🙄. Anyhow I now have many blooming like crazy now. My original one my husband planted a surprise phlox on as it hadn’t come up yet that year and it never did again.😂
Brown eyed Susan’s I’m sure there are many varieties and mine is very invasive and some can die off and look shabby.
Definitely Stargazer or any Asiatic lillies are a fav. Lavender and Siberian irises are well behaved. Iris doesn’t bloom long, but have attractive spikey blades that look nice all summer.
Oh, and blanket flowers can spread like brown eyed Susans and yes both are a pain to deadhead, but I love the colors so I let them do their thing.
Awe, I love that you planted red cannas in honor of your dad! I haven't had my sedum creep into my grass, but dang, how annoying! I do have a love/hate relationship with prolific spreaders, but you're right, sometimes you just have to let them do their thing for their colors. Yay to the Luna Hibiscus - LOVE those huge blooms!! 😄🌺
I love your beautiful garden. You have some of my favorite flowers and shrubs in your garden, which brings me to this question. Just out of curiosity, how come I didn't see any bees flying around in this video? Was it because it was early in the morning? This year, I plan on planting some of these plants in-ground, but I'm terrified of the bees. Plus, I have those stupid wooden railroad tracky-things in my backyard and the carpenter bees, love to live, in them. They stung me, twice, at 1 time, when my leaf blower, accidentally, blew into their space/wood. I dropped the blower, hopped into my car and drove straight to Urgent Care. When I came back home 2 or 3 hours, later, they were still stinging the blower, as it laid on the ground, blowing. 😂 I don't to ever want be attacked like that, again. 😞
You got stung by 2 carpenter bees at once? Yikes!!! I have them flying around in my yard now (mid-April) but I don't feel like they stay all summer (I filmed this in early July). I'll have to look out for that. I do have lots of honey bees throughout the season though, and I love having them. They don't bother me at all. I am wishing you good luck with your gardening year!!
@@mycarolinagarden Yes, at once. It was so painful. 😒 Thank you for letting me know. 👌
