Totally love your tutorials. Just enough detail that I am pretty sure I can make a similar arrangement. I'm going to use neighborhood debris from storms mostly. Keep the videos coming. Thank you for sharing.🪴
Very, very pretty👍 I use "oasis" or "wet floral foam bricks" to plant up my window boxes and cast iron urns for winter. I presoak the oasis and then let the rain and snow continue to water the plantings throughout the winter. For me, here in Zone 6a, the displays will stay nice and green from November through March.
@cindydamrow1031 No argument there. I reuse my oasis season after season until it is no longer functional. And, I save the oasis from any floral arrangements I receive. That way I am not buying new blocks every year in an effort to reduce, reuse, recycle.
Absolutely gorgeous!! I’m sure these photos don’t give it justice. I never thought about using the styrophome for the base. Great idea to help save the lifetime of the urns. So glad I found your channel. I’ve been creating similar containers for years ~ but love your added suggestions. Happy Holidays.
Thank you. I have not had a problem with these. All of the “stuff” that goes into them weighs them down and these are somewhat protected from wind by my greenhouse. I’ve been doing this for a few years now and all good so far 😊
Do you have suggestions for where I can order or get the greenery and twigs? I can forage in nature but would like a wider range of items than what grows around me. Thank you, it a beautiful arrangement!
Thank you for the video. Great arrangements. I am wondering where you buy your decorative florals ... do you buy from a wholesaler or at a local store? Thank you again. What a great idea for a side hustle ... doing large outdoor arrangements for businesses and homeowners. love it!
Thank you! I used to buy from a wholesale company but they are gone now. However I did stock up at their going out of business sale. I also buy local too. I love it ….I have just enough business to keep me happy but not too much that I get stressed 😏
the containers turned out so pretty Dawn! Those two containers are always such show stoppers! What was artificial, magnolias and berries? Were all the rest real? I'm trying to figure out how closely I can come to doing those here in Montana.
This is the first time I have viewed one of your YT videos. Wonderful holiday/winter container. You mention you are zone 5 WI. Where in WI are you located? Thank you.

Thank you so much! I love seeing what people come up with using natural materials! 😊
Enjoy your videos! Exactly my style,my taste! What I wouldn’t give,to have a candlelit dinner in you greenhouse🥰. Beautiful display!
Thanks so much for your nice comments!! I might have to open a B&B 😉
Thank you for including the flyover with the geese. It really added the seasonal vibes for these gorgeous containers!
Thank you!! I love the geese when they are on the move.
Very, very pretty👍

Sounds like a great idea😊
That floral foam is really bad for the environment- microplastics, etc.

I don’t want to hold water in these. We freeze solid here in Wisconsin for months! But great idea for warmer climates
Beautiful I Love your Green house too.
Thank you so much!! 😊
A signature Dawn art piece! Thank you!

Very very pretty ❤
Thank you so much!❤
Nice selection of planting material. It looks wonderful. Great idea about using the Styrofoam inserted to save the planter.
Thank you!! 😊
These look great Dawn! So full and beautiful.❤

Thank you !!
Beautiful, lovely setting.
Thank you very much 😊
Oh these turned out just beautiful ❤!
Thank you so much Nicole!🥰
Just gorgeous !
Thank you! 😊
Love it. Salvador
Thank you.
Very nice! Will the greens last as long as they would in moisture retaining soil? And do you ever use wilt proof?
Yes I do use Wilt Prof and the greens do seem to last all winter long thus way as well.
Cool idea!
Thank you ❤
So pretty, Dawn
thank you Patti!
So beautiful! Your magnolia where they preserved or faux? So so pretty ! You always inspire me thank you. Have a wonderful holiday.🌹
Thanks so much Denise. They are faux but a very good faux one. ❤
@ May I ask where you purchased the magnolia?
@@deniseb7013I found them at Hobby Lobby a few years ago. 😊
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you so much!
My only concern in using foam or oasis is a good windstorm! Will they blow away???? Soil is much heavier!
Same concern
I’ve used this foam method for the past 4 years and never had an issue! You’d be surprised how heavy the greens and all that stuff is!!
Very nice job!!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching!
Wow Dawn those are beautiful! Do you have to worry about the wind blowing everything out of the container because the styrofoam is light?
Thank you. I have not had a problem with these. All of the “stuff” that goes into them weighs them down and these are somewhat protected from wind by my greenhouse. I’ve been doing this for a few years now and all good so far 😊

Thank you Dixie!😊
Gorgeous! 🪴❤🎄Were any of the greens from your property?
Thank you Peggy. I purchase the greens. I use a lot of greens for not only my urns but clients as well 😊
Spectacular!
Thank you 😊
Stunning! Where do you get your supplies?
Thanks Erin. All over the place lol. Local garden centers, hobby lobby, Michael’s etc
Looks so beautiful, great job we’re these are real plants or faux
Thanks, I'm happy you like it! It's a mix of real and faux 😊
Спасибо😊
New sub, yay a fellow Wisconsin gardener! Where are you located? This arrangement is gorgeous, I'm going to enjoy your channel!
Welcome Barb! I’m in Ozaukee County! Close to Port Washington. How about you?
@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn I am in Sun Prairie, a suburb of Madison. So glad I found your channel!
@@barbkenas5663oh yes I know where that is! Welcome to my channel. Glad you found me!!
Do you have suggestions for where I can order or get the greenery and twigs? I can forage in nature but would like a wider range of items than what grows around me. Thank you, it a beautiful arrangement!
Thank you. Local garden centers have the greenery this time of year. Even Home Depot had some lose greens.
Lovely
Thank you Patricia 😊
Absolutely fantastic ‼
Thank you!
Where did you find the clumps of Magnolia?
Hi Karen. These Magnolia are faux… just really good ones!!
Thank you for the video. Great arrangements. I am wondering where you buy your decorative florals ... do you buy from a wholesaler or at a local store? Thank you again. What a great idea for a side hustle ... doing large outdoor arrangements for businesses and homeowners. love it!

You’re containers is beautiful
@@Adelineward-ix7lgthank you ❤
You are correct the rest was real.
Dawn, I love this! Where did you buy your ingredients?
Thank you Kim. From local garden centers and the sprays from various places like hobby lobby or Michael’s 😀
That is great ! Artificial magnolia i assume? Thank you
Yes it is lasts so much longer in our harsh winters.
Where do you get your magnolia and greens from?
Typically my local garden centers like Steins, Heydens etc.
This is the first time I have viewed one of your YT videos. Wonderful holiday/winter container. You mention you are zone 5 WI. Where in WI are you located? Thank you.
Oh welcome to my channel. I’m in Ozaukee Co near Port Washington!
Question, were the magnolia branches real or faux? I ask because i used real ones in a similar design and the shrank and crisped up
These were faux that I’ve reused for years!
Do you "compose" on paper first or as you go at the container?
Great question Mari! I get an idea and sort of put the items together first on a table and then build on it when I’m creating the container.
Where did you get the magnolia bunches? Are they real?
Hello. They are actually faux and I found them at Hobby Lobby
How does the foam base stand up to our winter winds?
So far so good. We had 40 mph wind gusts this week and it’s all still looking good!!
🥰🥰🥰
❤
It’s not the dirt that cracks pots, but water which has biphasic expansion in the gas state and frozen state (when it’s boiling or freezing).
Yes good point but water runs through if it has no dirt to sit in 😊
Could this be done in a birdbath
I don’t see why not!!!
Gorgeous!
Thank you Heidi!
Stunning!
