1:26 - There is actually a Thief Gold fan mission that uses this monster and it's called The Catacombs of Knoss (Part 2) 1:49 - The Ramirez Sergeant has his own stats, too, and AI parameters. 2:25 - Again, this creature appears in some fan missions, including The Builder's Paradise, along with the other robot featured in 2:08. 2:44 - This was used as a sneaky security device in Whistling of the Gears. 3:21 - LOL! Also, the purple fruit that we like to call Plumsie is called "Purpturd" in the game files. I think it was the model name.
I heard about Catacombs of Knoss using the Spectre, I forgot to point out that the sergeant has special stats in the vid, didn't know that the Scurry Bot AND the System Shock 2 robot was used in fan missions, the SS2 robot came to me as a huge surprise because I had never seen it in any of the official games' files, and lol yeah I laughed at the weird names when I started digging into the games a while ago, also you are correct, the plumsie is called purpturd.bin in the game files
the two headed ogre got put into the 9th mission of The Black Parade, in the basement of the mages sanctum, its basically that 2nd picture from the left
Kinda funny that after playing alot of FMs, you simply forget these unused assets were unused by the original games. Also, Clockwork Eye shows up in "The Black Frog" FM campaign (currently playing it), pesky little buggers they are.
I haven't really played a lot of fan missions lately but it's a surprise knowing about them reusing these assets, but yeah, it's kinda funny because you think it's used by the game but you forget, I'm very sure there is still more unused stuff and I look forward to make a part two if I can :D
Thanks for posting this! As a long-time fan of the Thief Series, I feel that novelty of replaying the game has worn off after several completions, and all I have is nostalgia feelings. This "new" content was very interesting and refreshing to watch.,
Glad you enjoyed it! I have two more videos on my channel, one detailing unused Thief TDP/Gold levels and the other details what we currently know/have of Thief 2 Gold that never released, I haven't seen any unused stuff for Deadly Shadows except one file that was referring to PS2 (which hints over a PS2 version that was in development, if I find more unused content for DS, I'll make a video about it), And yeah, Game gets old once you know it all and play it more than a few times, I feel you lol
@@Dodylectable Yes, this program can show any Dark Engine resource from textures to animations and even missions. I will be very happy if you make a video about it ;)
I'm pretty sure it just needs opening the mission files via DromEd and replacing the shape in the properties of the servants, but I'll probably screw it up lol
Most of these things made it into the Black Parade

Looks like the lads making the black parade used the wraiths texture for the monster that lives in the sewer pit!
That's cool
Thanks for sharing these interesting infos!

lmao the file names at 3:20
the creators probably were like "It's not up to the mark but it's not that bad either"
lmao true

Dodylectable thanks for the suggestion. I’ll check out your other videos
Hope you enjoy :D
Would love more of these videos
I knew all of this :)
I'm curious, was the spectre used in any Thief FMs? Apparently it can fly which is interesting
Possibly, I think there was one but I can't remember the name
Nice video
Thank you :D

Yet another confirmation that nobody heard about Dark Engine Viewer... :-/
I didn't; what is it? Assuming it previews the game's models or something

That's pretty interesting, I'll take a look once I'm free; thanks for bringing it up
make a mod that turns all the servants into the golden child. such a wasted model , and the one they used is so ugly
