Very unique and engaging film. Patience pays.
Lea seydoux for me she has an amazing career in Hollywood and auteur cinema ❤
I'm planning on watching this soon. Thanks for the review Mr B
I enjoyed this for all the reasons you've set out. I think this is one I might want to own on blu-ray.
I saw this a couple of days ago and am still thinking of it. My fellow audience members were perplexed and had expected a different type of movie.
Sounds great!
Sounds very interesting. Lea Seydoux is one of the most charismatic actresses around at the moment- I have to see anything she's in because she always elevates the film (or potentially steals the whole thing - Dune Part 2)
She was electric in Dune 2
Thanks Mr B, looking forward to seeing the Beast, btw, thanks for reviewing The Small Back Room, just watched it today, great stuff!!
I’m in the Bristol area, Pete, and would happily pop along to any reading you do near to me.
Straight from MK to here after seeing this #
This looks intriguing, as does your book, which I ordered last night.
thanks Paul!
I really tried to watch this but an hour in, I felt it was rapidly spiralling towards its own ileum. Maybe I'll re-start when less tired and recovered from a cold.
Please do!
I worked in Pitsea and Harlow, both towns in Essex. Pitsea looked as if it had been beaten up and trashed a zillion times and makes similar estates in Northern Ireland look pristine in comparison. I won't be in Brentwood to see you read, I might die there....
I'll watch this movie because Lea Seydoux is not the average Bond girl, having said that she never sent me money, champagne or anything. I mean, that's so miserly!
Movie or film. Anchored in these initial words
It's a film made by a dreamer for those that desperately want meaning in the waste bin of their own dreams.
Like all Western 'high art' that's lauded over - t's an unsuccessful experiment,
in visiting the uncontrollable nocturnal realm of inexplicable anxiety, whilst fully awake.
It is what decadent, bored minds will only ever recreate. Their own internal terror.
But do you prefer Borowczyk's or Bonello's La Bete?
@@diamondjr2584 both are amazing!
Lea and George looked as though they didn't really know what was going on. They took the money and ran though
