He's lost his granddaughter, his wife refuses to accept the fact that Casey should be held responsible, his daughter accuses him of molesting her, Casey's team blames him for her death etc. and he is still not allowed to show emotion during this trial. Yes, but why didn' she spell her name Xanaida then? BC in Spanish, there are some names beginning with a x, Ximena for example...Xanny the nanny, no!? To be honest, I guess that was the only name coming into her mind while being asked on the phone at once. If she had said Diana, would it have been Diazepam which she gave her daughter to sleep well? ;-) BTW: was there found any Xanax in the remains of the little one?

Caylee would turn 16 years old this year. This year she could've gotten a driver's license, gotten her first job, been in her first relationship, and much more, but that was all stolen from her when her life was taken. Her first day at school, every friend she could've made, every place she could've traveled to, every drawing she could've made, every game she could've played is all dust in the wind. There was so much out there in this world she could've experienced if she were still here with us, and the people who loved her have to bear the pain of that loss every day. RIP Caylee. My abuser did everything in his power to force me to play happy family, and would often act nicely to me after the event to soothe his own guilt from my understanding. He would buy me things and brag about my accomplishments to his friends and say he was "proud of me". I believe to try to make himself feel like less of a horrible person for what he did. Despite not being old enough or in a position to be independent, I forced his hand with the social pressures of the circumstance, and I was only molested once. My own mother still blames me for it and refuses to speak on the matter because I, "broke up our family, and I can't just move on"
I wouldn't be able to get out till much later and I understand the guilt of truly hating someone and being in a position where you still need them. I understand the guilt of not being able to forgive despite knowing you were wronged. I understand the guilt of reactive abuse and hating yourself to a point you think it's your own fault. I could never understand what she did, but I do understand how much I was impacted, and how that changed the rest of my life.

We could've gone to hoco at the same time, prom at the same time. We could've paid senior dues, cap and gown fees, prom attire bills at the same time.
We're only less than five months apart.

Casey’s mother is just as guilty and probably should have been charged too, at least for giving false info / obstruction. I can now see why everyone says she’s the most hated woman in the US.

Yup, even gonna be executive producer. This was first case I ever followed intensely, first time I watched an entire trial. It was intense. Most heartbreaking case ever. I had my son when I was 17 in 2005 and I just couldn't understand. Nothing she says will make me hate her less, all set with this habitual liars documentary 🙄.

@@indigobrooklyn1234 I don’t think she was actually apologizing- not sure if the commenter is Canadian, but as a Canadian we say “I’m sorry” to mean a lot of things. In this case probably “I’m sorry, but” = “this needs to be said”.

Casey’s parents covered for Casey her entire life. Even when they knew she wasn’t really graduating, they still threw her a graduation party to save her the embarrassment of not graduating. When she couldn’t hold down a job, buy her own car, take care of her own kid, her parents would step in and take care of those things for her. They never let her suffer the consequences of her actions so it’s no surprise to me that even when they knew she killed her daughter they still stepped in and covered for her.
I’m sure Casey still treats them with the same ungrateful attitude she always has.

Imagine how different things could have been if she hadn't abandoned that car. If she had just asked a friend to drive her to a gas station so she could fill up a jug, then asked that friend drive her back to the car, I wonder how long she could have gotten away with it? There's no doubt in my mind that it would have eventually been found out no matter what because there's no way Kaylee's grandparents would have just let go of the fact their granddaughter was missing.
