this guy's progressions and breakdowns are maybe the tastiest in the whole metal scene. Only band I can think is in the same realm would probably be periphery, but they go nuts with their parts(I like that too).
AJ Rebollo and Sky Accord are my favorite part of Issues. So damn talented. I've heard nu-metal, jazz, funk, and metal core influences in their work. Truly amazing to mix genres like that!
+mattpechous1 hahaha..nope..issues just unique...maybe they have influence but i think issues musicality just very unique and more technically than nu metal :)
+Paradidle TV Heavy music with Dj scratches with rap screams and clean vocals is not reinventing the wheel . There good . Different from everything right this very moment a little but still break downs and open note bends. Unique to this year for sure .
they really do! I always thought that they were sort of meeehh players in terms of everything but drums due to weird mixing, but seeing them live and seeing play throughs of songs made me rethink my position and love their creativity
Very good choice to make this playthrough instrumental, as compared to the bass playthrough. The guitar work here is fantastic and deserves to be fully showcased the way it was here. Bravo!
As a guitar player who has listened to a lot of Issues stuff, I honestly wasn't expecting much but some chugs and a few phrases, but the chords here are great fusion played with distortion. This is like really cool stuff you have going on here, not just octaves or palm muted in Drop C. I'm glad I gave this a watch.
Aj deserves so much more recognition. He's probably one of the sweetest, most down to earth guys I've met and an absolutely amazing guitar player. If you ever get the chance to meet him he's amazing. Sick play through I love it and can;t wait to hear the rest of the album! :)
I really appreciate AJ as a guitarist. This guy is amazing. The way he can bring metal and jazz guitar together. Biggest reason i love ISSUES. The whole band is amazing. Metal and R&B in one. Thats amazing.
I love how taking out just one element (vocals in this case) of their songs makes the song sound completely different. This CD was a masterpiece. I knew it would be. I bought it the day it came out. The only physical CD I've bought in maybe 10 years.
everyone in issues is just so fucking talented. they never fail to amaze me with anything that they do. fantastic job AJ, can't wait to see you guys on warped! 💕
Such a beautiful guitar, and beautiful playing as well. I have to say, listening to it the first time I was not at all expecting that low string to be tuned down so low after the intro. xD I definitely need an album from these guys.
I’ve always found their guitar riffs to be so original and cool. It’s so unlike anything I normally see. I have no idea how they come up with this stuff.
AJ is fucking king man, him and Sky are the most down to earth dudes I've ever met from a band. Love Tyler and Michael, but I would totally chill with Sky or AJ any day. Definitely feel like they deserve more recognition.
+Joaquin Pineda Someone asked Issues in a meet and greet I went to in Florida, and Tyler said they wouldn't be doing another Flippen Real World, unless it was picked up by MTV for a reality show lol
not my favorite band but the instrumentals are really something that should get some appreciation especially that layered lead under the intro riff omg that is a dope lead
AJ is such a talented guitarist! You guys hear of his hardcore band, Carried Weight? Super tight but I think for uniqueness, Issues takes the cake. AJ sure as hell shows his skills here.
I think it's cool that these guys who sometimes sound cliche and typical can bring such taste into their music. It makes poppy songs like "Home Soon" not just tolerable but actually great.
this guy's progressions and breakdowns are maybe the tastiest in the whole metal scene. Only band I can think is in the same realm would probably be periphery, but they go nuts with their parts(I like that too).
Only person I think can trump this is the dude from Napoleon.
Seriously though he is so fucking creative.
Low key becoming one of my favorite guitarists period. His parts are so memorable and vibey
@@f0kxi I liked it so much I used it for a vocal cover on my channel :D
Periphery has 3 guitarist too, so it's more a fuller live sound.
AJ deserves so much more recognition. He's so goddamn talented.
Please don’t use the Lord’s name in vain. Thank you.
@Oxygohome Go somewhere else then snowflake nobody cares about your fake sky daddy
probably the most underated bro in issues, sick dude love this guy
he's even doing the screams part since the other guys departure
AJ ROLE: Main Carry
@@Denden-mx9gl So he's the ADC now? :p
@@WAstateofmind yeah, he can solo top vayne too.
Every member of issues is talented as fuck. It's crazy how groovy yet hard hitting this is
one of my favorite things if not my favorite thing about issues is the creative as fuck guitar writing. this is cool as hell.
yo dog you seem chill as fuck drop your snap
AJ Rebollo and Sky Accord are my favorite part of Issues. So damn talented. I've heard nu-metal, jazz, funk, and metal core influences in their work. Truly amazing to mix genres like that!

So so good
I have always loved AJ's guitar playing. Always so sick
issues just have their own genre... amazing band.. glad i'm discover this band #KeepItUp
+Paradidle TV pretty close to NuMetal . Korn Limp Bizkit type shit .
+mattpechous1 There are metalcore... According to Rise...
Djenty Metalcore + Nu Metal DJ scratches + R&B/Pop vocals
One of the best rhythm guitar players alive today, gotta love those jazz chords
I am hearing some jazz influences in this!
Nice playing AJ :3
+Marcell Roncsák thank god im not the only one buhu
Funk.
The groove in this whole album is 10/10
Also Ty went to jazz school for a year and is clearly showing in the production haha
funk is jazz you dingdong
These playthroughs show you how talented all of Issues is.
they really do!
Bravo!
great tone. dope
YES! yo Rise, keep it up with the playthroughs please. especially with Issues haha
TeaRzOfTheFalleN octaves? he plays octaves only from 3:02 to 3:17 AJ is playing full Jazz Chords...
Felipe .Guevara Laura probably the easiest part of this song
its a layer. The 2nd guitar part added for texture like the piano on the recorded version
Aj deserves so much more recognition. He's probably one of the sweetest, most down to earth guys I've met and an absolutely amazing guitar player. If you ever get the chance to meet him he's amazing. Sick play through I love it and can;t wait to hear the rest of the album! :)
From the songs I've heard his guitar work on this album is spot on
I really appreciate AJ as a guitarist. This guy is amazing. The way he can bring metal and jazz guitar together. Biggest reason i love ISSUES. The whole band is amazing. Metal and R&B in one. Thats amazing.

Freaky chords man. Love it!

It's bummin' me out that this band is done
he's so talented and underrated, love you AJ!
Every one of these guys is so talented.
I really love AJ's playing and writing style.
Those chords bring me tears of joy bruh.
his technique is alot more complex than it sounds
+TrisThaGuitarist Yup, and some silent notes that I missed before watching his playing.
everyone in issues is just so fucking talented. they never fail to amaze me with anything that they do. fantastic job AJ, can't wait to see you guys on warped! 💕
That chord work!! awesome stuff especially in this genre
Such a beautiful guitar, and beautiful playing as well. I have to say, listening to it the first time I was not at all expecting that low string to be tuned down so low after the intro. xD I definitely need an album from these guys.
They have a couple albums out. :D. I think Headspace will be their best one though.
+ZayneThyler they have 1 album and 1 EP out so far. Headspace is their second album. It's going to be great!
+Jack Cosmos an EP counts as an album. Couple means 2.
you could get specific and call it an EP and a Full Length.
loved it. So down for more of these.
that main riff has a super chon / polyphia vibe to it with the use of those 7th jazzy chords. love it !
This IS the future of music.
This is awesome! definitely gotta upload more of this kinda stuff as its so gooood!
This is so good I listen to it everyday almost
Beautiful!! Those chugs and chords are a sweet. Damn...
+Huy Nguyen yeah man, those jazz chords are so sweet
I totally love this guy's style! For me as guitarrist he is a total inspiration
the best part of issues in one video right here
can't stop watching this
Damn i love these guitar parts so much !!!!!!❤🔥
I’ve always found their guitar riffs to be so original and cool. It’s so unlike anything I normally see. I have no idea how they come up with this stuff.
I seriously love him
Beautiful guitar.
AJ is fucking king man, him and Sky are the most down to earth dudes I've ever met from a band. Love Tyler and Michael, but I would totally chill with Sky or AJ any day. Definitely feel like they deserve more recognition.
My stepson just turned me on to this..great chords, very Fusion!!!
This is so sick. I'd love to see a playthrough of Hero. That song is dope
The band member can play their instrument really well. Its makes a huge different to make their music amazing.

This is so awesome... AJ is Master!
AJ is a beast at guitar.
that guitar tone makes my mouth water
Catchiest issues riff I've every heard!
Yessss finally. Been waiting for this one for a week haha
That guitar is beautiful.

He's the best ever! This is sick xD

Such a good guitarist, big inspiration :)
MORE AJ GUITAR PLAYTHROUGHS!
El maestro de la guitarra AJ!!!!
his style is legit.
I honestly hope that Flippenmusic will make a third season of Flippen Real World with Issues now that Headspace is coming out soon!
+Joaquin Pineda Someone asked Issues in a meet and greet I went to in Florida, and Tyler said they wouldn't be doing another Flippen Real World, unless it was picked up by MTV for a reality show lol
+Jeremy Michael man that sucks! I was really looking forward for a third season
Dude, that series was sooooooo fucking funny, there were parts where my ribs were actually starting to hurt from laughter.
+Kevin MacDonald I know bro!!! but unfortunately no third season :(
awesome tone
Now I need vocal playthrough
I really need to learn some of those sexy chords he's playing in this.
Love this song :)
Watched this so many times....
Dude makes the sickest prog metal chops I’ve ever heard, like wtf.
this gives me hope of an instrumental version of these songs.
Love it!
Iiii love himmm
soooooooooo good!!!
Dude is a beast
AJ Rebollo back at it again with the Assassins Creed insignia on his ring fingerrrr
I LOVE IT!!!!
So good
So Jazzy, and progressive. Excellent work
this is the realest
does anyone know what chords he is playing, I really want to play this song but I can't pick out what chords he is playing
but does it djent?
this is not djent...
+cody shaw fam are you mad? I didn't say it was or wasn't. Either way it is a joke/reference
+cody shaw It's more djent than Jared Dines, at least this has jazz influences unlike his example of djent being generic downtuned groove chugs.
This is 100% djent. You can't play in G# and not be djent.
You can, but yes, this is djent. lol
According to Ultimate Guitar they tune to "Drop G#" which is ridiculously low for a 6 string :o
well, not really that crazy, there are much more insane tunnings in 6 strings, like "It's yours" by Loathe, which it's in drop E.
Yes! They use 0.70 on the sixth string
Tabs?
+Jose Zarate songsterr
+Timothy Tyree Easier to learn with tabs. Not everyone is a skilled show off like you
When i play with tabs i can tell if a note is wrong and i fix it. plus its better to use tabs for learning fast metal songs.
@@djsusan00 lol ok
not my favorite band but the instrumentals are really something that should get some appreciation especially that layered lead under the intro riff omg that is a dope lead
the minor 7 add 9: such a jazzy and beautiful sounding chord
min 7 add 9 is just min9 fyi.
those chords are fucking amazing
Great stuff man!
Yess
AJ is such a talented guitarist! You guys hear of his hardcore band, Carried Weight? Super tight but I think for uniqueness, Issues takes the cake. AJ sure as hell shows his skills here.
Dude man is deadass playing neosoul chords I am shook
I wonder if AJ listens to Chon.
+ExplodedConnor Sky said he was listening to Guthrie Govan while in the process of writing the ablum
I think it's cool that these guys who sometimes sound cliche and typical can bring such taste into their music. It makes poppy songs like "Home Soon" not just tolerable but actually great.
