    Wau, this is exactly my life. 30 years of migraine gone in a month. It went down in every exact little detail as it did in your guest. I got my life back and I thank you Dan and this community for the encouragement I got to go through it the right way!🙏

       My headaches were around the clock for a while but are gone. The fearful feeling of pressuring myself or others can bring me back to a headache.
      I love the above 6 take care; below 6 teach a different story. Either way knowing I am not broken is such a relief. Responding without fear or anger. This will not last forever.

      This makes me so hopeful because I have 24/7 headaches too and recently my anxiety has been so bad because of it that I’m having a hard time doing this work. But things like this really do give me hope.

    The key thing she said was if the brain can create this then it can uncreate it, or words to that effect

    • @kateking3953
      @kateking3953 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Quite. Sounds weird, but I'm learning Welsh (I live in the UK). I say to myself that if my brain can learn a language that bears no relation at all to the one I speak, and form words and thoughts and sentences in it, and recognise it when I hear it, then it can certainly unlearn things I've taught myself like hypervigilance and anxiety that don't serve me.

    So glad to see a migraine success story! Thanks, Amy, for sharing your story. I have suffered from migraine for 30 years, going through various periods of chronic flareups. During this bout I found Dan’s site and it has helped very much to understand it is just a flare and will end at some point and how important it is not to let fear be in control.

    About 15 years ago, I got cured of weekly migraines, which lasted about a year. The meds prescribed never worked. I didn’t know of TMS then, but I always felt we have power over our health. As implausible as it sounded at the time, I made the decision not to be a migraine sufferer. I decided not to think of myself as one. I didn’t tell anyone this; it sounded woo-woo.
    Little by little, migraines started happening less often and being less severe. After a year, I didn’t have them. I get little headaches once in a while, but they go away when I take a nap in a dark room.

      This is proof that if you don't feed symptoms with fear, the brain perceives less danger and the symptoms will fade. Bravo.

    I’ve had a 24/7 headache for 3 years. Very different to migraines. However, let’s hope it can still be TMS.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Different, but absolutely from the same cause. A brain perceiving danger. You are in the right place. Apply the concepts. Believe. Implement. Calm. Safety. DansfastStart.com for how to do this stuff.

    Will this work for dizziness PPPD. Dizziness has made me so anxious and medical intervention (NHS) has made it worse. I have now developed health anxiety too.

    • @angelamartin7885
      @angelamartin7885 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Your fear of the dizziness is keeping it going. The back part of your brain works differently from the front part. They do not talk to each other. The back part of the brain watches and listens to your reactions. It's also in charge of emotions.

      I am a recovered migraine sufferer, and I love this video bc yes I sometimes still get some migraines. It's all about fear. Last week I had a dizzy spell which I hadn't had in many years. I remember learning that dizzy can be a migraine symptom. The dizzy felt like seasickness for days. But suddenly I caught on..... It was a lightbulb moment. OH I KNOW WHAT THIS IS! It's just TMS....... And then it was, oh no, I'm not doing this. I'm not going to start ruminating and worrying. But still I felt that dreaded feeling, and I just allowed it, knowing it's a human thing and it's temporary. Today I went to my dance class feeling fantastic. Walked in the door and within one minute felt dizzy. AH HERE IT IS!! Hahaha it's my mind. I still felt dizzy and it was annoying. I just coached myself through that dance class. OK, maybe I'll be dizzy, maybe it will ramp up, maybe it won't. I'm just not going to care.

    I wonder if EMDR therapy may be able to help with desensitizing the memory of pain. As in, using visualization to intentionally bring up the memory of pain while doing rapid eye movement therapy to desensitize that memory. I am mostly out of back pain at this point, but when I do have flare-ups, I am starting to see that my brain is remembering my past pain and that it what creates the fear. Even though I intellectually know it is simply neurological pain, the memory of pain is still charged, and thus, still creates symptoms. There's good virtual EMDR resources online that I've had success in healing other forms of PTSD. I'm gonna try it out with my back pain memories and and I"ll report back.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't know too much about EMDR other than some preliminary reading on it. However, I don't hear a lot of people using it for pain, but if you experiment with it, I'd love to hear of your results.
