No one could touch him I remember back in the 70's and 80's Grammy nominees competing in his category would not show up because they were already convinced that he would win. Today the guy is a super icon. They should have produced an epic movie about Stevie by now. My fear is that the youth of today will not know what they have truly missed.
This was my wedding song 36 years ago, I got married to my husband in July 16, 1988 and we are still together to this day, people if you ever decide to make this classic song your wedding song make sure that the one you're going to marry is your soul mate,because this was no doubt the perfect song for me to walk down the aisle to become as one and I wouldn't change anything about that special day.

I was in ectasy by the time he finished this song. He actually cried during this song. I think the entire audience was crying with joy.

Why any covers when you can still listen to the original and enjoy! I don't think though that Stevie can still hit those notes with ease any more. Still my favorite of all time.

Well we both moved on but this particular song always open the floodgates, still to this days some 40 plus years later. God orgasrated this song right at the start "God has made us fall in love it's true". The love is true and it's true God has done this. You can't grasph the debt of this song unless you identify God essence.
I was challenged by a customer I'd served to compare this song with the original from O'Brian. The original was very smoothly delivered, very much tailored to the artist. A perpetual R&B Classic. But this version is touching in that inspirational way that Stevie Wonder is known for, so in my judgement, though Wonder did a great job, I must give due props to O'Brian, since I felt transported back to the era that this was in constant play while listening!
