While I think it's laudable to reach the goal of creating life-like human expressions with robotics, I believe that it's actually a more natural experience to have a screen in place of a real face and then project "a digital face" onto it. While these developments with organic materials to depict a more human face on a robot will only get better and better with time, maintenance on all those moving facial parts will be a nightmare. I believe that humans accept robots for what they are, so it wouldn't bother people if they interacted with a robot that had a static face similar to lets' say C3PO's.
Great thoughts. Balancing lifelike faces with practicality is crucial in robotics. Your idea of digital faces on screens is intriguing. Thanks for sharing your view!

Sophia looks scary. The idea was scary as if the wickedness would come out through the expression.
Here is my criticism of Sophia: redo her brows. They look so blocky 😂 the inner parts of brows are naturally lighter than the outer parts. Hers are very dark….. that is the only thing I have the authority to talk about 😂 I am one of those people that notice bad brows immediately and cannot avert my attention from them when looking at a face with them. Even if I’m not staring, that’s what I’m thinking about lol

Loved them both, they are two individuals and I respect them. Humans needs to learn to live with humanoid -human robots.. They will be friends but also easily unfriended if they got abused.
Are you psychic or did you just make that up ...everything has two sides when I worked in finance beepers came out immediately I thought more work easier access to me I was right ..when cameras were added to cellphones immediately I thought underaged kids will be sexting nude photos of themselves....everything has a positive and negative ..our job is not to pretend everything will be wonderful it's to learn how to manipulate it to better suite our needs

Sophia's inventors are trying to make it look human which is what I don't like but on the other hand Ameca is more like a robot .

I’m sorry, but for me Sophia looks and animates less like a human and comes across as very creepy, like an alien wearing a rubber human mask pretending to be a human. Ameca seems more fluid and natural. She is always moving and interacting where Sophia looks like she might try eat you to absorb your human essence. 😱
Sophia had plastic surgery her face became more v shape and lifted .. sad... I hope she embraced graceful aging 😊

I have already asked TONS of people what they think the reason or the cause may be, but 90% of the people that I asked CANNOT give me a straight honest answer.
