I like that they stripped down this movie to the basic, bare minimum. This sort of direction brought a sense of realism to it. Down to the crunch of the grass, to the birds chirping in close view. This is a breath of fresh air. Now with the success of this movie they can now build around it from here. Keep it simple but add a little bit here, and there. People that say that this movie is “boring” lack patience and understanding of the build to reward system art. This film is a slasher indeed but didn’t come off like your average slasher movie. It seemed to be more grounded and methodical. This is more of an evolved horror Slasher and I like it. Great movie!
I like your discussion about the common criticism of slashers just "killing time before they get to the set pieces of murders." The kills were bold and innovative, but the pacing (literally and figuratively!) was profound. The atmosphere it created put the film over the top along a different axis, one that contributed greatly towards the ominous suspense. A less confident filmmaker would have caved in to the (inevitable) demands to "pick up the pace," but you knew what you were after, you stuck to your guns, and you succeeded wildly. I savoured the time between kills as much as I did the kills themselves. And the kill-ees weren't just cardboard cutouts reading lines off cue cards while being geberally horny and waiting to die. These were quite fleshed out characters with decent backstories. I think it's obvious that the actors respected the script. You've created a noteworthy, memorable contribution to the genre. No mean feat. I'd pay to have the privilege of contributing to the story line of a prequel or a sequel!
I loved it!!! Ty! People complain about certain aspects of slashers and this man gives us an answer to those objections and for a lot of fans it's not good enough either! Id like to know if another movie or two is coming to help complete, tie up this whole "story" or even add more to it? ❤

I’ve finally nailed it. It’s as if Alan Clarke directed a horror film.
This interview should've been conducted while walking through the woods.
Cool movie, I loved it
Why is T Malick mentioned in this interview? They’re joking right?😂
This movie was badly written boring trash with one decent kill and the absolute worst nothing ending ive ever seen. Total garbage
You must be fun to watch movies with lmaoo, it was meant to experiment, and the world is a terrible critic
