We just booked for our family to sail over the Christmas Holiday. Thank you for showing the waterpark area. My 9 year old was just blown away and said that's all he needs to see and he can't wait.
Will be a great time! Remember to check the daily planner for waterpark hours - I found the slide lines to be short about 30 minutes before closing. It's fine to wait in line, but if you're strategic about it, you can basically get the slides to yourself! Other times might have low lines too - maybe right when they open, maybe around lunch when everyone's busy eating - who knows, but keep an eye out for low lines
Just finished a cruise on the Meraviglia. The ship was magnificent. Our cabin was a very short walk to the glass elevator and used it every day. Did not have a problem at the MDR Panorama. Only complaint, the extremely rude passengers on our cruise. The show were good as was the buffet.
I’m going to the Bahamas in October to celebrate my 50th birthday. It’s gonna be our first experience on MSC/Meraviglia. I’m pretty sure we’re going to love it and I’m very excited.
Imagine that....were going on the Meraviglia in 2 weeks for my 50th....and its our 1st MSC cruise as well. There are 14 of us and were easy to please so Im sure we'll have a blast. I heard embarkation from Brooklyn was a little dicey but were going with the flow.
@@cmmandelbaum7036I did on Divina. You have to close to the person speaking to get anything out of it. The parts I could here were interesting, but I didn't feel like pushing and shoving people, so I missed 50% of it. I would ask how many people bought it. Just my experience.
@@cmmandelbaum7036 No I did not. I actually did not see the tour as an option when I was there. I went on NCL recently and wanted to do it but it was sold out.
Great video format, much more enjoyable than people holding their cameras in selfie mode 80% of the time...I went on my first MSC ship last month, Seashore for 3 nights, and loved it. Meriviglia looks even cooler, booked it for a week in December - snagged a balcony room (with a tub and oversized balcony) + drinks/wifi package for $650/person, taxes and gratuities included. How did you feel about the buffet? Honestly hated the chaos on Seashore and the food was meh, but not the worst. Also worth noting to look for e-mails regarding their upgrade bidding program, you can find great deals if they accept your offer. We bid the max on a Yacht Club interior (only $215/person) but it was denied on sailing day, my guess is they were waiting on YC interior guests to potentially upgrade but no rooms became available.
@@vesselvibesmediayes! Similar to Royal's "royalUP" program. You'll get an invitation link that takes you to a list of available room types, each with a slider to submit a bid. Next to the slider it'll tell you how strong your offer is. On Royal I've bid the minimum and been accepted several times.
ah got it, that's interesting. Definitely something to keep in mind. For me, I pretty much always get the thermal suite pass, which is also usually included in the higher room types. Good thing to keep in mind bc I'm always spending on the pass anyway. Thanks for this! How much better are the higher room types on royal vs msc?
Thank you for your info. Can you share on which website you have grabbed the Balcony Room with the wifi/Drink Package for $650 per/person? Thanks in advance!
Holland America's MS Volendam had real wood on the lower promenade (we had an ocean view on that deck last June). You've done a good job on your video. Do you know if the bowling is 10 or 5 pin?
Great Video! Thanks for posting! Just wondering if anyone knows what decks to stay on if you smoke? My grandma wants to go on this ship in october so just looking for a good cabin for her close to smoking section, but also not right near the top as she's never cruised before! I've only ever cruised with Carnival before but MSC looks fun as all get out!
Thank you! It looks like the main pool deck is the best bet. I would just make sure her room is somewhere near midship - you'll want to use the main elevator shaft in the middle. There's no elevator shaft in the back of the ship, so you end up doing a lot of walking to get to your room. For smoking, she'll likely frequent the main pool and the main elevator lobby in the middle of the ship will drop her right at the pool. Doesn't matter the deck, I'd just make sure her room is near that elevator shaft. Rooms in the back of the ship are a bit of a pain. If middle is not available, go forward. Just avoid the back
I want to thank you in advance if you can give me this answer with some detail on Royal Caribbean ships every night from about 8:00 p.m. to 12:30 or 1:00 a.m. they have three to four different musical entertainment venues one will be a piano bar one will be a rock singer one will be a Latin band and sometimes there's another venue with another full band how did MSC meraviglia have it how many different musical entertainment venues with singers from what time to what time looking forward to hearing your response thank you
There's live music throughout the ship in a similar manner. In general, I've found that msc has fewer live bands, but much better main shows. That seems to be where MSC invests their entertainment budget. Go to the main show, and on Meraviglia - there's the Cirque du Soleil - I'd try to get tickets in advance. There's plenty of live music - but on MSC it seems that the most talented musicians are in the main shows
Leaving Iowa around 4AM, goin back home to NY! Going on this ship on the 28th with my family and really excited to go to Bermuda:) glad its a 3 day stay at the island so hopefully while the ship is docked it will be more empty so wife and I could really take advantage and explore the ship :) It looks absolutely gorgeous
@@cmmandelbaum7036 I had really considered it but decided against it because I thought it was a little too much for my budget. I would have loved to seen the behind-the-scenes. I did wander the ship often and it's beautiful.
@@cmmandelbaum7036 Ya I think it was only like $50. They hadn't filled all the slots for the cruise so I think we got a bit of a discount. Either way it's not too expensive and definitely worth it if you haven't done it before
What kind of "sports bar" doesn't have TVs to watch sports? My NY Rangers are in the conference finals finally and my cruise is coming up next week. Really disappointed.

Good video. I was on Meragivlia last week, my 3rd sailing on her. I think she's just perfect.

I like the 2 story Galleria and the ship layout in general. Best wifi at sea. Great value.

Just wanted to add that MSC has Italian roots but it’s not Italian company. It’s actually SWISS company.
Good point! A lot of the decor has an Italian flair to it, I find it easier to chalk it up as Italian
