I feel this way 100 percent. I became an artist due to having a severe brain injury at 17. I was advised never to skateboard again and I still have difficulty to this day with alot of things especially social anxiety and PTSD. of course I still always want to skate and I feel like the creativity I have inside me is bottled up from not being able to skateboard and express myself through skateboarding due to my injury and fear of the worst scenario.

    • @Unlockingparadoxes

Hope you are doing well....I can relate one hundred percent to the bottled up energy. I still skate a little bit it has to be mellow do to wear and tear my knees and back are completely fubar. And ironically art is where I found myself so when I saw this video it was pure inspiration because graffiti is the second love in my life next to skateboarding. But the idea he had with wall texture just blew my mind and now I have new ideas for coming work. Thanks Chad muska. And thank you to everyone in this comment section, so much love in this community

Wow ! This really spoke to me. I can totally relate to everything he said. I myself skated a ton and love seeing these guys my age as well 42 and still chilling. I was heavy in graffiti and just about 5 years ago started bonsai. Concentrating on a living piece of art is just soo sick! There was soo much to learn in this art form and soo glad I picked it up. I can't look at another tree the same way again. He's right stay true to yourself and follow what u want. Chad u should try making bonsai u would be totally addicted to this just like I am! Damn, muska has always been ONE of my favourite skaters since my earliest exposure to true street skating because as a young kid and seeing what he could do in what was familiar terrain just blew my 4 year-old mind. So I’ve always had a deep-rooted respect for muska, but now as a 24 year old grown ass man who is for some reason only just learning about muska’s artistic endeavours (which IMO [remember art is subjective lol] is some of the best contemporary art I’ve seen produced in the last 20 years, much to my surprise) - and it’s completely changed my opinion; from muska being ONE of my favourite skaters to actually being my true favourite.

Anyone remember his tape on thps where he just riding down the street with his head phones on...it was like the opposite of Rodney but it was so chill. It made me think definitely about skating and as i got into art and music that video stuck with me. Like express yourself because you like expressing yourself not just to be the greatest at expressing yourself...that seems silly. And I think even Rodney mentioned how he hated contest because he just like to express himself and not compete. Anyway much love peace
