- What’s going on to all of you fellow fans of Scream out there. Today we’re going to be discussing a potential plot point for Scream 7, more specifically surrounding Sidney Prescott and why a new Ghostface is set to target her in Scream 7. Before I do get into that though, there’s some official news to discuss, so let’s just dive straight in...
Lakewood book Details:
-The book will be exclusively available via Amazon Kindle from the 2nd of September 2024.
-Following this, the novel will be released on other platforms & physically on the 27th September 2024.
There will be three different versions of the novel to purchase.
-One will be a Standard Edition, which will feature the novel with it's standard artwork.
-Second will be a Hardback Edition, which will feature the same artwork, but on hardback format.
-Third will be an Exclusive Hardback Edition, which will have exclusive artwork specifically made for the novel. Pre-ordering this edition is important, as there won't be a large amount of copies available. But Patreon subscribers will be given first access to this edition before anybody else.

They can't make Scream without Roger L. Jackson. I've always assumed that if a Scream movie was being made, he'd be involved automatically. It has never occurred to me that he would decline. Glad to hear he's still on board.

A group of Ghostface killers in Scream 7 would be quite interesting. It would make the situation more challenging for Sidney, though we all know she will survive. After all, Neve has stated several times she does like a challenge.
Stu & Leslie Macher teamup on Sidney with a Ghostface cult that worships Billy and the Woodsboro murders and most likely Stu would want Sam to show that she's like her father.
They have already done that…

Best believe i will be buying a book. I’m not a book person but this is something i will be reading cause i need to know how the story concludes. I still hope for some meta commentary in scream 7 bc of the time jump they can’t talk about the current era of cinema.
Congrats on the book, man. Well deserved! Right now, all I ask for Scream 7 is to give us something different. Focus more on making the characters smarter and less self-aware. We get it, they know they're in a horror movie. Make them better at surviving, and ultimately, Ghostface has a bit of a harder time killing people. I've always said with Gales chase scene in 6 (That was great, btw), instead of separating for her big boyfriend, they should've held hands, armed themselves, leaning up against the wall, and either wait for the cops to show up and let the killer come to them. Finally, for the big reveal at the end - Less talky talky, and more killy killy.

Having a group of ghostfaces in the movie adds so much potential to the table. They could play it at many different angles and I can't wait to see it play out! I think her daughter being the initial target because of her being a Prescott is a very Scream way of playing it. Putting her at the age of her mom during the original killings would be perfect. With Kevin using his original Scream 3 plans in 7 gives me the idea that the leader of the group could potentially be Jill and Stu. I know I'll get a lot of heat for this but hear me out.....with both characters we never got a 100% confirmation that they died. It's hinted that they could've survived. Jill, because after she falls to the floor after being shot and Gale runs for help, Sid talks to her as if she knows she'll live. Stu, because it was Kevin's original plan for 3 to have Stu come back and be the ring leader of this group. Either way, I am impatiently waiting for Paramount/Spyglass to FINALLY come out with official news.

I think there keeping a secret because of 1 thing. There gonna do what Halloween did. Ignore the sequals and re write Sydney’s story. That’s why I think the core 4 are not gonna be in 7, or even 1 of them is. That’s why I think there is hush hush
If they retcon it then Dewey never died, but I think David Arquette may need to be convinced to return because he was deeply hurt by the writers decision to off Dewey.

And i like the idea of the killer wanting the focus back on Sidney after Tara and Sam having their moment, would be cool and different as opposed to them just wanting Sidney dead which is always the case, they want to scare and stress her and get her family involved but ultimately at the end they’ll reveal that they never really wanted her dead. I wonder if they’re setting up Sidney’s daughter to become the new Sidney and killing Sidney off in this film. It’s make sense to have gale announed dead in the beginning of the film or die at the halfway point of the film. That way we truly have a finale ending for Sidney and the og trio. I’d be satisfied with knowing it took a group 5-6 killers to finally kill Sidney. Then give it like 3-5 years real time and make a new film with Sidney’s daughter and set it up as a new trio with 8, 9, 10
Sidney is never gonna die because Neve Campbell said a long time ago that she won't do a scream movie where Sidney dies.

So i have a theory for the plot of scream 7: the nanny is part of a friend group, all the friends is targeted and killed. Plottwist: all the friends arent dead, but in fact the ghostface killers. This is not a family-related-situaiton, This is a CULT

Honestly, I like the alleged angle of Ghostface shying away from wanting anything to do with the STAB movies and simply hating Sidney (for whatever reason). Killers wanting to one up previous killers in the name of the STAB franchise has been run to the ground. Ditching that would breathe life into the franchise, however, the killers have to have a concrete motive behind the killings. I would even ditch family members of past killers wanting revenge. Have a killer, or multiple killers, survive and come back to put the final nail in the coffin by starting recruiting a cult. A past victim we thought was dead, but upon further inspection... were never confirmed to be. But how they survived has to make perfect sense. Sidney's arc is far from over. She has a few more loose ends to tie up before she's sent off.
I hope the motive has nothing to do with the Stab movies, I'm over them.

I hope that Roger Jackson gets some better lines in this one. I liked 5 and 6 but a lot of the lines he was given in those movies were a bit cringe and not nearly as threatening as the first 4 movies
Considering it’s Sidney again here’s my personal opinion.
The killer needs to have nothing to do with her past. Her past has haunted her enough. Everything from the past is now 20+ years old, and it’s been played out.
This needs to be a new beef, it needs to be tangible, and relatable.
The use of Ghost Face should be part of putting salt in the wound.
Could you use some Stab fanboy as the killer “sure”.
Here’s the reality though. Sidney’s half brother was an extremely lame motive in my opinion. Sidney’s niece’s motive was kind of a lame motive, but I’m old and maybe tweens are crazier than I think. Richie and what’s her face? While believable, it’s fanboy stupidity,
I love the franchise. Truly.
But we need to up our game on motive.
I love Sam as much as I love Sidney. Truly. Frankly in a perfect world it would be fantastic to see the two of them have the same “someone’s trying to kill you” on equal terms where they learn from each other with an epic killer and motive.
Want this all going strong, and no Scream shouldn’t last forever. But without a good motive, we are literally like 2 films away from someone becoming Ghost Face because someone got their Orange Julius order faster than someone else…. And that someone else knows they’ve nearly died by Ghost Face.
Let’s treat the franchise respectfully.

I think that Sidney is only being targeted again because she was the original survivor from 1996, and Sidney has survived every other killings from Ghost Face Killers and whoever’s going to be the ghost face killer this time wants to finish Sidney off, probably someone from Stu’s side of the family? We haven’t seen anyone from Stu’s family in the franchise yet

I really hope it's not fucking Leslie Macher. The overzealous fans have ruined her or Christina Carpenter ever being the killers. It's way too predictable at this point and with how much people have talked about it I'm sure most people would be overwhelmingly annoyed more than surprised or shocked.

Gale is also the survivor of the 1996 killings and survived every Ghostface attack including one more than Sidney. But, I know what you mean.

I've never been a fan of the whole cult or group killer theory. To me it makes the kills have less meaning. Where as before all the killers had a personal tie to Sidney and everyone else.

If you was able to write the killer’s perspective ones I have one idea for you: you can say that Richie killed someone and video taped it during his teenage years which is between the events of fourth and fifth movies. In my opinion he really killed someone in his teenagehood
Glad to hear Roger L Jackson will be reprising, as it just wouldn't feel like Scream without his iconic voice. That's one of the reasons why the series didn't really work for me.

I think the neighbour route is interesting because its feels different. The fake friendly neighbours who she thinks are ok and who basically juat want her and her family gone. Playdates and bullying with the kids, a mark affair, work life competitiveness and collegues. There's definitely an angle to explore for ghosface reveals and motives. But a handful neighbours coming together for a cult reveal with maybe a few others is a bit obvious now. And i always think of the Smiley film with many killers. Not really keen on cults. Whats it to be, 7 killers for scream 7 😑

I’ve been excited for sc7eam since day 1. This franchise is dear to me as I grew up watching the originals. While I’m rather indifferent about the loss of the core 4 and not a fan of why that is the case. That said I’m getting more and more excited for this film and neve coming back pales in comparison to Kevin Williamson directing. I know he’s not a particularly experienced director but he literally wrote the original script so aside from the late Wes craven there’s nobody else who could be involved that is exciting as that!! Sure u gotta have Roger Jackson although I’m not sure how difficult it would be to get a voice actor who sounds close enough to not be noticeable. I’m really excited about this one and really think it’s going to be great at least I’m hoping

just an idea what if its a another stab fan who isnt happy that sunrise hasnt released the new stab film they promised, so he devises a plan to find sidney, becomes her neighbour, stalks her and also gets help from the demons from her past: mickey altieri and stu macher..... so they get their revenge and he or she gets the stab film that he or she wants

Idk how to feel about this movie. Im thinking it could make or break the franchise and it is the only opportunity for spyglass to sort of redeem themselves after what they did to Melissa and how they took away from us the original story for scream 7 which would've been the conclusion to sam and tara and the twins. They would have to try even harder to please fans again and with the whole time jump and cult thing, I just know many fans are already dissapointed. Personally, I am not digging the time jump thing, it is just silly because anything can happen in 5 years. I would much rather have it take place right after scream 6 or at the same time as 6. Im okay with the cult theme as long as it is done right. As far as motives go, the whole stab thing is kinda getting old. At this point, there isn't much left to explore when it comes to the whodunnit aspect and motives. I think as long as there is a story to tell, and if they execute it very well then there shouldn't be anything much to worry about. We will have to wait and see.

I agree; if the time jump thing is legit I'm not loving the idea. Ghostface(s) targeting Sid and her young kids would be way creepier, IMO.
@@maxsommers6843True. The biggest problem we have is that Sidney's kids have no set age, the only solid evidence we have is that they were born from 2012 onwards. The good news though is that Scream 6 was in 2023 (despite the goof between movies), so a 5 year jump would put this movie in 2028, meaning Sidney's oldest kid would be 15 at the most, and that's if we push it considering she had no partner in Scream 4/late 2011, and I doubt she would've gotten pregnant so quickly even if she did get married soon, so I don't think we should be expecting her kid to be in late highschool with dating drama they way it's been so far. Plus I feel like Scream 5 already alluded to Sidney's kids being quite young (and not Sidney having a 9-10 year old during Scream 5)

Tired of Roger Jackson as the voice. It's already getting old, and the writing lately has been cringe when it comes to the GF dialogue. They need a new voice this time, and they also need a double phone call at the opening, as in two people getting called at the same time by GF, and being able to communicate to one another as GF directs them. A couple who is having an affair get called by GF, and are told to go to an isolated location, separately since they can both hear one another on the call and speak to one another on the call. They go to this location taking different routes, still on the line with GF, and when they arrive, GF has them play a game, which ties into the rest of the film.
That would be my opening.

Please no. It's been talked about and overhyped so much that I think I'd be pissed if it was her. There'd be no surprise, no shock. Just annoyance and boredom. We already know who it would be, what the motive would be, and how it would play out. The whole movie would be pointless.
