I haven’t gotten thrips on my Thai or albo lately. But I got them on my syngonium 😩. I just sprinkle granules this morning on them. They also dry out too quickly.

    Hey Jake!
I have the same issue with my spiritus. I honestly think it’s EFN. My guy is constantly a sticky icky mess. Puts holes in the leaves. I have to wipe her weekly. When I do, she treats me with pretty leaves. However, the EFN still seeps through and eventually will make marks. Freaking annoying!! Love you. And your channel! Happy growing!

Interesting. Mine don’t have EFNs underneath, just the markings, and they are evident even before the new leaf unfurls. But I’ve dealt with philos that produce crazy EFNs in the past and it’s annoying lol

I brought a small seedling P. Spiritus sancti from them and its have the same problems along with a few other plants. Ecuagenera definitely sends out infected plants. I actually did an unboxing video and had Anthurium Ovatifolium that had some crazy issues going on. It’s was the 3rd one that I brought from them and every last one had the same problem did not last just kept dying. I needed up buying one from Tropicals and it so much healthier and is thriving. lol it was one of those plants that I just had to have in my collection.💚 I wonder if the problem could be a Cal Mag deficiency?

I tried planting my plants directly in those and I was having to water twice a day minimum. So I changed them all to pots

You planted in vases and had to water twice a day..?

@@plantgayforlife no. I had them planted directly in the fabric (idk what they are called but sold as wall planters for herbs outside like you have in your tent).

I received an ace of spades as a TC. It is alive and has good roots in fluval however, it has not grown since I have had it - 1 1/2 mths. Wonder if I should put it in a chunk mix? I’m new to anthuriums but the ones I have cry x mag, forgetti and forgetti dark, queen, clarinervium)
are all doing well except this one not growing. Any suggestions

Be patient! It’s only been 6 weeks. Sometimes anthuriums need a few months of root growth to reestablish before putting out new foliage. I even have a couple anthuriums with healthy root systems and healthy foliage that haven’t put out a new leaf in months. But I just let them be. Give it time and it will grow for you👍

Where do you live? And what do you call heatwave? My plants are outside and it's 100 degrees here in Texas. Just water them.

Did you watch all the way through? That’s exactly what I did. It was in the mid 90s F here in NYC and for a few nights in a row I had to sleep in an apartment that was 87 F at night(with AC). The plants you grow are clearly adapted to this heat. My plants are not. They are from the New World Tropics where temperatures tend to stay below 90 F and dip down to high 60s F at night. That being said, my apartment is much less humid than the rainforest, which makes humidity-loving plants like mine even less tolerant of temperature spikes due to rapid evaporation and transpiration. And if you watched the video all the way through, you would have seen me watering my plants as well as mentioning having to water them more often.
