I am a Dutch immigrant to the US and have been here in California for over 35 years.I am appalled at how Ayaan was threatened by immigrant Islamists in my home country when she was serving in Parliament . Please people, read her books and her long road from Islam and Somalia, to becoming a politician in the Netherlands to immigrating to the US. Her insights are invaluable. I hope to meet her some day.
Great speaker as always.. Its hard to fight ignorance and corruption, but its becoming more and more essential everyday. I've heard this Woman speak before now. This was a great broadcast. This is where I'm finding my optimism. I once considered myself to be left leaning but as I saw the gradual implementation of clumsy political correctness during the 80s. By the 90s, it was ridiculous already. I was aghast that there appeared to be this ideological conformity, a standard orthodoxy as to how we should think. It's a cliché but I'd read Orwell and we were witnessing the enforcement of newspeak and slowly but surely finding ourselves being thought policed.
