So great to see all these vids I get to catch up on! On an old Frasier episode his slithery agent convinced him of a dicey deal because the future is FIRMLY in front of him. Rozz says ISNT the future always in front of you? He says yes, but not FIRMLY! There’s a British GQ article explaining through Jean Claude Ellena why Hermes will never ever do an OUD fragrance. He’s very brutal of those design house who do. Well Hermes past is FIRMLY behind them now. They released an Oud. Ellena is gone. Despite an associated distaste for Oud how you described the Redieux was incredible. Gourmands bordering yet minimal? Ginger? I must smell this simply to smell this! Cant wait to see your top 10 and Vanilla getting WEIRD!!!!! DID YOU SAY AT THE END LENVOL IS COMING BACK?!?!?!??? I hope so. My favorite designer from 2010-2019 by not a close margin.
Nice to hear some more love for the Cartier Oud line. I bought the mini 15ml set of the Oud's and really are enjoying them. After Ambre, I think Radieux is my other stand out favorite. And XIII is special, but I wish the birch tar stayed a little longer in the development. I just brought out my vintage Santos and Must to wear, now that the weather is getting nicer. Thanks Ryan.
I just finished a mini of Colonia. It wasn't a love for me except the first few seconds, the citrus at the beginning was great, but gone quickly with my little dabbber, i need to try a spray 😊
Ah basenotes, I was wondering why the heck I was seeing Cartier everywhere lately. ‘Oreos in the dirt’ a fine fine mixture to send any perfumista’s heart singing.. as a person who loves a good clay note in a perfume, there was no sarcasm in that statement at all.
I know La Couche very well and wouldn't say that, side by side, they seem similar to me, but they do both have labdanum front-and-center so I can see why others might connect them.
Lamentably haven't tried any of those Cartiers. 🥲 But you certainly make them sound appealing! In fact, I'm having trouble a-peeling my ears away from your descriptions. 😆 Colonia definitely a super easy spray and go fragrance. 👌

Oud Radieux is spectacular stuff, my friend.
Also, yes, L'Envol is now available, along with many others, as a "refill" in the new fragrance device.

Cheers, Michael. It's a very interesting line that (mostly) rewards sustained attention.

Yes, the citrus does fade quickly (though I'd imagine you get more of it with a spray than a dabber).
Great stuff Ryan ,admittedly I’ve not tried any of That Cartier line ,but always appreciate your most informative videos ✌️🙏👍
Cheers, Bren!
I need to go check out those Cartier’s.
They can be hard to find, even at Cartier boutiques.

It's good stuff.
Always look forward to these, thanks Ryan 😘
Cheers, Cleo.
I sampled the Oud & Ambre and it reminded me of La Couche du Diable (also only sampled once.) I’m curious if you also see the resemblance?
I know La Couche very well and wouldn't say that, side by side, they seem similar to me, but they do both have labdanum front-and-center so I can see why others might connect them.
Have you tried oud & santal? It's personally my favorite of the heures voyageuses line :)
I did! I found it to be a close relative of Pasha Parfum.
@@thetrueconnoisseur me too until the side by side!

Nice pun!
