- In the ancient rainforests of Malaysia, lives an animal so elusive - it is like a phantom. The Malayan tiger is the striped monarch of this kingdom but today, the striped hunter has become the hunted. Poachers enter the land of the tiger to snare and sell their prey. For the tiger to be saved, a definitive new survey is being carried out in the most challenging conditions to find out how many tigers still survive in the wild and where. Thousands of camera traps have been placed throughout this forbidding world and the images are an insight to life in the rainforest. Results from the survey are devastating and galvanises action to save the Malayan tiger.
I pray we all get to see a world where deforestation is a thing of the past 🌍
I couldn't agree more!!
India is doing far better in conserving the tigers
I believe humans need to be taken care of in India!

So, they can breed even more people, eh?! False logic you have there!
That’s mostly cause of hindu beliefs in respecting all live beings especially animals while other cultures have different views on wild animals
The enormous size of deforestation is sickening! Have those people no common sense; (don't answer that.) The erosion it causes is reason enough not to allow it! Ban the sale of rare wood species and imprison illegal loggers and poachers for a long time.
Greed has no limits.
Wow, the footage of the camera traps are amazing! Good to see they caught 2 poachers, but it makes one wonder how many are still operating undisturbed!
beautiful documentary, Big shout out to the conservation team , you guys are the real champion our real super hero in human form.
Do continue to save the animals and especially the tiger. So heartbroken to see the animals with three legs . Big Love From Nagaland
to wake up the world about these atrocities, you put the buyers of these beautiful animals on blast
This was a hard watch 😮
amazing
I live in Malaysias for 20 years❤️ greatest experience ever!
And what have YOU done to protect the Malay tiger and/or the preservation of the rain forest!?
@@touchofgrey5372they just care about themselves and people not wild animals unfortunately
They should be going after the hunter's
If you watched the entire documentary you'd know that the government is taking measures to stop them
Lindo vídeo 📹 lindos felinos na natureza obrigado por compartilhar às informações dos aminais 🆗️🇧🇷🙏❤️🐾
what you need Malaysia.!?, you are already rich, you don't need that much timber and money, Borneo already destroyed, everywhere covered with palm oil plantations, you realy have to stop and limit that greed, what you need more, you already own the heaven on Earth, this is a beautifull country, please halt..
can't stand the stupid comments!
😅 I'm so with you. Just try your best to ignore and educate when deemed necessary
@@mreclectic700 I'll try my very best to ignore that kindergarten talk.
34:00 that's a beast of a male
How are they going to find an explanation for the animal's weird behavior? Ask him??
This is supposed to be a Tiger documentary right? LOL it shows Tigers about 5% of the time!!
🐯
COULD JUVENILE CAPTIVE BRED
B RELEASED
TO THE WILD?
Captive juvenile what!? They just said 50% of the cubs do not survive! So, you think human raised tiger cubs would have a better chance?
It wouldn't matter if they don't do a better job of protecting them in the first place. They need a zero tolerance policy for poachers. If poachers need money, educate, train and hire them to protect Tigers, if they have a meaningful job and make enough money to live, they wouldn't need to poach.

You just don't get, it do you!
I did give you a reply, but then you erased YOUR comment and thereby erased my comment too! Just for the sake of posting your idiotic idea!
Well, have at it; perhaps there are more people out there with common sense and they will also give you a piece of advice!
What do these scientists use for protection from the tigers that they hunt?
I wish Singapore tyger are back😢😢
Teejay
why don't you employ all young male Jahai tribal people as park rangers, first train them very well and give them full necessary authorasation and provisions, support their families with full facilities, they should not worry about their well being, they trust and cherish with their state and their nation, with a good coordination you can manage this, you can be verry succesfull I'm sure, c'moon Malaysia you can do it, we love you, we want you be succesfull..!

Trinity is pagan style of worshiping your creator Allah.
relocate the tiger to South America where the terrain is exactly the same
A Reserve or national Park would enhance revenue with tourists....
Poachers could be used as tour guides by giving them a job
By the way, a single ranger can be bribed as a Veteran Poacher
They would wipe out the jaguars if they are introduced to south america
This is not a wise idea and it will create disbalance in the food chain
Very, very bad idea!
add your own idea before u criticize

"Poachers as tour guides!🤣🤣🤣
My idea??? Sure: Leave the tigers where they are and give them enough CONTINUOUS range to travel vast distances undisturbed!
Stop illegal logging!
Cheers
How many babies are aborted while money is spent on this?
I don't agree with it either. But there's no shortage of humans on the planet. Tigers are in critically short numbers everywhere and some subspecies are already gone forever.
Animals were here first. They have just as much right to exist as we do.
Sad😢
