I saw many British people under Fully Charged Show episode comments section complaining the starting price of GBP25000 is too expensive. Well, Renault Zoe listed price starts from GBP27600 in the UK. Ora Cat looks small but is actually quite big. If they think Ora Cat doesn't deserve GBP25000, feel free to buy Renault Zoe, an outdated EV based on a ICE platform...And to some people who say GBP25000 is a lot more expensive than price in China, prices in China are quoted AFTER government subsidies and VAT (13%) is a lot lower and Vehicle tax (10%) is waived in China for EV. Meanwhile, there are 10% import duty and 20% VAT in the UK. There are logistics and dealership costs to consider as well...

If it hits EU @ a price level of 25k€ it will be a very attractive option. For more than that, the competition is already fierce. So..... the car is finally here, let's wait for the price (and trim) levels...

@@KingOstrichGamer LoL 6.9 is not slow, especially for EVs that are much quicker at lower everyday speed anyway.
For comparison it is faster than my Golf to 60 and much faster than my Golf to 30... which is as expected, the old beat up postal van EVs we have running around may lose in a proper quarter mile but around city traffic they feel like Tesla Plaid.
@Claes Gilered Actually any EV would be a better fit for "red light freaks" since they will out accelerate most ICE cars to the speed limit.

The GT will appeal to boys and the standard Cat will appeal to girls IMHO. Reminds me of the MG Metro of the 1980s with it's go fast stripes and red seat belts. The GT is definitely a boy racer car without the added higher insurance costs of a hotter hatch - which should appeal to younger buyers who face very high insurance costs.

Representing senior citizens I think the retro look is great! I hate most of the “new” dragon/tiger/fish or whatever front end they are coming out with these days. Cute car but they went a bit far with the red accents especially on the dash and the wheels. I think a standard cat with more power would have been a better choice for the Euro market. Nice retro look and understated power, the GT may be a flop.

The standard Cat in Europe will have the same power as the GT in China. I wish we had the same option in China actually, but perhaps they will use the same specs on the next model year.

I wish you could get the powertrain of the GT on the "normal" Cat. The GT-Line is a little too - trashy (sorry!) for my taste. The ridiculus spoiler, the fake-carbon - looks like hardware store tuning for a fifth hands bmw e36 selected by an 18 y.o.

are you sure its 63kw/h battery? i drive the GT many times for tests and max battery size is 59.1kw/h.
where does the 63 come from? i doubt that they install a bigger battery in the non chinese version but then reduce the range to 42km max.
(450km range in china for GT and 510km non GT)
from my driving experience of both versions i will buy the GT for sure soonish. so much more fun and since i have a charger in my garage i dont care about 50km less range because i can charge it almost for free everyday anyway. the only CON i see is the not changeable interior! this really sucks because i hate the red parts everywhere. outside i will install foil and make the whole car black and white. but inside? change all seat belts and leather will cost alot efforts... the price for the GT here is exact same as non GT so i will overlook the cons and get the GT. alot fun drive. front wheels leaving rubber on the street every time you punch it. haha!

Chinese probably use net capacity while other countries use gross capacity.
The smaller battery use LFP so does not need a buffer as they can be charged to 100% and down to 0% and not damage the battery so shows one size.
While NCA in the larger should only be charged to 80% and never down to zero so have a built in buffer to protect over charging and under discharging.
