I got an x-t20 2 months ago and i love it. Just need to grab one xf 27mm so i can take full advantage of it all day long. It is the epitomy of enthusiast's photography.
I bought the XT-20 w/ the XF 18-55mm back in January and I just had a grip show up in the mail today for it. I love it and the XF 18-55 that came with is a great lense, at least for my use. This was huge upgrade for me coming from a D3400. Couldn't be happier my with purchase!
I recently bought the X-T20 with the 18-55, 64 card and a battery for $799. I also had the XT3 with the 16-80, but returned it. I much prefer the XTrans3 processor and how it resolves noise. I can’t explain it well... but this camera seems so much more filmic than the XT3. I also bought the 23mm f2 for low light. For these prices you can’t beat this camera. I am also 100% a D Pad lover.
I recently picked up a X-T20 with the 18-55 lens. Very happy with the purchase. I still shoot Sony because I have the glass but the Fuji is my go to street shooter.
Wow, it’s been 4 years since I got my X-T10. Getting that camera is what lead me to this channel. Just want to say thanks for all the tips you’ve provided throughout the years. There’s so much I’ve learned from Omar!
I bought mine in January 2019 and no plans to change it anytime soon. I’m not a professional and the camera is far better than my photographing skills. I think it’s far wiser to invest in better lens and try to squeeze every bit the x-t20 can do. And the x-t30 has no d-pad ... For new buyers on a tight budget or wanting to add some prime to the bag it can be a strong option against the x-t30.
I bought a new X-T20 and the 18-55mm lens about a month ago. Just got through with assigning the function buttons the way I like them. Thanks for the help (and amusement) your videos have provided. Couldn't be happier!
I switched to Fuji (from Sony) a month ago and X-t20 is perfect choice for this: 1. Low cost. 2. Great kit lens for start. 3. Now I can complete my fav lenses: - Fujinon 35F2 now shipping to me - Viltrox 85 will be next - and finally Fujinon 16F1.4 as jewel in the crown ;) And then, on next year I will buy body XT3 or XH1.
X-T20 is a great camera. Still my favourite next to the Ricoh GR III. End of the day, the camera works as a camera, which is good. I use the 27mm and a huge range of vintage lenses. A camera is only as good as the operator. Using tripods, flashes and good lighting will make any camera shine. Anyways, good video, I agree with your review. Price is a total steal at the moment and it can still produce professional grade images. End of the day photography is still the art of capturing light, good light will capture good images. If low light image snaps are a priority then I'd say a smart phone like the newest Iphone or pixel Pixel 4 phone would have you covered. If you want to take a well lit professional photo the X-pro 2/X-T20 still has your back.
I just recently got a x-t20 combo with a 18-55 2.8-4 for my wife for about 560€ and she's loving it, i also got her one of these cheap pu leather cases from Amazon so we don't need a bag, just carry it around everywhere. I was considering a x-t30 first but the lack of the d-pad and much higher price makes the x-t20 the better deal.
In January I got the XT20 body only new here in the UK for £416 after heavy price discounting. Thanks Omar, all your XT20 videos convinced me it was worth taking the plunge into the Fuji world, thank you so much.
I love my x-t20! I bought it barely used on eBay from an American living in Tokyo, along with the Fujinon 18-55mm, after watching an earlier video of yours. Right off the bat, within a few days of owning it, I captured an amazing picture of an Arizona sunset and loved it so much I made a 20x30 print and hung it on my living room wall :)
After a recommendation from a friend and watching this video, I decided to pull the trigger on a used X-T20 w/ a 18-55mm lens. I fell in love with it right away. It’s my first real camera and it’s everything I expected it to be and more. Perfect starter camera. Your videos are awesome man. Thank you!
My first Fuji was an xt20. I’m now using an xt4. The other day I got a big scoff on my xt4 sensor, no idea how . I ran out of cleaning tools, and I went back to my xt20 until my stuff arrived in the mail. I love using the xt20, it’s like coming home. I’m a big dude but I love the small xt20 body in my hands.
It's extremely good value for money second hand. If you're on a limited budget or just want to splurge more on lenses too you really can't go too far wrong with it.
This is crazy! I bought mine around the same time it was released too and remember watching your videos about it! Here I am, back in 2020, trying to convince myself why I should still keep mine rather than upgrading. Thanks for making this video!
Thanks to your videos, buying an xt-20 in 2024 was the best decision i ever made. As a complete beginner, i just bought the 15-45mm xc lens to have zoom and keep the size down. I'll either get an xf lens or the laowa 65mm macro lens when i know how to use the camera better and the exposure triangle properly! So far, the camera has been easy to use and customise the way i want. Im taking a 10 week photography class, so that's a start.
I use my XT20 as a secondary camera or small ish stash in the pocket when I'm out kind of thing, but mostly these days it's nearly permanently hooked up with a plug in power source to the iMac for when I'm live streaming and it does a great job 😁
Omar, I am a Sony A7RIII 24-70 G Master user watched all your videos on the XT-20 now I am a Fujifilm Fan! Bought the XT-20 with cheap 18mm f2.0 lens for our minimalist Disney family vacation and loved it! I found out I was using it more often because it was small and I had it with me all the time! I am shooting mostly JPEG and the pictures out of the camera are amazing! Recently, I picked up the XT-2 with the 18-55 lens for $850 on Amazon. Definitely, the Fujifilm XT-20 and XT-2 are definitely worth it and killer deal in 2020!
Still have my XT20 with the 27mm following your recommendation in the past. As you say a great camera and combination to have in your pocket with you all the time
Gonna take it on a vacation next week, and I would not know why I would want to get a new camera.... pictures were good 3 years ago, why would they be bad now?
Totally agree with you, Omar. The X-T20 is a great camera. I have an X-T3, X-H1 and have been using the X-T20 for 2 years now. Despite all the merits of the T3 and H1, the X-T20 is my favorite camera. Great review, Omar, as always. Be always the same positive guy. Thanks.
I respectfully disagree at least when buying now. Yes the body layout and EVF are still amazing and better then loads of current camera's including your X-E3. But the Autofocus of the now dated 16mp sensor just isn't there nor thereabouts. Unlike the 24mp X-trans found in the X-T20 and X-E3. Sure the 26mp is even better but honestly i am never held back in terms of AF(don't shoot much in dim lighting) My X-E2 with latest FW updates was still an hit and miss in that regard.
Barney Klingenberg I don’t care much about AF speed. I don’t need fast AF and the AF on X-T1 is more than enough for me. Sometimes I use it with manual focus lens :) 16mp is also more than enough for most cases, except for landscape. For that I have an Sony A7R2
@@joao.s.cardoso totally agree. I find that the XT-2 s files don't look as good as the X-T1 s jpegs straight out of the camera. I am not a Pro, don't shoot much action. Mostly shoot family, friends and street for which the X-T1 s autofocus on the slower 35mm 1.4 is more than enough. And I love using a lot of manual lenses on it
I love the camera too. One thing o would suggest is to go to aliexpress and buy the extra eyepiece that is secured on the hot shoe. It is brilliant and changes the whole experience with the viewfinder.
Bought my X-T20 soon after the X-T30 was released, as I could still get it new at a much reduced price. While I use my X-H1 now for "serious" stuff (I'm purely a hobbyist), I'll grab the X-T20 for "on the go" stuff, like for this evening's walk where I could just stick it in my coat pocket with the 27mm lens, and off I went. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a capable general purpose camera on a budget and that does not want bulky, heavier equipment. (The 35mmF2 is great to use on it, and almost pocket-sized if you have large pockets. :) )
I have had the XT20 for 2 years and an XT2, both cameras, with a good selection of Fuji glass is all I need. The mere fact that other cameras, Fuji X, have been released, does not of itself render this camera, or the XT 2 in any way obsolete. They are capable of taking fine, beautiful Fuji in-camera, images for as long as I can hold them.
I bought mine (with the 18-5mm lens) on Amazon back in May. Two weeks later, they had none left. So glad that I got in just in time because I have never enjoyed using a camera so much and the results are great.
I bought my X-T20 with the 18-55mm (because of you and another TH-camr by the way) just before Christmas and it is a very good camera, like you said super for street photography and casual photo. I loveeeeeee the portability, carried it on me during my Christmas family party and snapped photos, something I couldn't do with my full frame Nikon. Although it is a 3 years old model, I do not think getting the latest model or waiting for the soon to be release X-T4 would make me a better photographer. The X-T20 is very relevant in 2020, after all, it is its year 😉
Bought it last year coming from an OMD EM10 Mk1. It's quite an upgrade and very much happy with the purchase. Still happy with it in 2020, as far as image quality goes its still pretty good for me.
Omar, great video! Your channel lead me to the Fuji ecosystemtem just after Christmas. I found a solid deal on an xt20. So far, so good. Enjoying the camera. Thanks for all of the info you provide on your channel. Keep the videos coming - a great resource.
Sold my x-t20 and bought a used x-t2 for $600 and only 4,300 actuations. Overall I find the x-t2 to be better ergonomically, do not miss the touch screen on the x-t20 and love the bigger viewfinder and controls on the x-t2. I feel the x-t20"s buttons and dials felt snappier and better made, other than that, very happy with my x-t2 and do miss my old x-t20 a little bit sometimes.
I got one x-t20 for 429$ (Second hand 1 month old) and i got 16-50 ii kit lens for 80$ to learn with this new camera, love your videos it’s help me to grow fast
Just got the X-T20... such a beautiful looking camera. The size is smaller than I thought. A lot smaller than my sister's DSLR. Now I got to find an adapter for my wife's Minolta lenses.
I got mine about 3 months ago. and it's certainly worth it. I bought it to go alongside my 5DII and 24-70L. I already had am X-E1, but that was just for fun stuff. Ya know what? I definitely use it more than my canon, and used it on half a dozen shoots so far and have added the 56mm/1.2 and 35mm/2 to go along with the 18-55.
I have X-T1, X-T2, X-H1 and X-T3. And will buy an X-T4, so that my X-T1 will be relaxing most of the time. My backpack is 4 bodies with 4 lenses. But I feel I need a much more lighter backpack with lighter lenses sometime, so I'll probably buy two X-T20s and one X-T30 at the end of this year.
As my X-T3 is in for repair ( broken shutter button) I got a used X-T20, as per your advice. I might actually like it better. Lighter, certainly, but I also like the two bracketing setting on an external dial. I use one for exposure bracketing, while the second brackets three film sims.
Hello. I bought fujifilm x-t20 two weeks ago. I think its only failure is photo transfer. Because it haven't got bluetooth. I don't have wi fi everywhere. But the other features are very satisfying for new photographers. By the way your other videos helped me about choosing x-t20 Thank you so much.
I love my XT-20! I originally traded in my X-T1 for it and haven't looked back. I keep the XF-55-200 on in most of the time, but my trusty XF-18-55 from the X-T1 bundle does better in low light than my other OIS zooms. The one thing I wonder about is how non-OIS red-label zooms on the new IBIS in the XT-4 compare to the XT-20 + OIS.
Sure is, I bought a used one 3 yrs ago, mint and still looks good... I want to buy the New 27mm pancake with the Aperture ring for it....I like Dpad and flip screen old style....Same as My Used T3 I just bought. Do NOT want the Articulating screens they do now. Ruins stealth mode on the streets
Good review Omar! Also consider the sexier looking (in my opinion) rangefinder style X-E3 which has the additional swipe functions on the touchscreen in lieu of the D pad. I personally prefer the X-E3 and don't mind losing the D pad although the screen is fixed which some will not like. However, I would urge potencial buyers to pay only slightly more and get a used X-T2 instead for the following reasons: 1) Larger and easier to use EVF, 2) Weather sealing, 3) Option to add a battery grip, 4) better quality 4k (if that is important to you), 5) Slightly larger size makes it better to hold
Had one for a year, just got another traded in some old film camera gear I never use. Replaces my Canon DSLRs found it a great aid in terms of reducing my back pain. Missed the big advantage the kit is so light in comparison.
Hello! I have a question, how fast does the XT20 take single photos without and with the flash? (not in the burst mode). How long do you have wait after taking a photo to be able to take another one in both cases? (without and with lamp)
I turned off the touch screen functions completely for shooting (still enabled for image review) and I don't miss it. I was bumping it too much accidentally and it was causing mayhem. Being able to tap to focus was a legit good feature though.
Was in a store recently, for a bit of quick _Fuji Fondling_ . I couldn't connect with the XT-20, too cramped and cheap feeling in the controls but I'll try to love the X=Txx series at a later time because they're obviously nicer APS-C designs. The X-E2 they had felt better for me. But I'm left-eye dominant and so, rangefinder-ish models (eye piece on the left) aren't great for me. And then I handled an X-T2 and was like, "Oh, this is the shiznit."
The XT-20 is a icon in camera’s already and definitely hot in 2020. It will be a classic for the multi-photographer. It is suitable for many personal styles of photography and therefore my always in the bag camera.
Agree with all those points Omar - ready to upgrade my xt20 for a better low light performing camera (so many family events happen indoors and I find it not up to par and I don't want to use flash where possible ). Its been a great entry level - ready for to see what happens to xt4 performance and xt3 prices ;). The only reason I don't move to a full frame (sony etc) is the add on of lens costs. Whenever I look into those bodies I then look at the lenses and the total is too much for an amateur imo (well, this amateur anyway)
Please do a video on how to use focus tracking, shutter speed, aperture, tracking settings etc.. I'm having a hard time consistently getting shots in focus while using tracking on my XT-3. My training ground is with our puppy which seems very demanding for the camera.
It's still viable in 2020. It's a great camera and the sensor is fantastic. I found that I needed the grip. The discounts offered with the body and the 18-55 lens are definitely worth it. I love the 18-55 and the 55-200 lenses. I'm still hoping for a X70 upgrade.
I have the x-t20 as well, I love using it and just now got a second lens. The 18-55 has been wonderful. I am looking forward to seeing what the X-T4 will offer but yah, supper happy and would def recommend it for others even after all these years :)
Thank you so much, Omar, for your great and inspiring videos! I found your channel when I was looking for my first camera. Now, I'm considering purchasing either the Fujifilm XT-2 or XT-20. I believe they can be awesome cameras for photography even in 2023. Would you still recommend them, or are they too outdated? Would it be better to consider the XT-30?
I held an XT20 in my hand and it was miniature - and I’m a girl with small hands. So I love the XT3 but I bet the XT2 feels the same and I have an XT1 which feels great to hold. I think you need to try and hold the cameras before buying.
Hey Omar, Thanks for making another video regarding XT20. I have same camera and I am loving it. Learning so much things from your videos. Thumbs up for it. Thank you
Tried it for my first entry into mirrorless but quite frankly found it far too small to use comfortable for me.. I found I couldn't hold it properly and became conscious that I might drop it at any moment, So I sold it and bought an X-T3 with a battery grip.
Still sad about the D-Pad, Omar? ; ) I am convinced, that the newer touch screens (e.g. of the X-T30) are doing the job quite well. Did you see: At least the X-T4 will still have the D-Pad. Greetings from Duesseldorf, germany.
In a word: Yes. Sadly I had to sell mine & all my lenses when I lost my job. It was more camara than I would ever need. I didn't like the styling of it, I much prefer the looks of the XT1, 2 & 3. Most importantly though, I loved the images it allowed me to take.
Bought mine used on ebay a few months ago with the 18-55mm lens. Love it for travel and general use. Don't even mess with raw currently and do most of my minor PP in Googlefotos or Luminar4.
Raw files is not that good? For low light, portrait and landscapes only crop sensor is a problem or there are other kind of issues, which makes Sony and Canon more preferable to you?
This camera replaced my X20 and now used by my daughter. This is by far my best camera ever and a keeper. I use JPEG.I took the XF 55-200 too. For my budget this has just been a wonderful experience. Yes, it does get a bit complicated sometimes. New or secondhand I thoroughly recommend.
If you want a camera for only street photography, buy the x100 line. But if you want a versatile and more all-around quick shooting, definitely the x-t20.
I'v get t20 yesterday, and I'm realy disapponted battery life after my clumsy x-t100. It's eating up energy like a beast, but image quality is absolutely the same. Lesser weight and comfortable body are the point, but working time is major drawback for me...
I got an x-t20 2 months ago and i love it. Just need to grab one xf 27mm so i can take full advantage of it all day long. It is the epitomy of enthusiast's photography.

This is the camera i'm eyeing and saving up for to get this year!

Brother your 20 is definitely battle tested! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I'm still rocking the XT2. So far I have not found a reason to upgrade yet but the XT4 IBIS is very tempting.
I love mine, it’s my only camera and plan to keep it as long as it keeps keeping on.
Love mine. Got it in July 2019. I throw (well, place it) in my purse or backpack most days with the 27 or 35/2 lens, "just in case."
Funny. I just ordered a used one yesterday! So excited. This is my first own serious camera. I enjoy street photography so I got the 35 mm f2
Just the video I'm looking for since yesterday. Thank you!
Love the review I’ll keep my xt20 😊
Just bought one last month thanks to all your tips, man. Impressive camera. Thank u very much Omar!
just bought a XT-20 used last week, will be arriving in a few weeks from now. Looking forward to use it
I used to have xt20, but it had poor opportunities for video. Now I have xt30 and absolutely love it
What about 2022?
I love my XT-20! I originally traded in my X-T1 for it and haven't looked back. I keep the XF-55-200 on in most of the time, but my trusty XF-18-55 from the X-T1 bundle does better in low light than my other OIS zooms. The one thing I wonder about is how non-OIS red-label zooms on the new IBIS in the XT-4 compare to the XT-20 + OIS.
got my x-t20 not too long ago, loved it every day since i brought her out of the shop
I got my last week with the 27mm pancake Lens. Love the portability and the design
Just bought mine second hand. It's much more capable than I am!
Hello! I have a question, how fast does the XT20 take single photos without and with the flash? (not in the burst mode). How long do you have wait after taking a photo to be able to take another one in both cases? (without and with lamp)
I have an X-E2 with the 35mm f/1.4 and I'm wanting to upgrade this year. There are entirely too many options.
I turned off the touch screen functions completely for shooting (still enabled for image review) and I don't miss it. I was bumping it too much accidentally and it was causing mayhem. Being able to tap to focus was a legit good feature though.
I bought mine new last month for €699 including the 18-55 lens. Love it.
Dude I just bought mine last week!!
With the 35mm F1.4 😍
Gah I'm already so in love with it, it's the most awesome little black box I ever had
Why did you choose the 1.4 over the 2 if you dont mind me asking ?
@@JP-nx9rm because I like to take night shots, I needed a very wide aperture:)
The park in 5:56 is definitely here in Costa Rica, looks like "La Fortuna"
So is the XT20 worth it in 2021 for amateur photography. I am looking at one used with the 18-55 2.8-4 lens for $500 USD
I got it, and it's amazing! ❤️
Definitely worth it.
I have the x-t20 as well, I love using it and just now got a second lens. The 18-55 has been wonderful. I am looking forward to seeing what the X-T4 will offer but yah, supper happy and would def recommend it for others even after all these years :)
Hey Omar...thanks for the reviews...just made the jump into ILC and opted for this camera.
I just got mine 4 days ago, I'm really happy about it, great little camera!
I bought yesterday this brand-new camera with the XF 18-55 lens for €699. Thank you for your advice 🙌
I just bought the X-T20 with the XF 18-55mm for 575€ on sale. I love it!
On what website did you find your deal?
Pepijn Rijkschroeff oh it wasn’t online, I bought it in a store in Madrid, El Corte Inglés
Question, did you bring a gun to the store to get that deal or was the shopowner selling stock because he ran out of business?
Barney Klingenberg LOL
Definitely! X-T20 is still my baby!
Your video presentations are just awesome Omar 😊
I just bought mine yesterday. Getting it next week Friday.
Hey Omar,
Thanks for making another video regarding XT20. I have same camera and I am loving it.
Learning so much things from your videos. Thumbs up for it.
Thank you
I just bought an X-T20 in near mint condition and 18-55mm for 610$ on ebay. Couldn't be happier!
Your Mum looks a very young 70 Omar. Look after her and show her loads of love.
Comming from the Canon EOS 600D (Rebel T3i), the new X-T4 flip screen is an excellent news... I miss it on my X-T20...
Bought mine used on ebay a few months ago with the 18-55mm lens. Love it for travel and general use. Don't even mess with raw currently and do most of my minor PP in Googlefotos or Luminar4.
I bought mine new in Nov 2019. Loving it!
@Sean Milligan it's great. Love the image quality. Don't need more at all
@Sean Milligan did you ever bought it ? I am thinking of getting it as a first ever too :)
which one should i get if I have to choose between xt20 & xt200? The price of xt20(body only) is same as xt200(with 15-45 kit lens)
