Well... that's never happened to me before... Clutch "issue" on the Wildcat.

  • Donald's 2014 Arctic Cat Wildcat Sport Limited (700cc's of fury!) made a heck of a noise then stopped moving while cruising in Potter County so we had to tow it all the way home. We figured the belt had given up, as the engine was still running but it would not move. Of course, we didn't have a spare belt so we had to bring it back to the shop.
Today we're going to pop the belt housing cover off and we expect to see a blown apart belt. What we find is very different - something that I've never seen happen before...
Thank you so much for watching! We really appreciate all of our viewers!

Polish the buttons not the pillars. The buttons are cheep to replace and are the real issue as the tolerances are too large from factory to keep the engagement quiet and cause binding when hot.

That's a very good pointer! If we have to do it next time, I'll try that instead and see what it does. Thanks for sharing!

Wow. Yeah, that's the only machine that has done that to us so far. He's got a few hundred miles on it since the last fix, so far so good! 800 miles though, sounds like you got it! Thanks for watching!

Turns out... the clutch fell off again later. Had to re-torque it. In the second video, I show how I torque it down tighter. Here's the link. Hope that helps! th-cam.com/video/Kacv46ydAQo/w-d-xo.html
