Here's a little survey: I'm a huge fan of platformers and kinda want to start a channel to specifically talk about the genre in modern day. I'm aware that platformers nowadays are usually indie or budget titles and rarely catch too much attention. So I want to know how many of you guys are interested in seeing such a video series. Thanks for all of you's encouragement! I wants to do stuff in a review format. In each episode I'll review a platformer revolving a subject and under the assumption that my viewers all have some experiences with the genre. Currently, I feel many developers don't really understand what does Metroidvania means and make games that only scratch the surfaces of what made early 2D Metroid games and Castlevania games since Symphony great. I think it's a decent starting point to kick off some videos. What do you think?
***** You know what? I haven't played any Rayman yet. Such a shame! I just finished Axiom Verge though. That game is the perfection of Metroidvania formula in my opinion.
Love this game. I couldn't even watch the rest of the video to not spoil anything. Great puzzles, great presentation, and it also reminds me of little big Planet.
I played the free early access trial which had the first 2 levels with ea access and recently unravel was added to the vault so I decided I would play more because I enjoyed the trial. This game is amazing. Yarny shows real depth with his emotion and the visuals are beautiful. The puzzles and platforming aren't impossible but get harder over time. The only issue I have with this is that most of the small puzzles are extremely repetitive. They usually need you to move an object to help you climb higher or attach yarn to 2 knots to create a trampoline to let Yarny jump over an obstacle. The harder puzzles that require oh to think are much better but there aren't enough and instead they are replaced with the same puzzles I just mentioned. Also some puzzles require you to fail to understand the puzzle and others must be done in one attempt such as jumping from a falling ice tower to the next falling ice tower and then to the next. I would say this deserves a 8/10 just because of repetitive

I honestly got this game because I knew the developers that made it put their whole heart into. It honestly made playing the game feel so much better because you could see their love for their character and the world they created for him. Unravel is a game that conveys the passage of life. People and moments we love will come and go during our lifetime but that doesn't mean we can't still enjoy it by being thankful for the small things.
Wow, a good, honest IGN review that focuses on some of the greatness of the game and doesn't allow a few small hinderings to destroy the overall score. Good job!
My cousin came a few days ago but I didn't have any games that he enjoyed and the ones he wanted to play were to mature for him. So we went to the store and found this. I am so glad we bought it now. And it's nice and cheap for such an amazing game. But how did IGN only give it 8.3? It should've got 8.8 - 9.0!

It is odd how he said that they had bad taste, though, considering neither of them said that the music in question was "bad", but that it was out of place, which I agree with.
I’m a 12 year old right now. I don’t like shooters. This is my favourite game. When i tell my friends this is my favourite game. Their common reaction is: “what the heck? This looks awful!”. And that makes me pretty sad! I hope i’m not the only 12 year old like this!
The graphics are great the story is touching, the problem with a lot of comments i read is that the game is frustrating. Its not a mediocre game far from it , but you will get stuck you will have to redo a lot of levels and the last level will either make you quit the game or have patience and continue, for now i decided to stop playing. Good thing it was only 20$ on the PS4
The game looks stunning , some of the concepts were probably copied from the kirby yarn games and Yoshy's wooly world . Despite that I think they are giving Nintendo a real run for their money comparing this to their wool/yarn/clay animation titles .

Was on the fence waiting for IGN to post review, im sold now. Looks like a great weekend run to relax to and get away from FPS for a min. Def wanna support Coldwood Interactive although EA is the Devil.
I'm playing it on ea access, I really like it. it's something different from fps. beautiful graphics, great sound track. for £13 you can't complain. I've played worse games treble the price.

Way to spoil the fantastic swedish folk music by adding some generic simple jazz beat over the whole thing.

I finally passed this game. Took me years. It was difficult. But satisfying. Gets easy towards the end but brutal in the middle.

Unravel is a great game, very challenging and hands down one of the best looking platforms for the new console.

Well I mean there is Halo (before 5), Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Fallout series, The Witcher, The Arkham series, etc... so hope isn't really lost yet!
