@McoParkour It's not about labelling one-self, it's about learning one-self. It's about learning our strengths and weaknesses and how to live and work with them, it's about being aware of who we are. Social skills aren't the most important thing in our lives, they might be useful but just because you are a social butterfly and have a lot of friends doesn't mean that others want the same thing. We are all different, it's not about labelling, but embracing.

Exactly my profile also. It's torture living in a world that aggressively misunderstands me, while being ultra hard on myself, while knowing the ideal my life could be if I was 'just able to get things right', all the while screaming inside "Just understand me, please!" Scarily accurate, although I think that is down to the very well-defined questions rather than some form of abstract intuition in the commentary.

    My MBTI is *INTJ*
I am guilty of forgetting and I start being insecure of wasting my energy and time.
I always have to step back so I can get myself together again.
I spend most of my times thinking what could be done in a certain situation like
if I become insecure out of nowhere I need to remember being a stoic.
as an INTJ in judging part, i always set a mission to prepare..
the weak side of that for me is that i have to plan is my reaction if things do not go well as planned.
If I didn't come up with a plan B my body would naturally get stressed and start to blame myself for not being prepared
as I start to think negative I remember stoicism where there are things that cannot be controlled
so my assertiveness kicks in and I become calm and know what to do next time learning from what I could've done better than
intoxicating and beating myself up for being an ignorant and careless.
This month I started pushing myself to the limit. It drained me out in the physical and psychologically then noticed some changes.
I am more confident, no prolonged anxiety, I become aware of my thoughts and my health.
I also started meditating inspired from the 7 chakras. I don't believe in supernatural things but I found and enjoy the idea of peace in the process.

My hobby aren’t any that can be monetized as they include reading, gaming and play soccer. Soccer isn’t something u can make money off unless u go pro. I could start a blog for books or whatever but that isn’t monetizing in all honesty. And I could start streaming games but that takes time I don’t have right now. What characteristics skills and trait u think I should have?

To be honest, I've cried more times in the past few months that I have my entire life. I knew about a month ago something within started changing for the better and I am glad. Hey Andrew. Thanks for the beautiful and useful content you give us.
What I just realized, although having been on an extensive journey of "self-improvement" now (2 years), I have always valued other things more. I'd have those short-term motivation boosts and that's about it. Training: I quit after 3 of the best months I could've had for long. Morning routine: Stopped doing that after a month. Working: Took me two weeks to abandon this pursuit. I don't think I have to talk about pursuing hobbies, even though I play music (For the work I put into it I am actually obnoxiously good!). What do I do? I still binge watch TH-cam, play video games and loose myself in fantasies of success. In short: Just the thing you explained. I finally realized how much I need to restructure my life, if I want to be the person on the inside I (strangely) am on the outside (which absolutely plagued me since I started my journey).
Again Andrew, I am grateful for your help. And I think I speak for many others, too.

I didnt felt like this before because I was with the wrong ppl I think. I admit I was just following (not beeing the "head" of the group, which is not always bad) although inside of me I felt that I was not within the type of ppl I like (not all of them of course, because I would ve left the group along time ago in this case). but now I think I will "live" with a the purpose of developping the qualities I have (sounds a bit egoistic, sorry for that)

This test is amazing, if it wasn’t for it i might have been still searching for the life that suits me, of course I’ll never stop searching but this test was my first baby step to know what I really want and be sure about it.

I'm INTP-T a Logician. It's pretty accurate (though i do remember taking the test few years before but the results weren't the same). I agree all they said about my personality is true but somehow I don't want to be defined by 'a Logician'. I suppose it's because they lack emotional knowledge and social skills (which is totally true about me) and that make me sad. I live in a competitive environment where extroverts makes the most of it. I tried to socialize and keep the conversations going but never do I enjoy any topics they like and I always has to change the subject because everyone seem annoyed by my interests. So often i just say 'ah... Nevermind'. I love this channel so much because it adresse interesting topics in the same way of my thinking. Discovering this channel is the best thing that ever happened to me because I get to see someone like me. Yet I feel sad because people like me are a minority and probably i won't get the social life i want (friends, partners... Ect).

Look up cs Joseph and watch some of his videos. He talks about how the tests are inaccurate and how typing by letter usually isn't accurate. You can find out more about your nature and learn how to improve yourself based on that.

A note about the Briggs test: It's been known to show inaccurate results that vary too much with current mood. Given, it works on sound principles developed by Carl Jung, but knowing oneself can be rather tricky in this way, since your brain will sometimes see itself through its demon functions to save face. (Ever heard tell of the Dunning-Kruger effect?)
Before taking this test, people, acknowledge that you have certain natural tendencies and aversions in your behavior that are not as "optional" as mood is, but are still part of you whether or not you like it or think it's really you, and you need to consider this when answering the questions. Then, when you have your result, see the YT channel DaveSuperPowers to get a more in-depth understanding of these personality functions and phenomena such Peacocking, Saviors, Demons, Animals, Jumpers, and things lile that. I've learned a lot more about self improvement in that channel than so many others. Check it out.
Oh, by the way, INTJ. I feel weird (perhaps doubtful) about my assigned type since, you know, everyone on the internet is an INTJ or wants to be one, even though they're only supposed to be one in fifty people. If anyone here is INxJ, work on bolstering your cruddy Extraverted Sensing. Easiest way to do this is through Introverted Sensing, or by organizing your environment under controlled purpose so you won't have to deal with it later.
Also: When it comes to MBTI functions, *EVERYONE CAN DO ANYTHING.*

@@africaart Introversion to extroversion is a continuum. Often it can be situational. When I was young I was incredibly shy so described myself as introvert. 35 yrs later, my friends and colleagues can't believe I was shy. It is true I worked on myself and I suspect I always loved people and now I love taking centre stage and showing off (if I know the people). If I don't know them, it takes battling the anxiety but I have a love/hate relationship with public speaking. All I wanted to say is, don't categorise yourself. Remember "It's not about finding yourself it's about creating yourself"

    • @AlastorTheNPDemon
      @AlastorTheNPDemon 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@africaart Hard to say. These functions and letters are not what they seem, and there can be highly energetic and expressive INTP types, and rather private and cautious ENFJ types for example. These designations are counterintuitive - the outer two letters do not indicate functions, only the middle two do. What the outer two letters indicate is temperament, so ESTJ should really be "EJ-ST", with Extraverted Judger being the temperament and Sensing-Thinking being the type's day-to-day logic.
Let's take our ESTJ "Sarge" archetype for a spin here. His function stack would start out with Extraverted Thinking (pragmatism, considering others' reasons, helping folks in practical ways), then the next step down we alternate to Introverted Sensing (Memory, preservation, IRL facts). The last two are demon functions, with the less-developed Extraverted Intuition (Creativity, brainstorming, etc.) and the least developed Introverted Feeling (Personal likes, inner motivation, being in touch with inner feelings) at the bottom giving him the most grief.
Now, even though Sarge here starts off non-negotiably with an extraverted function, he still makes regular use of his introverted function, and is completely content tending to his lawn with nobody there to pester him. Once again, he still has these poorly developed internal feelings that sort of come up from nowhere and make life harder than it needs to be, so there's a lot more going on in Sarge's head then we tend to think. If he's sick enough of having to deal with himself then he'll make every effort at self improvement. Problem is, he'll often do it via his first function, which throws the two even further out of balance. Or, he'll go directly for the throat and sate his Fi desires on the spot, which turns him into a miserable, selfish bastard because he isn't using his God-given first function. It's tricky, but everyone can stand to develop their last function.

I got the exact same code, INFP-T, only this time there's a few % difference in a few of the categories (Mind, Energy, Nature etc). So for me it seems to hold water, whether I feel down or not.

I would say 90% of your life is completely out of your control, accept that and concentrate on the 10% you can control. There's so much decided for you, from who your parents are and what education you receive to which country and time your born into, even what personality traits you have, so when looking around at your bank balance and the room your in be aware that most of that may have been out of your control, but decide now, what are you going to do with it to step in the right direction( if you have been gifted with the ability to make that decision).
Edit: I'm INTP-A/INTP-T also, some of this seems amazingly accurate, must read a few of the other personality types to see if they're are amazingly un-accurate. If you read this Andrew please apply your INTP mind to my comment above in case there is a kink in your thinking.
For instance imagine you were born 300 years ago as a black man sold into slavery, 99% of your life would be 100% nothing to do with your thoughts or intentions.
edit 2: Well just reached the end of the video and F'*k! I've got some serious work to do, my self-awareness is abysmal! if just going by the things I spend my money on is any clue I got serious priority issues, the ideas in this video could take weeks, maybe months to get the hang of really.

3 years ago, my back then relatively new girlfriend asked me if admitting that I journal was embarrassing for me. "Because there certainly are a lot of people thinking it's awkward" she said.
Only knowing each other for a few months, I cared a lot more about her opinion than I should back then and actually felt kinda strange. My surroundings already were so into those topics that i would rather expect people to NOT see the benefit in it strange.
So I answered: why should i? This is one of the, if not, THE strongest tool in the world. You can become whoever you want through that and form your life in any way. This has more power than governments and weapons if you use it correctly. Stating it directly to (especially) new people I meet is a very fast way to help distinguish the people I actually want to have in my life from those I don't want. People who don't know it's value are just not the right people for me. I don't want to engage in coolness. I want to engage in growth, I said.
Back then and for a long time after I thought, I might have just exaggerated. Maybe it's not because of journaling (equaling self-awareness for me) but maybe I am just different. Maybe I just see my actions and predict what results it will give me. Maybe only I can see my present outcome and be the only guy not blaming it, because i see it as a clear result of my actions 12 months ago, while simultaneously already planting 12months worth of new seeds into it until now, seeing how it will develop in the future while they are looking at the present. Maybe other people just can't separate the current outcome from a clear past input into the console, thinking their way back to the trigger, identifying it, defining better alternatives, changing the current inputs to the alternatives and letting the game flow for a while to reap new results and learn again.
I wasn't sure if it was because of journaling.
You now described the same thing, just with different words.
Still not that much data now :D but we're getting closer.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I'm grateful for them.
