So, the M5, for a long time that developed a fault with the downshift (minus) paddle...
It was still working, but was way too sensitive... dangerous really, as a small touch would act as a gear change request...
The distinct "click" from the paddle also disappeared...
Finally had the time to get into it and repair it...
Ah... and no parts required, which is always a bonus!

Great repair job. If if were to be me, however, I would have put in the repair screw using a silicon adhesive like E6000 or J-B weld. Super glue has a nasty habit of failing after a while.

The screw didn't went in loose, it opened it own threads on the plastic... the glue was just for extra measure...
But I totally understand what you mean...

Common issue on all m5/m6, i have fixed mine with a hole and full epoxy than, have been 5 years never broke again. Abraço de Portugal

good morning Luis the price of that car new they should make the paddles from alloy metal but they put extra holes for to brake to sell you new they dont want parts to last it would pay to put screw in other 3 pivots good fix there

Great fix Luis. You made it stronger than before. I assume you checked the other paddle for signs of stress fracture? At least you can repair it if needed.
