Casa da Fonte offers a cozy, authentic ambiance that perfectly complements its delectable menu. We kicked off our meal with a bowl of fish soup and garlic mushrooms, both bursting with rich, tantalising flavours that set the tone for the rest of our dining adventure.
For the main course, we indulged in a cataplana, traditionally served for two but delightfully available for one here. This hearty dish was brimming with monkfish, prawns, clams, and mussels, each bite a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to quality seafood. Alongside, we enjoyed a mixed fish kebab that was nothing short of spectacular. Loaded with monkfish, salmon, and prawns, it was a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
To complement our meal, we savoured a bottle of Vinho Verde, its crisp and refreshing notes pairing perfectly with our seafood selections. And to finish on a sweet note, the hot apple pie with ice cream was a delightful end to an extraordinary meal, sealing Casa da Fonte as my go-to spot for a favourite dessert.

Once again guys. A great vlog. Great food and drink. It looked a nice restaurant. Sangria Sue was in fine form. And no Sangria.🤔 I suppose Vinho Verde is a fine substitute. Cheers guys.

It's really lovely there. If you fancy trying somewhere else in the Old Town I'd recommend Bistro for gorgeous food and O'Paulo bar for nice chilled drinks with a great host. Rositerra in Ferreiras is also meant to be a lovely, we haven't had a chance to try it out yet but we'll be sure to visit Diogo and his team next time we're over.
