Habit Rouge is one of my favourite frags ever, although I'm in my 50's, but I feel it'd suit anyone over 25. Very elegant & professional. I also love Vetiver, also elegant & professional but very different from HR. I hope your back is better, btw.
Great video, Pete, A lot of people seem to worry about perfumes fading over time (even if stored properly) so this is quite a good sign with even the citruses still being present.
I love vintage perfumes 🤩. I recently bought two older bottles of Ysatis by Givenchy and I think they are beautiful, perfect for this time of year. I also love those "more challenging" fragrances like Youth Dew 🤓
I just got a bottle of Gucci Nobile. Hadn’t been openend. And it smells AMAZING. Exactly how I remembered it back in 1998 ❤ I had an opened miniature of it before. I recognised the smell, but way less quality. Glad I still bought the big bottle.
Would love to see you try and share your thoughts on the modern version of these old Guerlains. Thanks for sharing. Back then designer were modern day niche quality.
Hi Peter, I recently got a bottle of 1958 USSR perfume called Indiiskiy Sandal by Rasvett , I heard about it from the video of Russian Adam, it really seems very very modern and timeless creation, I wish I know more about old USSR perfumery .
Surprised about Rocabar, all the versions I had (and have) smell pretty good quality to me (resinous, sweet, piney with an orange undertone). Maybe it's gone bad? Cheers!
I have a full bottle of Habit Rouge edp, and two full bottles of La Nuit edp. Both are wonderful, and both in my (admittedly clueless) opinion, hark back to a better perfume age. Vetiver has something that disagreed with me 50 years ago, and still does.
@@FragranceView I agree. I remember when I was like 7 or 8 and sneaking sniffs of my grandmother's perfume! She was a modern kind woman and I loved her perfumes. They didn't smell like grandmother perfume Rather just really beautiful and each one smelled completely different than the next, not like now, many perfumes are similar feeling. I think the old ones maybe we're more unique 🤔 who knows. Lovely memories but I don't remember the names of them.
I have tried a few vintage perfumes lately and I find that I like quite a few of them, but wouldn't pay the very high prices that are being asked for many of them.

the back is doing ok now, thank you!

I was quite impressed about the citrus notes!

This was so much fun to watch.
Loved it! The dudes blasting Axe (yuck) spray in the locker room.
Hilarious!

Yes I'd like to try them, I fly to India in Feb, hopefully I can find them in Duty Free in the airports

very cool
Some of the top French classics were created by a Russian nose, including some Chanel classics.

Yes it does seem the older ones are better than what they make today
Awesome little bottle of La Nuit.
dinky!
La Nuit edp is one of my favorite fragrances. -Chris
The designer perfumes of the past are so much nicer smelling than what they make today

yeah people are a bit crazy with the prices of some of them
Of the lot, vintage Guerlain Vetiver is my favorite.💚 I also enjoy vintage La Nuit.
the La Nuit was very nice!
How is your back doing? Feeling better?
Much better thank you!
@@FragranceView Glad to hear it.
I feel like some niches are going the way of vintage, but making them a touch modern
Everything comes back around eventually
Loving that thumbnail 😂
Thanks!
