Love it❤ my start in SC in 3.18 was salvage, for the first 3-4 months I only did salvage with reclaimer, and managed to own all the ships ingame bought, and along the way helped several other players to buy themselves reclaimer.
I just got my Reclaimer and MOLE not too long ago. Love them so far. I think they have the best interior ship sounds in the game. Especially the sounds in the Reclaimer salvage processing hold and cargo area. Sounds like an old rusty chain or hook swinging back and forth. Very creepy, Aliens vibes.
I found the Vultures long arms annoying when scraping so hoping the MISC Fortune will fit the parking spot I’m going to have on my Liberator ( one day lol).
@@infinitespace239 its the next size up from the multi-tool. its the size of a rifle and has a much stronger tractor beam. sorry, I don't remember what its called. it is sold in the cargo center for around 17k.
So right turret operates the beam. Whats the left turret operate then? Right front seat was the pilot seat that you got into to move the ship a bit.. Whats the left seat for. co-pilot i imagine and what is their role while the salvaging is happening that your buddy was sitting in that seat? Are there more than one claws that theres two turrets?
The Reclaimer has two salvage turrets (one on each side). Each one has a tractor beam and a scraper head. You can either have two people scraping the hull of a ship for faster salvaging; or, if solo, you can replace the default Trawler salvage head on one turret with a Cinch or Abrade head to get a higher yield (at the cost of taking more time due to less surface area being scraped at once). There is only one claw. The left seat in the cockpit is for actually flying the ship. The right seat only extends/retracts the arm, and selects fracture/disintegrate modes. You can't actually aim the arm from the right seat though; so, the pilot has to move the entire ship to aim it.
Had a Vulture upgraded to a Reclaimer. I find the scrapping of a ship in a Reclaimer is not getting much 1-2 SCU of RMC (panel scrapping seems equivalent to vulture (maybe a little bit less - but that might be the Trawler fault). What is the best way to make money with a Reclaimer (since it is so big and slow). BTW. In the Vulture I would eject the 13 RMC, and then scrap 13 more and then Eject another one that jams. Then I can scrap 1 more for a total of 27 (vs 26).
They really lowered the price of CM, Vulture should only scrape RMC, worth 12k per SCU. I think CM is 1.2k now, used to be 6k. Still an easy way to make money. You have a great videos, even after playing for 5 years i still pick some stuff up from your channel. Vulture, always fill storage then the buffer, put everything in your cargo in your hanger easy 300k, go to Lagrange points and look for panels, you will get RMC a bit faster. Panels when scanning will always be in increments of 2000, so when you see 8000 or 10000 you hit the mother load!
@@vertigo6982 Lagrange points are spots in a star system where the gravitational pull of the various planets and moons cancels out; so, objects tend to collect in them. This is why they are considered to be prime spots to put space station in; since, they use less fuel for station-keeping. In Star Citizen, these are marked with the first 3 letters of a planet, and then the number of the Lagrange point (MIC-L1, for example). The panels tend to be irregularly shaped triangles and twisted rectangles floating in space that you can hull scrape for RMC.
If you're using your reclaimer to completely salvage a ship do you still need to print all the SCU out of the hopper before you break down a ship into CMC? I was told that they share the same Hopper and when you go to break down a ship it overrides the hopper and you lose all of the RMC. Is this still true?
Why the Reclaimer doesnt get S2 scrapers atleast i will never understand. Isn't the Vulture faster at salvaging if you don't have a second turret controller, becuase the pilot can use both scrapers? (So the main advantage for the Reclaimer is the amount of cargo.)
Yes, the vulture is far more efficient at scraping than reclaimer with the same amount of crew size(each person having their own vulture or all on a reclaimer) load a vulture in a Polaris, 890, or on a starfarer and you have lots of cargo space. The claimer is far more efficient with CM because of the large depot space. And I mean efficient because the vulture is far easier to maneuver and use than the reclaimer, not because the heads are different(clarification for anyone else who reads this) since the heads do the exact same thing on either reclaimer and vulture.
@davidthompson1453 Yeah, that's something I've been looking forward to once they fix persistence between servers and so on. Park your Vulture in the Aaron Halo, get your freighter there using it as a beacon to go back and forth to filling it up with the Vulture and the fly the RMC to the nearest planet, having the vulture as a beacon to easily get back after
Hey @Infinte Space! Thank you for this guide! I'm grateful for you, your channel and all your content! Keep up the great work! * gives a sharp salute * 💯⚡️🫡
Yesterday I salvaged 7 arrows on my Reclaimer. I had 29.000 ....paid for missions more than 10.000. So ~17.000 left. I sold it on Orison so my total become 63. 236 ((( Not cool...
Best all over salvaging tutorial I have seen. Great job.
Thanks mate o7
Vulture and prospector 100% top ships in my fleet for 4.0 wipe. They might not be the biggest or most pretty of ships, but they put AUEC in the bank 🤑
Vulture is pretty 😍

Amazing ship and also now unique :D
I di the same but with RMC hauling. We bet it will not be the same story after 4.0
@@thierrybo6304 we'll see, we'll see...
I love salvaging. Can't wait until they expand upon that game loop. Loreville has an interesting scrap yard area.. maybe more there in the future 🤔
Great video Thank you!! I am excited to see the mis fortune and the expanse. stay awesome 😎
Thank you o7

I think that I remember them saying that the concept artist that worked on the Reclaimer had previously worked on some of the Alien movies.

Excellent tutorial. I was wondering how to use that tractor beam!
I found the Vultures long arms annoying when scraping so hoping the MISC Fortune will fit the parking spot I’m going to have on my Liberator ( one day lol).
You’ll remember this post when the lib comes out in 2035.
Scanning to find a wreck first is also part of the process.
I have both; I cannot wait to hire for my crews to supply Pyro with the best RMC...I am gonna make a mint!
Congrats on the Vulture Purchase! You won't regret that one. Fly Safe... Roola
Thanks I am happy so far. o7
Change the reclaimer`s thrawlers for abrades and you will get significantly more RMC than with the thrawlers.... thrawlers are faster though.
can you craft the rifle version of the tractor beam? If so, can you craft the batteries for it as well?
@@rvbarton rifle ? Never heard

I so want that vult paint !!, alao i missed the IAE sale for the reclaimer, withdrawn from sale along with the C2 the morning i opened the store.
I didn't get the Best in show paint for my Reclaimer , I did my C1 , but not the Reclaimer. what would you suggest ?
Open the ticket to CIG they will grant you one. o7
I wish i could gift mine. I hate owning them
Do you need cartridges for the Maxlift?
Not jet.
Unloading the reclaimer is a bitch when its cargo bay is full, though...

Best in show armor has it if you buy it on CIG website. o7
so nothing has really changed in 4.0 for salvage
I was told the RMC sell price reduced to 7 to 8 k not sure about CM yet in 4.0.
@@billkranz8035 guess we will seee. but thats why I don't grind. :) not worth it.
I was thinking the same. Except the price of CM and RMC. And perhaps new asteroids firls in Pyro
How do I get the same GPU/CPU read out that you have in the bottom left of your video please?
NVidia overlay, customize position and size. 07
@ thank you
How can I get the performance metrics in the bottom right like he has?
That’s just using the Nvidia app
how do you control the salvage heads with the eye tracting? is that 4.0 th ink because i can't find that setting in 3243
Don't know for shore it was working automatically for me. I have to check if I can do the same in 3.24.3. o7

Not, because you require both for example to craft multi toll. It says how much you have RMC and how much CMC when you go to extract cargo. o7

Yeah, they nerfed RMC in 4.0 preview. now bounty is much better especially in Pyro.
The new skins are so bad, low level details. I kill any ship i see reping them in pyro :)
