Closed primaries should be illegal. No one should be forced to join a political party. We vote for a person. Closed primaries gives power to a political party. Politically parties get hijacked by extremists.
Only one of these guys spoke to independent voters like they matter. Only one of these guys used facts instead of scare tactics. Only one of these guys talked to us as if we're mentally capable of handling a small change. Luke spoke like a genuine person who is tired of how unfair our system is. Trent spoke like someone doing a Tucker Carlson impression.
You as an independent voter doesn't get to decide who the republican nominee is, only republicans you 🤡. I hope if this does pass republicans just do a caucus to screw you idiots from trying to decide who our nominee is.
@@TalentonloanfromgodThere will be a lot of Republicans voting yes on Prop 1. We are tired of whackadoodles like extremist Dorothy Looney Moon micromanaging our county politics.
I think the most annoying part where he said something along the lines of "find a republican or Democrat and just choose one" I don't want to align to either of those parties and immediately solidified I'm voting Yes
As far as i know idahoans are fairly distrusting of politics in general and parties specifically. Yes on prop 1. Open primaries reduce the power and influence of the parties.
Wait so his only argument against a reform intended to make our republic more democratically representative is "hanging chad" type stuff that's already happening?
I'll be voting yes! I'm so happy this made it to our ballots!

This debate just cemented my decision to vote yes on Prop 1.

@@kuronx_8686 I agree, I do not stand with either party and would like to be given many options and more candidates that represent me

Why is someone from Oklahoma even debating in this about IDAHO elections
Don't Oklahominate Idaho! Vote YES on Prop 1!

Why does the government spend so many resources facilitating party primaries that aren't even open to the public? No more handouts to private parties!
We should be always trying to build more democratic systems.
