There is a lady here in town that works at our local Big Lots, she has a mint condition 1985 200SX in red. Its a beautiful car, it has the power sunroof, leather seats, talking computer and digital dash and its an automatic. She is an older lady and she only drives the car in the summer, it only has 80,000 original miles. The car is soo clean it looks brand new, hard to believe for 30 years old, she gets alot of compliments, that style of 200SX is very rare.
80's styling is practically an oxymoron. Everything was a damn square, cars were styled about as much as your average cardboard box..... These days it's much better. Some smooth and curvy cars, some sharp and edgy cars, and some box cars (Usually SUV's)
Today's cars look like they got into a fight with each other coming off the production line; they have ugly bulges and broken lines that look like mistakes from the designers. Designs of the 80s and early 90s had much cleaner lines whether they were on a wedge-shaped supercar or a plain old boxy sedan. Monstrosities like the Fiat Multipla and Pig-Ugly Zonda didn't exist in the 80s and 90s.
Makes me feel nostalgic for my first car a 1986 Nissan 200 SX XE dark blue with manual 5-speed and the digital speedometer and pop up moonroof. I bought it in 96 for $1500.00 with 138,000 miles and drove it for 6 or 7 years. Wish I would have kept it.
Funny I actually commented on this video 4 years ago. Just bought a 1984 200SX hatchback. Automatic with the CA20E engine. I already love it. Absolutely amazing interior. Blue everything, blue seats with golden orange stripes. Even the automatic shifter is fun. Wish it was in better condition, but the solid rear axle makes it a phenomenal drift candidate. We already had some fun with it in a parking lot. Funny too that they consider the hood bump and voice warnings garish back then. Now they are rad as hell!
These reviewers were not kids in the 80's. As a teenager, just about driving age, I LOVED flashy hood scoop, talking warnings and digital gauges. I loved going with my parents to the Datsun dealer and seeing this car and others as well as grabbing countless brochures to drool over later.
Other period reviews of the Turbo model referred to it as a "hood blister". I had a blue '84. I had no illusions that it was anything other than a styling element. :-)
I know if nissan really gave a shit, they would bring back the silvia with a sr20det. Blow the frs/brz out of the water. But they wont, too busy selling minivans and stupid crossovers. Worst part is, i know board executives sat confused and wondered how can we compete?
I bought a 1996 200SX SE-R for my channel. It's not cool because it isn't actually based on the S chassis. I believe it's based on the Lucino, more similar to a Sentra. That said, it was one of the few cars to get an SR20 in the USA, and that's why I bought it.
My first NEW car back in 81 Hatchback and it talked - I found myself talking to the car her telling it to shut up I know I need gas! LOL! Got GREAT gas mileage, I went on a trip - around a 1000 miles, filled it up once at 10 bucks. That car would not die. I wrecked it 3 times and it just kept going. What I loved about was it was so far ahead of the American cars that my friends owned.I also won a lot of beer/bets (with my drunk friends) on the engine - I would tell people it had a V8 in that little car and they'd laugh and bet - I'd lift the hood and show them 8 spark plug wires and say see (it had 2 plugs for each cylinder) then shut the hood. LOL! Finally traded it on a used 84 200sx hatchback - black with the two colored seats (black and burnt orange) and the orange colored dash. It was a really sharp car - again ahead of its time and lasted forever. 200SX - GREAT CARS - What memories!
Thanks moter week. Putting out old nissan reviews like these takes me back in time before I was even born. Its honer to see old nissans back in their time.
I had one of these in '87, an '85 model. Same color, same features and everything. One of my favorite cars ever, though it wasn't the quietest-running or most refined ride, it really got looks and it was good and fast.
"The turbo has a tacked on non functioning Mustang like hood scoop.. Ughh.." Yeah because the Japanese RSX Turbo models came with an FJ20ET that actually required the hood scoop in order to clear the engine. Gotta love old reviews.

I had a '85 200SX with the 2 liter 4. That was a really great car, one of my favorites. Very comfortable, good looking, fast enough, handled great, slick 5speed, rear wheel drive, lots of space in the hatch when you need to haul stuff.
As a kid mechanic (graduated in 1995) with a dad that had an old house with a 5 car garage. I had a bunch of these 84-88 200sx... I loved them all, the gas 2.0 got excellent mpg, the turbo models were amazing, and I loved the digital instruments, rare but also available on the non turbo. Back in 1995-2000 in cash flush Microsoft, Boeing, north Seattle these were everywhere, plenty of turbos with 120-150k in nice condition for 500 bucks needing a clutch, or injectors (Nissan at this time till late 90s had really bad injectors) I wish I had a few of my old cars now. I had a few Mazda 626 LX and GT turbos(most reliable, had an 86 LX 5door with 450,000 miles drove like new. Saw many with 3-400k in junk yards), Maxima's, Cressidas, Turbo 22RET Trucks etc etc many with every option including digital dash. So many Japanese cars were around here.
I currently have this exact car (except mine has the black louvers on the back hatch). I have had this car for 15 years and other than the red paint being oxidized, it is in near mint condition. Still super fun to drive with the 5 speed and the turbo. I purchased it with 35K miles on it and it now has 115K miles. This is my 2nd 1984 200sx. I purchased the first one (the coupe) new in 1984 and kept it for 7 years.
I remember in kindergarten we all were made to watch a video about car safety. It had some cartoon cars that were animated and they talked. I told some of my friends that my mom had a car that talked (85 Maxima) and people looked at me like I was hallucinating. A friend who's mom owned a Chrysler New Yorker backed me up and said I wasn't the only one to drive in a talking car. I'm glad they added a switch for the voice chip. I knew some people who hated the voice chip so much, that they altered the wiring of their car to shut it up.
TALKS! You been watching too much Knight Rider! kinda similar with me..my first experience with a "talking" car was my 5th grade teachers 85 Maxima Wagon. I used to daydream in class and try to talk to it through my $5 Casio while staring out of the window at her cool-ass talking Maxima.
Pretty impressive and I think this turbo 4 was a better choice than the V6 eventually offered, which made the car much heavier and had noticeably worse gas mileage.
It's too bad the North American markets didn't get a 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve version of the CA18ET engine (the JDM S12 Silvia had a CA18DET engine). That would have been a better engine for the 200SX Turbo.
@@johneddy908 yea god that would have been sexy. ive been looking for one of these beacase i love the body, but if i got one i would think about k swapping it or mabye even putting a 4age in it
Had one of those in the late 80ies. Turbo in dark blue. Loved the hood scoop and the digital instruments made you feel like Captain Kirk. Especially after smoking something.
Owned one of these back in the 90's, the 200sx turbo, 5 speed, it was a fun little car untill the electronic distributor went out, damb close to $400 and that was back in the 90's! Fixed it and sold it.
My friend had one back in the day and I always wanted one because of it. It had style, plenty of room and was pretty speedy for that small motor. I had a 92 240SX years later and loved it but still would love to have one of these. It still looks great!!
I loved these cars too back then. Back in the spring of 84, not too long after the then new 200 SX and SX Turbo models debuted, I went and test drove a Turbo model with the 5-speed manual, and coming from a 1979 Ford Mustang turbo Indy Pace Car, it was like stepping into a BMW, the quality of The 200 SX was just awesome: the fit and finish and no squeaks or rattles whatsoever, just an a wonderful and smooth driving car that was very comfortable and sporty at the same time... I fell in love with Nissan cars that night and even though I wanted to buy one, I was not able too cos of needing a co-signer, since I had no credit yet, just being 18 years old... :(
I had this exact car, except mine was gold. Those digi gauges were SO damn quirky, took a little bit to get used to reading it quickly. I miss it so damn much, it's a truly underappreciated platform.
i finally bought a 1984 nissan 200sx turbo recently. dreams come true people, you just gotta do that shit dont even think about it. dream car, dream job, doesnt matter.
I've always liked the way these looked better than the S13/S14's. Unfortunately by the time i was old enough to drive, the northeast tin worm had done most of them in....and the nice ones that were left were still too new (and expensive) for me
I had an 87 hatch that I swapped a KA24DE into (from a 95 240SX) that car with a 300ZX (R31) rear suspension/diff saw 145 mph in Utah on a cross-country trip to Florida from Washington. (Had a C6 Z06 Corvette pace me as the speedometer does not go nearly that high. LOL!
I had one in college. sold it and have been chasing the buyback dream ever since. Loved the removable sunroof! it has a case that it slipped into. mine was white which made the black accents stand out. My issue is the turbo was shot and 700 to a poor college student was out of the question. Sellers regret now 20 years later
I dont remember these. The front end is awesome. I love the hood scoop and those slit front bumper lights. The later Diamond star coupes used the same style front around 1989.
In 2004 I bought a 1984 200SX turbo but it was silver. It only had around 80k miles on. It didn’t run, because the new turbo had not been bolted back on. I paid $500 cash for that thing and turned around in 3 years and sold it for 3k. Super fun little car, I wish I had this back in the 80’s when I was a teenager. 👍
About 30 years I saw one of these buzz past by me and give some muscle car big hood scoop monte carlo type all it wanted on the highway. The monte couldn’t stay with him. It was a crazy race I still remember to this day.
Hell yah! I would love to see another fun sporty coupe from Nissan again! The Z is a great car as I own one but what about something a bit cheaper for the younger people to go after???
nissan don't really offer anything in the sporty/sports car class. Are they thick?not all of us want a Juke!!!!and are the bunch who had a PULSAR SSS OR 200SX or a friend who had one.I know I did.what are we suppose to do now, head over to say mazda or subaru or toyota to get what we want now.
I can't watch these late at night with that damn v8 roar at the end of every one. If I have speakers on it scares the shit out of me. If I have headphones on it's worse. lol
The first car I ever bought with money I saved was a 1984 Nissan 200sx. It was 1200 bucks. Digital display that worked sometimes.. rwd 5 spd. The paint was faded but overall in decent condition. Cool car in 2000 for a 17 yr old. In ended up blowing a head gasket then moving off to college.
I got my license in 1982. My dad helped me get a 79' Trans Am (400 4 speed) I easily blew off all these cars. Kept that Trans Am all these years and sold it a couple years ago for $25000.
2:00 - "hey boss we're running out of space on the digital tachometer scale and we're just at 6k RPM" Boss: "just stick 7 and 8 right near it, they'll figure out if it works if they dare to get there".
I had an 86 200SX back in the 90's. Had a ton of highway miles, so I got it dirt cheap. One of the best cars I ever owned. Sadly, a lady in an old El Camino pulled out in front of me on the highway, and I couldn't stop in time. Totalled my car, barely left a dent in her front fender. LOL
nice car....nissan silva s12 or 200SX..... my parent used to have the liftback NA version in Australia.....so nice and very stylish back then.....I miss the car so much...
I had one that would reach 60 in the 7 second range at about 10 lbs of boost. That was double the stock boost. I eventually opened holes on the Pistons but it was fun. Thankfully it had an extended warranty.
I had just graduated high school(1983) when this version of the 200SX was introduced(I believe in Europe and Asia it was called 180SX) and I remember Car and Driver mentioning how odd the "floating" turbo decal attached to the faux inlet duct on the hood scoop looked. Was never a fan of this version(looked like a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica in the nose to me). The original 200SX very quirky looking, the 2nd gen and 4th gen were sweet looking IMO. I remember these Turbo versions being a quite bit faster than shown here on MW. High 7s/ low 8s to 60mph were more the norm from other publications. Seemed like, as others have stated, this version of the 200SX was a favorite of the "Bettys" of the 1980s(I knew a few myself).
i had a black/ grey interior 86 200 sx turbo, it was fast, for the times, eas to get over 80 mph, i loved that car, but had turbo problems, the warranty covered the first time, after a few years oil leaks , wire problems, i was in the dealer shop, and a lady comes to me that was our car before we had a baby, i said really? didnt you take care of it? the only Jappanes car to ever give me problems, the turbo was going out again i could tell, sold it immediately , i loved that road trip, mountain driving beautiful pain in the ass car :P memories
If you bought this you would be sad when the MR2 came out the next year. A few less HP from an NA engine, 500 lbs. lighter, and even better looking. XD I just picked up a 1985 MR2 I'll have videos about soon. This was probably much cheaper when it came out though.
Bought a grey one from a guy who didn't speak English for $900 in Houston. Drove it home and parked it. The next day we named it the mosquito sprayer. So much smoke.... Ended up selling it for $90 a couple of months later.
I owned a non-turbo model. It was a great car to drive and it looked real good. It needed more horsepower though, which is why they added a turbo model. I’ll bet it could have used one of todays 1.5L or 2.0L turbo engines. Now that would have been a fun car.
Long ago I owned a 84 200sx back in 05. It was a beautiful car. It was the 2lt non turbo one. I got it for free coz it didn't run...... I couldn't get it to run either and it was scrapped.
I had an 84 non turbo notch back non turbo 200 sx loaded with manual tranny, digital dash and voice.. I loved that car to death. Prior to that I had an 80 and 82.. and later on I had a 93 240 .. they were great cars at the time. Too bad Nissan is sub par these days.. I drive BMW’s now and I’ve been happy with them.
stealthmeister x How did it only make 20hp out 5.5psi tho?!? My MR2T and my GT4, both with the 3S-GTE engine, make ~300whp on 15-18psi. This 200SX wouldn’t even crack 200bhp with the same boost at the same 2.0l displacement. That’s pretty pathetic.
oldtwins Yes they did, they had it in the US/Canadian market for the 84 to 86 models years before the introduced the V6 in the refreshed 200SX. This test was of US/Canadian market 200SX Turbo
I owned one here in Florida I would race to Daytona to Orlando and back it would top out at 156mph I had the red top CADET 1.8 L that motor put out 180hp versus the black top one that had 127hp anyways had it for 7yrs had a lot of fun wonderful handling great stuff
So adding a water cooled turbo and an intercooler gained only 18 HP? Wow, but it still gets great 38 mpg. I would buy this if there we're any still around today. I think their styling has potential to some customization.
Seems like the power output was underrated. It was a heck of a lot faster than the NA I4 model, which did 0-60 in the 12 second range. The later introduced 3.0 V6 had 160hp and although it increased the car's weight by several hundred pounds, that car still had a superior power to weight advantage yet wasn't any faster than the turbo edition. I'd say this engine was pushing more like 140hp to the flywheel and suspect a ton more of torque.
It was not intercooled. See the silver tube going over the top of the engine? It runs from the turbo outlet straight to the throttle body. These cars are surprisingly sleek, that's why they get amazing mileage and have stupid high top speeds for their hp output. Nissan says a base model hatchback with no body kit has a cd of .33. I've read several places that the SE body kit reduces that to .31 but haven't found it anywhere official. I daily drive an '87 200SX SE-V6.
Love this car there was actually one forsale last year near my area and it was the same exact thing in the video even down to the color the only thing that stoped me from buying this bueity was the asking price which was really up thier.
1:50..........Talk to me, baby.........TALK TO ME!!!!!!!!! Tell me that my key is in the ignition or that my lights are on.........just one more time........PLEASE!!!
One of my friends in highschool had a base model 200sx that his dad had given him, he proceeded to beat the ballbag outta it sadly and ended up blowing the trans iirc. Sad, because even the base models arent easy to find...
In my experience, they could freeze but there was a switch to keep them up if you were expecting that kind of weather. The never failed because of wear and tear in 12 years of ownership.
"These wild fabrics would look right at home as optical illusions in a rock video." LOL reminds me of how cutting-edge we thought we were in the 80s and just how corny it all was in retrospect.
In 1984 most of Nissan's lineup was still RWD. They were in the process of switching over to FWD platforms....but in 1984 you had a choice of only TWO FWD platforms (and 3 models) in the US. Sentra, its platform mate Pulsar, and Stanza.
They should have made a special version with the VG30DET. This was a very nice driving car. Clutch shifted perfect, very refined, i drove the V6 for about 9 mos.
Did you guys ever review the '95 200sx S-ER? (the one with the limited slip front diff) My ex g/f had one and that was a sweet little FWD car. Non turbo, but handled great and wasn't too slow either cause it was so light. -edit- Hers had color changing purple/blue paint too!
Unfortunately by the time i was old enough to drive, the northeast tin worm had done most of them in....and the nice ones that were left were still too new (and expensive) for me
Just found one in Vermont, well just over the border in NY, but last sold in NY. Surprisingly still has most of its metal! Too rad.
My dad had one and it was so fast and fun!! I wish NISSAN still made cars like this!!
this, the impulse, and the ae86 all looked very similar at the time
I had an 87 hatch that I swapped a KA24DE into (from a 95 240SX) that car with a 300ZX (R31) rear suspension/diff saw 145 mph in Utah on a cross-country trip to Florida from Washington.
It was a crazy race I still remember to this day.
that thing's amazing and beautiful, probably didn't see many of these on the road, I can't remember ever seeing one quite like this one.
Hell yah! I would love to see another fun sporty coupe from Nissan again! The Z is a great car as I own one but what about something a bit cheaper for the younger people to go after???
The Nissan 300zx's from the 90's/Datsun 280z's from the 80's is your answer :b
nissan don't really offer anything in the sporty/sports car class. Are they thick?not all of us want a Juke!!!!and are the bunch who had a PULSAR SSS OR 200SX or a friend who had one.I know I did.what are we suppose to do now, head over to say mazda or subaru or toyota to get what we want now.
Man, a great looking car with a turbo, 0-60 in 8.7 seconds and 36mpg? Must have been an awesome daily!
I can't watch these late at night with that damn v8 roar at the end of every one. If I have speakers on it scares the shit out of me. If I have headphones on it's worse. lol
My 86 200SX Coupe has the exact same dash layout & voice box with independent rear suspension. It also has 4 wheel disc brakes.
My dad helped me get a 79' Trans Am (400 4 speed)
I easily blew off all these cars.
Kept that Trans Am all these years and sold it a couple years ago for $25000.
Curious about mpg figures against. 400 is quite a bit bigger than 109 you know? So i would bloody hope so.... but seriously. What was the mpg?
@@orderofmagnitude-TPATP4 smiles per mile

2:00 - "hey boss we're running out of space on the digital tachometer scale and we're just at 6k RPM"
Boss: "just stick 7 and 8 right near it, they'll figure out if it works if they dare to get there".
I did a VH45DE swap in a 85 200sx. I used a 300ZX manual trans with an adapter plate. It was fun.
LOL
Man, this car is like perfect.
😞 i really miss that car...this vid is awesome...ah the memories
nice car....nissan silva s12 or 200SX..... my parent used to have the liftback NA version in Australia.....so nice and very stylish back then.....I miss the car so much...
I had got one in 84 and it was in White. Great car! had to sell it because I was going overseas.
Don’t forget. They even made a V6 model afterwards. My ‘82 280ZX had the same “voicebox”.
I loved the hood scoop back in 84!
i had a black/ grey interior 86 200 sx turbo, it was fast, for the times, eas to get over 80 mph, i loved that car, but had turbo problems, the warranty covered the first time, after a few years oil leaks , wire problems, i was in the dealer shop, and a lady comes to me that was our car before we had a baby, i said really? didnt you take care of it? the only Jappanes car to ever give me problems, the turbo was going out again i could tell, sold it immediately , i loved that road trip, mountain driving beautiful pain in the ass car :P memories
Great looking cars. Almost bought one new but went for the LASER XT TURBO red instead
They ought to make quick little fuel efficient cars like this again. Not everyone wants a sedan.....
+Tony Helton Even the new non turbo Focus only gets like 36mpg highway lol
+Ian Thompson and my mom still has an old sedan that gets her 28 mpg lol
Justin Noker My moms 2000 Subaru Legacy wagon averages 26-28mpg! a wagon! with AWD!
Ian Thompson and my mom has a 2007 Chevy Malibu... FWD... Not even the V6... Just the I4...
a golf tdi is able to get 52-62mpg
If you bought this you would be sad when the MR2 came out the next year. A few less HP from an NA engine, 500 lbs. lighter, and even better looking. XD
I just picked up a 1985 MR2 I'll have videos about soon.
I received a notchback Hot Wheels 200SX from a Happy Meal back in the mid 80s.
Here's a MotorWeek Retro Review of the Nissan 200SX Turbo from 1984.
FYI: The 200SX Turbo did NOT have a factory intercooler. it only ran 5.5 pounds of boost.
stealthmeister x
How did it only make 20hp out 5.5psi tho?!? My MR2T and my GT4, both with the 3S-GTE engine, make ~300whp on 15-18psi. This 200SX wouldn’t even crack 200bhp with the same boost at the same 2.0l displacement. That’s pretty pathetic.
Neg Ative The Turbo Was A 1.8 Liter . N/A Was A 2Liter
This car later came with the 300ZX V6 engine.
I wanted one even as a 10 year old so bad.
Toyota didn't give us the Corolla with the fancy hood, but Nissan gave us this.
I did not realize it was that quick for its time, 8.7 sec to 60 from M.W. I can only imagine what M/T or C/D got out of the 200SX turbo!
Never had a 240sx turbo in the US market.
oldtwins
Yes they did, they had it in the US/Canadian market for the 84 to 86 models years before the introduced the V6 in the refreshed 200SX. This test was of US/Canadian market 200SX Turbo
loaferguy73 240sx did not exist until the 1989 model year in the US. You are confusing yourself with a totally different car model.
oldtwins
I said 200SX not 240 Turbo oldtwins.
loaferguy73 Too bad for you that TH-cam makes it clear for the public when you edit a post. You've been exposed as a liar. I pity your existence.
nissan really went down hill.
They really did. Glad to have a 200sx
The V6, later on, was decent too!
I had one until a few years ago, loved it.
I owned one here in Florida I would race to Daytona to Orlando and back it would top out at 156mph I had the red top CADET 1.8 L that motor put out 180hp versus the black top one that had 127hp anyways had it for 7yrs had a lot of fun wonderful handling great stuff
There are still a few really nice jdm cars here in daytona. I've got one of 2 aw11s left in volusia county.
Slapping a small top mount to utilize the hood scoop would be the first thing I'd do.
That's the biggest hood scoop I've ever seen!
So beautiful. I wonder what happened to most of them, did they just rust away?
So adding a water cooled turbo and an intercooler gained only 18 HP? Wow, but it still gets great 38 mpg. I would buy this if there we're any still around today. I think their styling has potential to some customization.
Seems like the power output was underrated. It was a heck of a lot faster than the NA I4 model, which did 0-60 in the 12 second range. The later introduced 3.0 V6 had 160hp and although it increased the car's weight by several hundred pounds, that car still had a superior power to weight advantage yet wasn't any faster than the turbo edition. I'd say this engine was pushing more like 140hp to the flywheel and suspect a ton more of torque.
it was a smaller engine running lower compression..
+Acuravigor47 Water cooled turbo doesn't mean more HP at all....
Ian Thompson Oh,,,, well,, then what does it mean then if is not providing better performance and reliability????
Rode in one back in ‘83 as a kid my brother was driving lol I thought it was a spaceship 🚀 it was awesome
I knew a girl who had one of these in high school. The car has aged much better.
Fuel level is low.
Cool! I'm interested in buying one!
Video is only a couple years old. Where can I contact the guys who made this video for their dealership?
“A rock video?” 1:30 John sounds older here than he does in 2020.
One of my friends in highschool had a base model 200sx that his dad had given him, he proceeded to beat the ballbag outta it sadly and ended up blowing the trans iirc. Sad, because even the base models arent easy to find...
How often would the flip up headlights seize .... like in an ice storm ... or just wear and tear as the car ages ???
In my experience, they could freeze but there was a switch to keep them up if you were expecting that kind of weather. The never failed because of wear and tear in 12 years of ownership.
Thats why they had a switch inside to keep the lights raised In case of bad weather
"These wild fabrics would look right at home as optical illusions in a rock video." LOL reminds me of how cutting-edge we thought we were in the 80s and just how corny it all was in retrospect.
They also made a coupe version in addition to the hatchback.
No doubt 80's cars were the best!
I wonder if the DOHC CA head would work easily on a CA20...
Not many people know that these cars are RWD. I know bc I owned one.
In 1984 most of Nissan's lineup was still RWD. They were in the process of switching over to FWD platforms....but in 1984 you had a choice of only TWO FWD platforms (and 3 models) in the US. Sentra, its platform mate Pulsar, and Stanza.
I had an ‘83 non-turbo
Imagine if they came with that racing helmet from factory! How cool would that be?!
I love this car NISSAN 200 sx
I had this car when I was 16 in black. I called it Kit because it can talk.
The Nissan 200 SX turbo. review, culminated with impressive performance test results.
I test drove one of these back when they came out and it was not at all fast and I tested the turbo model.
They should have made a special version with the VG30DET. This was a very nice driving car. Clutch shifted perfect, very refined, i drove the V6 for about 9 mos.
The VG30DET didnt exist yet when the S12's were new, even the 300zx had the VG30ET back then.
+twoeightythreez so the turbo motor in the 84-89 300zx turbo wasn't a vg30det? or was it a vg30 with turbo?
2810 lbs? that seems heavy. the 240sx base was 2700 years later.
Actual pic of that car-

Can't believe the old thing sitting in the back yard was this. Sadly it was given away. Hope it got restored.
Action Bastard 😠😠😠😠
