Ugh, I can't even watch horror movies, so I had to check at the 3 minute mark. But I'll come back and do the other 30 minutes. There's an expression about curiosity and cats that fits. Except for that little canteen and one little village shop, how do these people eat? Where is their main source of food? There is a desperate need for a supermarket in the area.
Even in the capital city, Praia, supermarkets are scarce and small, nowadays you can find almost anything you need but with very little variety of brands or types of products. Virtually everything is imported, so also quite expensive.
@@chefboyrgee4142 from the sea, right? Wrong. When I moved to Cabo Verde I thought I was going to have lots of fish, but quite shockingly this is far from true. There is no real fish industry or fish culture in Cabo Verde, some people fish but mostly for their own consumption, most of the fish (and other protein stuff like meat or chicken) is frozen and imported, the relationship of caboverdians and the ocean is not the best for historical reasons, most cities (Espargos being a good example, it's right in the center of the island of Sal) were built with their backs to the sea (most of the islands have few or no beaches at all and usually the sea is rough and dangerous) and only with tourism becoming a huge part of the economy the cities started to build sea-front properties.

Maybe because no one is worried, none of them have anything to hide, simply workers on a Saturday afternoon having fun.
