    Body off frame restoration. Highly detailed to factory specs. This one is exceptional! Line up the best 1967 442s and I'm confident this one would be a 1st place winner.
    EXTERIOR: I'm blown away, the fit and finish are incredible. It didn't look this good new. The body is absolutely amazing. Every inch is laser beam straight. No rust, damage, or issues. The panels line up square and flush. The paint is literally a mirror. You can read a dictionary in the reflection. No vinyl top, it is slick looking. I did not find a flaw. Every piece of chrome and stainless trim is restored like new. New windshield. Weatherstrips and window fuzzys were replaced. Chrome SS1 wheels with reproduction red lines really make it pop.
    INTERIOR: It is excellent floor to ceiling. Carpets look new, it has embroidered 442 mats. In between the bucket seats is an original 4-speed console in very good shape. Original shifter says 442 right on it. Original set of seatbelts look great too. The seat cushions, upholstery and trim are mint. Door panels, armrests and window cranks are mint. The dash pad and instrument panel look great. It has the factory Rallye Pac gauge cluster with a tachometer. New reproduction sport wheel. The headliner, visors and mirror were replaced. It also has an Oldsmobile vanity mirror. Interior lights work.
    ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is restored and detailed to factory specs right down to assembly line markings and tags. Correct VQ 400-350 horsepower motor. Stock manifolds, carb, air cleaner, valve covers. It features factory power steering and brakes. Cadmium plated booster. Every component looks proper and fresh. The wiper motor and alternator were replaced. The windshield washers are hooked up, battery is properly secured, has a disconnect switch, has hood insulation etc. The radiator has correct rubber flaps, clamps and cap. The metal surfaces are painted smooth and glossy.
    TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Spotless metal, I don't see any splices or repairs in the floor or quarter panels. It has a neat coat of spatter finish. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are gloss black. It has reproduction mats, weatherstrip and decals. The spare is a reproduction red line tire (never used) on an SS-1wheel. Detailed jack assembly.
    UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and the chassis was completely taken apart, stripped down, repainted and rebuilt. It has the rallye suspension which includes swaybars front and back, rear boxed control arms. All the bushings, balljoints, steering components were replaced. The brake system was completely restored, it has disc in front. The e-brake assembly is hooked up. The fuel system has all been replaced. It has the correct type dual exhaust system with crimped tail pipes and slash cut tips. Looking up at the motor it's spotless, the starter is rebuilt. It has an M-20 Muncie 4-speed. 12 bolt rear end with 3.42 posi gears. The metal floors, braces, rockers are bone dry! The floors are painted satin black. Assembly line stickers and markings were reapplied.
    This car is in outstanding condition. I've seen many, many collector cars. Very few have been as nice as this one. The fit, finish and function is impressive. This car was once a part of Hendrick Motorsports collection and a feature car at Barrett Jackson. The Hemi Road Runner I have has a paint job like this and it cost $45,000! Here is your chance to buy a high end restored muscle car at a deal.
    I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.

    Black Beauty! The Sixties had it all, music and muscle. Four on the floor, four-barrel carb and dual exhausts. 442!

    Black gets dirty so easily, but damn when it's clean and well done like that, looks beautiful

    Incredible 442 that is probably the slickest paint job, I know that these have a special place in Jays heart, nothing sounds as good as Oldsmobile correct duals has the unmistakable inboard motor rumble.

    I love body tags. According to this one, the car was originally two tone pewter/black. That would have been neat to see. The trunk lid is missing the posi warning sticker on the underside.

    I will use the word describe this beautiful ride. And that word is;
    "Impressive"
    It won't be me because I don't have $74,000 and I cannot afford to finance it. Someone out there is going to have themselves a very nice collectible. I would say this car is considered rare they didn't make many of them.

    Why does it have a top up/down switch on the dash?

    • @totalyep
      @totalyep ปีที่แล้ว

      Good catch. They must have replaced the dash.

    • @oldman-zr2ru
      @oldman-zr2ru ปีที่แล้ว

      The car doesn't have a power antenna so it should have a rear window defogger and that would be the switch. Oops! Went to their website and noticed the top up/down switch. It's possible they had a bad switch and had to use the wrong switch to make the rear defogger work.

    Nice 442 but not for 75k. It has no a/c. Is that exhaust street legal?
