    Great reviews! I compared the sound of this, and the Sole F80 from your other review. The F80 not only sounds quieter, but more smooth and efficient sounding. The 1750 sounds rough, like more wear and tear is happening. I purchased the F80. I don’t need another membership from Nordictrack. Thank you for the great information.

    Gracias.
    Saludos.
    David.

    Another great detailed review ("...pivoting the machine to an incline of 15 and I'm going to run at 5mph. Now listen to the sound and watch for the cushioning..." @19:00+). Excellent. All these 1750 features sound great(!) but [ danger word : - ) ] with them reducing the length of their warranty and the significant number of complaints I've seen about Nordictrack / Icon's customer service / service departments, I'm thinking to forego the attractive (desired) features for what seems to be more durability and longevity with Sole (F80)... Looks like this time I won't be able to have "both." Thanks again for the review...

      If a fan is important to you you're likely to be disappointed with the Sole F80. I was also leaning toward it but was able to walk on one today at a local sporting goods store and the fan is just terrible, completely inadequate for me, as I definitely like some breeze when I'm walking or running.

    Another quick question, if I may. The user manual says when you turn the machine off to turn the switch to the off position than unplug the machine from the outlet (or surge protector), whichever. My question is, do you really have to unplug the machine after each use? It seems a bit over-doing it. Most machines, after say 5 or 10 minutes of inactivity, it will go off by itself. Or just turn the on/off switch to the off position. What do you recommend?... Thanks, Tommy

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, we usually keep our machine plugged in, but the screen never really shuts off, it just stays on the screen saver. If you want your screen to turn off entirely you will need to unplug the machine or just switch the machine off, that is up to you.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It kind of depends on your building. The 1750 is solid and sturdy but it's still a treadmill and any running can cause lower floor noise. If you place it on carpet or a treadmill mat that will help a lot to reduce vibrations. Good luck!

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right now we'd recommend the 1750 because NordicTrack upgraded it for 2021 with a quieter incline drive. We received a new 2021 model this week and it is noticeably quieter. It also has a faster processor for less lag/buffering time. The ProForm 5000 and NordicTrack 1750 are very similar functionally but these upgrades make the 1750 a better machine overall.

    *edit* I see in your written review that the device has these. Can you help me find them? I'm only seeing the iFit workouts, not graph style, no voice-over workouts. Also, thanks for your review, it helped push me to purchase this machine!

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, the 1750 has 50 preloaded programs that are independent of iFit. You can access these through the Library section on the 1750 touchscreen. They include HIIT training, endurance runs, sprints, rolling hills, etc. There is also a manual mode, so you can do your own thing as well.

    Hello? We are thinking of buying this treadmill but would like to know what happens to the screen if we don’t renew the iFit subscription? What will be shown in the screen at that point? And seeing how we don’t want the iFit feature, should we be considering another machine? Thank you!

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't subscribe to iFit, you still access all the free classes through the iFit library, only the subscription ones are locked. The free classes include outdoor and indoor options that still offer good training. You also have access to manual mode without iFit. If you don't want iFit, I'd maybe recommend looking at the Sole F85 or Sole F80. They are good machines that don't require a subscription.

    Can this safely sit on carpet and a raised foundation? Would there be too much pounding on a raised foundation that it would hurt the floor?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what you mean by "raised foundation." Do you mean you want to put the treadmill up on blocks? We recommend only using your treadmill on a solid floor. Wood, concrete or carpet are all fine. If you plan to build a faux floor that would firmly support the treadmill like a solid floor it would probably be okay. But if the treadmill doesn't have enough support underneath it can compromise the integrity of the deck.

    really glad I found your channel. excellent reviews. I love the folding feature and padded belt but am enticed by the Tread+. I am 55 and curious how much the flexible belt will matter - on the Tread is it a tough surface for joints for older runners? is the difference significant?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Tread+ is a great option for young or conditioned runners, but it may be too hard for those with joint issues or older users. The Tread+ really doesn't offer a lot of shock absorption, so if that's a concern, we'd recommend the Nordictrack 1750 or a Horizon treadmill -- they have substantially more cushioning in the deck.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The non-subscription programs come preloaded on the machine. However, NordicTrack will often provide a free iFit "workout of the day" or update content on their preloaded programs via an internet connection, so even if you don't subscribe to iFit, having access to the internet will enhance the functionality of the 1750.

    When you increase your pace on the IFIT programs will it go through the iFit program faster? So if I want to run at 6:45min/mile pace and not 9:00min/mile will it work for that pace you want?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can adjust the pace to be whatever you want. However, this will not change the length of the program. For example, a 30minute run will still be 30minutes, you'll just run more miles in that length of time if you pick up the pace.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Sole F80 is a great machine. It does offer a lifetime warranty which is awesome. The 1750 offers more cushioning in the deck and we like the console layout better. It also has iFit with over 16,000 workout videos (classes, outdoor runs, walks, hikes, etc.) and a full color touchscreen, but after the first year, you have to pay monthly for the subscription. So it kind of depends on what you are looking for. You can't go wrong with either one. For comfort and content, we recommend the 1750. For durability and simplicity, go with the F80.

      The new Peloton Tread (not the recalled Tread+) is a solid treadmill. The Tread doesn't fold up, so you do need a dedicated space, but one Peloton subscription will cover both a Bike and Tread so you don't have to pay for two. If you use the Peloton digital app on a tablet, the Sole F80 is a good option. It has a tablet holder above the console and a simple LCD screen that doesn't require a subscription.

    Another question occurred to me: If you are doing an iFit program and lose Internet connection, what happens? Does the machine stop running or does it automatically switch over to manual, or ??? The lower level of our house where this would go can have spotty WIFI.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru

      We've lost internet before and it pauses the program for a minute or two while trying to reconnect. If no connection is made in a minute or two then it kicks you back to the main iFit screen. If your wifi is spotty a modem extender might help strengthen the signal for remote areas in your home.

    Hey, so I have this treadmill! My question is about the speed buttons, and I'm having trouble going from a sprint to a jog- when I hit 6 button it doesn't do anything and when I hit the 6 button again it goes to 6.6 mph. How do I go right to 6.0?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sometimes we have that problem too. When you hit a button quickly twice in a row, it will jump to that speed. So if you hit 6 twice quickly it goes to 6.6. When you hit a button, wait a few seconds to see if it changes before you hit it again. If after the second time it goes to 6.6 (for example) hit 6 again and it should go back to 6mph. We're not sure why it doesn't seem responsive the first time, but we have one machine in our studio that does this as well.

      The Sole F80 has a simpler console and doesn't require an internet connection. It has a higher weight limit and longer warranty.
      The NT 1750 is more cushioned, so it's more comfortable to run on, has a touchscreen with a better console (buttons for each speed and incline). But it does require an internet connection (even if you don't use iFit) and if you want to use iFit after the first year, there is an ongoing subscription ($15/month for one profile $33/month for 5 profiles).

      Thanks!
      The Sole F80 is durable and very sturdy. We have had little to no mechanical or other issues with the Sole treadmills we've used and tested. Sole provides a full lifetime warranty on their treadmill frames which is a reflection of the quality. However, the Sole treads are not as cushioned as the Nordictrack treadmills.
      The Nordictrack treadmills are more cushioned and have more advanced tech -- so they are better if you want video content with Live and recorded classes, a Leaderboard and regularly updated content. But Nordictrack machines but only have a 10 year warranty on the frame rather than lifetime.
      If you want something simple and durable, we recommend the Sole F80. If you want something more comfortable with more cushion and video content, the 1750 is better.

The 1750 fan is well powered and has four settings: low, med, high and auto (where the fan responds to belt speed). If a fan is a determining factor for you we would definitely recommend the 1750.

    How do you turn off the treadmill?? Where is the power button?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The power button is not convenient! It is located on the front of the running platform down where the power cord goes into the machine.

    I weigh close to 300lbs. Is this treadmill right for me since I'm close to the weight limit?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be fine. The 1750 has a 3.75HP motor which will support regular use. However, if you are interested in comparable models with a higher weight capacity, you could look at the Sole F85 which has a 4.0HP motor and a 400lb weight capacity. The Bowflex BXT216 also has a 400lb weight capacity, a 4.0HP motor and a bit more cushioning than the Sole F85.

    Is that Tablet part of the machine or is that you?
    After ifit subscription runs out does this tablet it have capability to run TH-cam, News and ot Netflix? If not can I cast my Android to the tablet?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tablet in the center of the console is an embedded touchscreen. It cannot be removed. You can't cast externally from another device to the screen. The screen will only display iFit classes and content, so you can't watch Netflix or the news. If you don't pay for a subscription the screen still works, but it will only show the free classes, not all the content.

    Great review - debating between this and the 2950! 1750 is €1999 and 2950 is €2850, is 2950 really worth the extra cash? Also considering the Sole F63 or F85. Really some long runs and intervals during winter is plan and my wife may walk.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 2950 has a larger motor and screen. It is our favorite folding treadmill, but as you mentioned, it jumps a bit in price. You get a great value with the 1750 -- so you can't go wrong with either one.
      The Sole F63 is a good treadmill for walking, but we don't recommend it for long runs. The console is a bit dated and there isn't as much cushion in the deck. The Sole 85 works well for running and has a bigger motor -- but the 1750 and 2950 both offer more cushioning in the deck and much more tech enhanced screens than the Sole machines.

      @@TreadmillReviewGuru Thank you for the response :) Opinion though is it worth the extra €850?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@roryg3381 you really only need the 2950 if you plan to do lots of long distance running. The 2950 has a 4.25HP motor and the 1750 has a 3.75HP motor. Most users won't notice a difference. It's really only an issue if you are dedicated to heavy training (10+ miles per day). Aside from a larger screen on the 2950, they both have the same features and the same weight capacity. The 1750 provides an excellent cost to benefit ratio and is one of our favorite treadmills. If you plan to use it for running, jogging, and walking (as you mentioned), the 1750 is a great choice.

    Great review. Very good job. Can you link your Bluetooth earbuds with it?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately no, you can't sync earbuds with the 1750. There is a way to hack the console which allows you to access Bluetooth from the Android tablet, but this could void your warranty if you have a problem. Many users have reported success with this solution, though.

      Do you know if the Polar H9 heart rate monitor chest strap can pair/connect to the ifit console on the treadmill?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@virarama907 if it is a Bluetooth chest strap it should pair. If it is ANT+ it won't as the 1750 isn't ANT+ compatible -- but usually it is only the Garmin chest straps that use ANT+
