      There is plans to bring a train between las and la back, it was a thing in the 80s but when amtrak had budget cuts it was cut, its going to be back by 2035, probably earlier as california is pishing for it and we put lots of money into train projects. Also broghtline west is doing the same route with a high speed train, no word on when that will be built but would be an incredibly useful project

      @@alfredgalan1912 what do you mean by this, trains are a net good economically, take cars off the road and transport more people, who will have to stay the night atleast in one the 2 citys, eat, gamble, do business, ect

    This is probably my favorite stretch of road I’ve ever driven on. I just love the way the beautiful desert landscape contrasts with my every day environment on the east coast. It feels like exploring another world. I have been lucky and have never experienced super bad traffic. I have heard horror stories though.

    They are working on building a bullet train system that will take people from LA to Las Vegas. It depends on the model trains but typically a bullet train can go over a 100 miles perour taking passengers from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Think about it for only something like $50 to $100 You could write a train that can go between 1 to 200 miles per hour. Is making a 4 and a 1/2 hour drive to Maybe only 2 hours. And be cheaper and easier to get back on than an airplane.

      As someone who has dricen the 15 to victorville on a weekend, yes, it is a nightmare, take a bus or the train once that comes back sometime before 2035, flying is also a nightmare but not as bad as driving

    • @Grgaforniateezy
      @Grgaforniateezy ปีที่แล้ว

      She’s right. You can leave for Vegas from LA on Friday but leaving after 11am can be a dice roll. I don’t think she’s making it sound terrible just informative for those that don’t know. I went to Vegas for the 1st time in Thanksgiving 2009 and didn’t know any better. We left Sunday at checkout and it took 8 1/2 hrs to get back to OC, 2 hrs just to reach Stateline. I think her review is solid

    We avoid the Mojave Desert route. The time savings isn’t worth it when you’re driving and you have no cell phone signal. Also the windy road is a rollercoaster at night. Stay on the main highway instead. Consider stopping at Barstow or Baker for gas, comfy pit stops and restaurants. Eddie’s World is a nice stop for gas and clean roomy bathrooms. And the candy shop there has a nice selection.

    We do this drive consistently for many years for work. I average 3-4k miles a month. Every point you made is super accurate 👏 Pilot on Lenwood in Barstow is an easy in and out for gas. Stop either way bc like you said, once you pass Barstow there isn’t even a hotel until Prim NV. For me the hardest leg can be what should be the simplest…. Stateliness to home (NV). Stay safe and STOP. If you have to. Someone needs to build a hotel in Baker.

    Meh I've driven literally everyday back and forth for much much much longer than you or 99% of other people making this trip have. Most of these dont apply to most of the year. Driving from Vegas/Henderson to LA should 999999% of the time be a 4-4.5 hour drive with normal traffic. With accident especially on part going downhill from Victorville to San Bernardino, driving to OC will be 5 hours.
