As an animal lover, this breaks my heart especially since it is happening in our own backyard. i hope we as a nation would developed mindfully and with sustainability in mind. Malaysia have one of the oldest rainforest in the world, it takes a lot of effort to be mindful. i hope highways and railways also includes animal corridor and safe crossing throughout the jungle patches. I am currently writing books and making malaysian animal content to spread awareness for our precious flora and fauna. no amount of richness or money or fame can reverse the loss if we fail to safe our nature. I applaud the Pahang Royal family for finally listening to our pleas with the new Royal Tiger Reserve in Pahang. and i strive that my family that could work closely with this effort.

Simple and meaningful Documentary. Nak tanya sikit ...

The most enraging things is, these poachers are not even local but how can they enter Malaysia? Who are the person in charge to control these people to enter the forest and hunt the tigers down? I'm not insinuating that the locals got something to do with it but still, how did they enter Malaysia illegally? are there no one securing the country borderline? I believe someone should be held responsible for this matters and we have to investigate this to the root so that this problems can at least be controlled. I mean, hundreds of poaches ??? even human can't enter the forest at this point. Not only the animals but the people that are living, working and helping the animals in the forest are also in danger. Should someone be harmed first for us to take action to this people? Should it happened to human first for us to realized how bad is this?

The tiger came into the village asking for help knowing the tiger had cancer. The tiger was not a threat to the villagers just wanted someone to know it was sick.

What a beautiful area…I hope this challenging and very important effort succeeds. Saving apex predators saves entire ecosystems. Wherever there are animals used in traditional medicine a ranger’s work is very dangerous. I am 73 and during my life so many species have become extinct. We are all children of the earth but sadly, human greed is such a destructive force. It breaks my heart. Poor Awan…distemper is a terrible disease. When I was a child we lost a dog to it. She was suffering so much…screaming in pain and burning up with fever…my father put her down. There is a vaccine for it, but it’s expensive.

I'm Malaysian and sometimes we saw the news that tigers came out to the highway road from the jungle. It's hard to believe that they still exist.

Tigers and all wild animals, which we share the planet with, have more to fear from humans than humans to them.

I think at this number, most tigers should've been relocated to a few fenced/guarded areas. Although it's not their usual way of living, tigers are shown to be able to adapt to communal living and hunt in coalitions.

In india tigers are under the heavy protection of federal govt which has the law for shoot at sight order for poachers, tigers are just like the citizens in india.❤

The national parks should be protected at all cost. The diversity is impressive.
I would say that human activities and deforestations are causing more decline of tiger population than poaching activities that the documentary does not touch on. Probably sanctioned by the Malaysian govt.
