There is a Rolling Stone magazine profile from February 1983 where the author interviews Michael Jackson and accompanies him to the Queen concert. This precise scene is described in the article.
Apparently, Michael was was remarking how pumped Fredie was to go on stage, and how much he envied that feeling!
i wonder if Michael got inspiration for the beat it video scene with the 2 guys pulling out switchblades on each other cause i thought it was that guy from the thumbnail.
Freddie & Michael were in two different leagues, Freddie in rock & from across the pond and Michael in pop and American. Having said that and this is a fact, Michael adored & emulated Freddie. Michael was smart by studying Freddie. Too bad the American media never gave the kind of respect that Freddie deserved.
Also MJ loved India & Freddie was Indian. They both had the same humble respectful attitude.
@@globalcitizenn No , he was Parsi from Iran , moved to India some generations before , because they were Zoroastrian and not Muslim . There is a big Parsi community in India for the same reason. He was Born in Zanzibar , were the father and family moved to work , then to England
An absolute WOW moment in history of music!

Notice how warmly Michael smiles, makes eye contact and shakes the stranger's hand, at a moment when his mind could have been in so many places.
