I found your blog when you met Kulas, Becoming Filipino. I subscribed and enjoyed being informed and entertained watching your videos. Though I am not a pilot, aviation is in blood. I am a retired US Navy jet engine and related systems mechanic/instructor for 24 years on various carrier base military aircraft (F4, F14, T2 and E2). Sometime in the 1975, I was given a chance to ride in the back seat of the F4 Phantom jet. Needless to say, It was definitely an unforgettable experience. From twin afterburner take off (almost vertical), negative Gs, acrobatic maneuvers and going Mach 1.2 really took a toll on me during the one hour flight. I felt what a US Navy fighter pilot go through. Definitely not an easy job, like the carrier landing, and the most demanding /challenging carrier night landing. Sometimes, they have to deal with rough sea conditions when the carrier deck pitches up/down and side to side constantly (day and night). I am sharing this because I know any pilot can relate. Now, I am just enjoying my senior years in San Diego. If by chance you are in the area, get in touch. I will be happy to tour you in all the US military bases here. God bless.
