Thank you for making so many videos in my home country. My grandmother is Cape Verdean, and your videos bring me right back to my roots. Keep up the good work, my brotha, love to see a fellow TH-camrs channel grow, and hopefully one day, when I visit Cape Verde, we can make a vlog together 💪🏾
I'm loving this look into Cape Verde. Seems like an AMAZING vibe and my kind of awesome people. I wish I know someone there and I'd be right there. I think I would love to call that place home. Nice, clean, and the people seem absolutely amazing.
Thank you for another great video. However because of my sincere love for Cape Verde, I very much hope that Cape Verdeans be fully aware not to allow their tourists spots like Sal to become like those in Thailand and Vietnam and turn it into a flesh market. Cape Verde has a lot to offer, let it remain a nice place for families and couples to visit, there are enough flesh markets around, let not Cape Verde be one of them, thank yuou
either one is fine but finding learning material for creole is a bit hard I'd suggest just learning portuguese and then if u want attempt learning creole from locals as you go most people are at the very least conversational in portuguese so you'd be able to get around just fine and most things written down are in portuguese too.
We love to travel and so we went to Sal for 3 weeks last year. I must honestly admit that this was a big disappointment. You are bothered everywhere and always by very pushy street vendors (from Senegal). In the end we did everything we could to avoid them ... The sea is not nearly as beautiful as in the pictures, a lot of current so you can forget about snorkeling. If you are not a fish eater like us then the food will really disappoint you and believe me, we had lunch and dinner every day in those 21 days and tried many restaurants and if we found something good and so came back the next day the quality was completely different. What was nice? The Cape Verdeans are really friendly people, we also went to the real poor neighborhoods in the evening and nobody bothered us. So as far as safety is concerned it is fine. The street vendors all come from Senegal. We really liked Shark Bay, but don't fall into the trap of having to hire a guide and water shoes, you can walk a few metres into the water yourself and see the sharks. The stray dogs are nice animals, especially those on the beach.
@@chrisduc1 It's a shame that you sometimes lie but your love for the island will cloud the truth a little, I wish you a lot of fun there but they will never see me there again....
The sea fingers AKA barnacles, are popular in Spain. It is shocking that they are so cheep on Cape Verde. But it is also one of those dishes that if you never eat it, you haven't missed anything for my taste buds.
Please note that the Badio and Sampajudo are not ethnic groups, they are pejorative names invented by the Portuguese colonists. I find it unfortunate that the Cape Verdean people were able to keep these terms to identify themselves.

You should visit Madagascar next and show us the experience there, is the black community still significant there or it's mostly mixed race and people of asian decent
I have watched many of your videos where you ask African how they feel about African Americans and most of the time the answerts have been negative. What I feel you are not doing is education them to help promotr unity. What I mean is you could have suggested video or bookks for them to read and study about African American struggle and accoplishment to help shead this negative perspective. Like if it wasnt for the laws in American that African Americans fought for they wouldnt have the right their families enjoy when moving to the United States,
They are aware of White Americans due to the media. When it comes to us, they don't know much US black culture. The Cape Verdeans born in the states are much knowledgeable. Amber Rose is half Cape Verdean
Man tell you the truth you went with wrong guides. CV totally different then what you described. Especially Sal island. Next time holla at Ramy Tours Sal for that real culture vibe.
Actually, before posting this video I uploaded those clips with the original music and they were flagged for copyright violation. Unlike you, I don't say things without knowing what I'm talking about.

Only now do you begin to understand Cabo Verde, the locals in Sal, Vicente, Anthou, Nicolau, Vista, there you will find the love of your life.
Excellent video! I will start visiting the motherland with this country.
Very nice video. I wonder if it rains much right now over there as it supposed to be rainy season, what would actually be the best time to visit?
Second time watching this video. I can't have enough of Cape Verde.
This is the Hidden Side, I don't see what is hidden?
Don’t you see? It’s called click bait

What month is this. My wife and I are coming in November and thinking of we should need a jacket for night time, thanks
This was filmed in May or June. I believe a jacket is needed at all times of the year. Nights can be cold and windy.

You can learn the basics of Cape Verdean creole grammar on ChatGPT.

The country is majority black but the elites can look almost pure Asian. Their president is a good example of that.
Tip of advice if you like Afro music/dancehall go to town on a Thursday night, that’s their weekend.
