@imo8249 we already know that a jury would never be taken there. It's vastly different than it was when it was lived in. Walls removed, all items removed, and sound will travel differently. They would never get an accurate visual of what it was like. It's EXTREMELY rare for a jury to be taken to a crime scene. Both sides have already stated that they have everything they need too, and both sides agree that a jury visit wouldn't benefit either side. In the meantime, since the area is nothing but college kids, the tourist trap that house has created has not only disrupted students, but it's also not safe for them to since it brings all sorts of people to that area. It being there also increases the chances of a copycat murder in that area. Therefore, it being up does more harm than good. An accurate 3D tour of the layout with all items like beds, bookcases, couches, blood, ect along with crime scene pictures will suffice - like they do in every other murder case we've had.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense understands how vitally important it is to have kept the house for the trial!! Now it’s gone there’s no way of getting it back!! Something is seriously wrong!
There will be an appeal if convicted and one of the issues will be this house being demolished and giving teeth to a possible theory

As a recovered meth addict, I couldn't agree more. We need to teach our children there are more things to enjoy in life, like hobbies, working on skills, etc. More worth the money too. I so appreciate your comment, I feel like people who think like us are a rare breed.

What does the perpetrator think when he sees this happening? What do the families of the victims think. What does the original owner of the house think, who gifted it to the university?
Why would the owner gift it to the university? That's another thing that is highly suspect and questionable.
This is crazy.. 1 man , 4 murders w a knife in 8 min with others in the house dead silent 3am. Almost zero evidence at scene. I remembered thinking thats impossible that day.

What anyone else wishes was done with the property is completely irrelevant as sad as that is. The Chapin family wanted it gone. Which family's wishes should we respect?

What was house like from inside now we will never know
The Chris Watts house sat empty for years then now a new family lives in it and loves it! The "House of Horrors" in Oklahoma from only months ago is up for sale, possibly already sold by now! Same for most houses and apartments they're rarely demolished after incidents like this.

@@CatalinaFOIA. I seriously doubt that. Asbestos is dangerous when airborne. They would be wearing hazmat suits. The bldg would be covered to contain the particles. Ripping out asbestos is a huge undertaking.
Robb elementary is still standing here in TX too, places people WANT demolished stay standing. This was a bad move.

If this house had asbestos like most older homes do, the pollution and health risks for the neighbors is not worth it. Let alone it is a nice home that others could've rented in our economy that is dying in inflation rn for our younger generations who are trying to make it in life. What a shame.

Seemed kinda rude and some would say suspicious that they started tearing it down before they said they would. And before any cameras were rolling. No one thought for one second that all those cameras present would like to capture this whole process. For history's sake if nothing else.
I can't believe that some of the parents of the victims are good with this. Ive never heard of this happening before a trial before, its very disturbing and suspicious imo.

It is better off this way. That house is full of bad vibes and horrible tragic memories and better off gone. I do agree however they should have waited for the trial and judgment to be over before removing it.

@@ministryofungentlemanlywarfarebecause upon a guilty plea? He can claim he was misinformed and the defense did him a disservice in allowing the teardown of a possible crucial piece of evidence. This could very well get him off if he is guilty. That and also the fact that LE has 3 other DNA samples they have mis handled, interviews that have not been recorded or notes taken etc. I don’t think he will spend much time in prison if he is found guilty. This case has been bungled quite a bit and that is some issues we know about. I am sure there will be tons more. LE and the University did not anticipate the National attention here and tried to ram the investigation through. The public is not near as naive as the thought. BK has some strong evidence for an appeal if found guilty.

My whole thing about this house being torn down and the trial still not being set for one person they nabbed and are trying to pinn down for quad capital murder, not even begun or over.....at all! Is its NOT ABOUT BK AS MUCH AS IT IS THE FAMILYS RIGHTS. because trust you mee...there will be civil litagations comming out the eyes and ears of a whole lit of people involved in this case...
And in order to do just one civil law suit, and be sucssfull...they will need eveidence and everything that BK had and more have a case...The familys need that house to stand for thier important purposes and needs for after this one nefaarious trial....theyre might be more to come...ya bust never can be so sure!!!

WAIT! I just thought of something. Are they taking all of the demolished house pieces to a special place to comb through for additional evidence? Maybe they are looking for more DNA evidence in the walls or deep in the flooring? Maybe they needed to get deeper into the flooring, baseboards, and walls for evidence but the house was so unstable that they weren’t able to unless it was demolished? I certainly hope they are sifting through everything.

NOT the issue. They should’ve waited until the trial was over. At that point no one would’ve had a problem with the demolition. It’s literally the crime scene. I’ve never heard of this happening before the conclusion of the trial.
Idaho University purchased it so it was not going to ever be rented out again anyhow

They have healed just fine. They are well aware of the drug culture and fight clubs and crime. The police don’t write reports on calls so they can promote the university as a safe place when it is far from that. The university is involved here somehow and so is LE. They did not anticipate the eyes of the nation on them and this broad gag order has proven that they are clearly hiding the truth. Why rush one DNA sample through and not the other 3 DNA samples???? Where are those??? Why are they hiding that???
