Hello, I have a can-am xds 1000r, when I activate the 4w module it blows the 5A fuse in the fuse box, but I already replaced the box but it happened again even with the new module.
2020 defender hd10 limited, 4wd will not engage. Fuses are good. When I hit the 4wd toggle, I can hear a "winding noise" in the front like something is trying to engage, when I disengage, I hear it again.. does the actuator go up front or is that something else I'm hearing?
No I don’t, these were one off custom made for us. The manufacturer will not make any more of them. We have three left at this time on Amazon and that’s it.
@@bigant1220 Are you looking for the half case? If so, we no longer carry those. The manufacturer will no longer make them. We do have the complete assemblies here on Amazon. amzn.to/3I8M7uv Let us know if we can help with anything else.
Just installed the new half piece on the actuator, and now the 2wd and 4wd positions are switched and no diff lock. Should there be a reset after installing this?
@@justinhulett5991 Make sure the shift fork on the actuator is in the 2WD position and make sure the gear case assembly on the machine is in the 2WD position. Probably just had one in 4WD and the other in 2WD when you installed it.
@@andrewgosnell7051yes i’m having the same problem, i had to switch my gearbox but before i had to replace it my 2nd would work, with my new used one in, it’s stuck n 4wd and my actuator makes noise when i try to switch. any suggestions??
Where is the actuator located? I am searching for a diagram so I can check mine. Same issue where it works maybe 1 in 50 times I activate the switch. I installed a brand 4x4 toggle switch. 2015 Can AM Maverick 1000R
@@501PartsTechThanks. One very important note. Don't let the gears fall out. I did and it took 2 hrs of trial and error to get it together correctly and timed to the correct movement. After cleaning it works like new.

My 07 Outlander 650 isnt going into 4wd when I hit the switch the actuator makes a constant sizzling sound but it sounds weak. Does that sound like a problem with something else?

You probably have a short in the wiring harness somewhere. Check the wiring down to the actuator and up behind the switch.

The actuator on the fender is on the passenger side of the engine/gear case up under the rear bed.
do you have the part number for the half case? since the link you posted has no availability anymore. Thanks.

I have a 2021 Can-Am outlander 450 it is stuck in four-wheel-drive would you have any tips on what I can do
It’s typically the actuator causing the problem. Or a broken wire.
Well I have power going to the actuator and it works but will not come out of 4wd

Does the inside if this actuator supposed to have oil? On the electrical part?
No oil in the actuator

It’s on the gear box assembly

The 4 pin actuator will replace the 3 pin but not vice versa.
Hello i here my actuator working but it's not going into 4 wheel drive any ideas
Could be something stripped inside the actuator itself or a problem in the gearcase on the machine. Need to open up the actuator and check it out.
