    This is such a useful video for me. Nicely done too.
    For me The Pro Gear and the Pro Gear Realo feel like larger pens because of their diameter, but they have the shortness that makes it feel like I'm not waving a spear about. I use them unposted.
    In this way I think they are a clever design and of course they write beautifully. As would the Slim I'm sure.
    Thank you for this video - Nice one!.

    Thank you very much for this comparison. Had the LE slim Starburst and loved it. Hope you will also make a 1911 regular vs 1911L comparison as well!

    This video is very helpful. My first sailor will be a Pro Gear instead of the slim model.
    I like how the pro gear is a compact length, yet large enough to use unposted, a good size for posting, and with a full size section and nib.

    Scrively, how are you my friend. How appropriate because the next pen on my list of pens is a Sailor Pro-Gear and here you are doing an overview on a couple of the said pens excellent stuff. Thank you very much for sharing two amazing pens and see you on your next video.

    I'm curious, how does the PGS compare to the Sport in regards to the grip size? Or maybe to a Lamy 2000 or Pilot Falcon by any chance? I feel I similarly can "get away" w/ the PGS. But comfort probably lies w/ the regular PG. But if it is larger than the Sport, I think it may be enough to save they money, heh.

    • @Scrivelynotes
      @Scrivelynotes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry, I do not have a PGS in the collection anymore, so can’t compare for you. But I recall the section being pretty much comparable to the one of a Pelikan M200/400, if that helps as a reference.

      Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town,
      Up stairs and down stairs in his night-gown,
      Tapping at the window, crying at the lock,
      Are the children in their bed, for it's past ten o'clock?
      This is a nursery rhyme traditionally recited to children at bedtime in Scotland. Wee Willie Winkie, is a benevolent if rather nosy figure, similar to the sandman in other traditions, and he's concerned for children's welfare, and in particular that they're getting to bed at the proper hour. It doesn't say what sort of fountain pen he would use, but I'd put him down as a Lamy Lilliput user myself. As for his favorite ink, maybe Diamine Twilight?

      @@Scrivelynotes you’ve passed the age of taking criticisms like so, I’ve got nothing against you, just your vocabulary as a reviewer, specifically, the use of significantly, the section of a Lamy safari is significantly narrower than that of a Lamy dialog 3, between a pro gear and a pro gear slim, a marginal but detectable difference. No one is out to get you, English is not your first language, I know, neither is it mine, we could all learn some more.
