Limiter , Tape, n a Saturator fr parallel. Nice!!! Why not. I was using torque api2500 n puigtec fr drum break. Vocals usually always parallelelled wit j37 into an abbey plate then a dryer vocal track with ssl g channel usually puigchild is always there too so butter 🧈abbey saturator is one of my favorites fr anything . thx Dave!!
Thanks again Dave, I'm getting my mix pretty good but I get a little lost when I comes time to mix it down and try and some sort of 'try hard' mastering, getting it glued together etc, any tips on or basic examples would be great, hopefully you understand what I'm getting at. Thanks heaps Dave! Kent
HELP!!! been using the L2+NectarV1 chain as my go to para comp for 8 years and just got an M1 Mac - NectarV1 isn’t M1 compatible and the settings don’t work on V2 or 3! Help me Dave Pensado, you’re my only hope 🙏🙏🙏🥺🥺🥺
Great mix engineer but pensado does not know how to explain something for me to understand You a way to vague in your explanations You need to he more specific
I love all 53 ITLs! Many thanks, Dave. You are making a huuuuge difference and are so greatly appreciated.
The one dislike just didn't understand the complexity and coolness of this kind of Parallel compression..
You sparked so many ideas I have to try out
Thanks Dave
This really helped with keeping the dynamics while trying to get the vocal right in you face.
Great lesson !!!
"...who knows what it adds..." Great video as always Dave! THX!
The most useful show. I became dependent on ITL :)
Thanks much & respect to Dave, Drew and to your crew.
I've been waiting for this all day!
Great Tutorial! Thanks Dave!
Thank you David.
I believe the Nectar plug-in has some time based effects on it that are activated, though the main vocal is been sent to a bus called slap.

Kent
Absolutely awesome
So you compressed then you had a bit a delay to add depth to the vocals
Thanks from Norway again
Just curious, what's the paint can doing next to the monitor?
thank you from Norway
I usually do my parallel comp thru a aux mono input here you used a stereo aux dave nice ! do you always do your parallel thru a stereo aux ?
Is the slapback type delay coming from the latency between the main bus and the parallel bus?

what's the best way to do parallel compression when you are mixing a track or during mastering session? any advice will be helpful thanks
Entirely dependent on what you're trying to achieve. Most of the time it will be in the Mix though.
Thanks!
Why a limiter? why not!!
thanks Dave :)
Sweet!!!!
Great :)
I love this guy but I always struggle a bit to understand what he's trying to say
ok guys next week. lol Great show.
iZone is a great plug
Parallel compression is sexy
i am very confused now
best
I think Dave has the lowest like to dislike ratio on TH-cam ... it's got to be like 28357:1
lol were just knocking off little bi. Dave you're knocking off 13 db with the L2... I will knock off 15 db
