Hi sarah. I have brother tendy sewing machine.its model is very exclusive and mostly feet are not available here in our city.. But as much as i could learn from you....its really funn to do with you.thanks u pplz
Hi! It was Clear "monofilament" Thread. It comes in two shades - clear and smoky. Smoky works well with dark colors. Clear thread also works well with a Metallic Needle. If you go to our site and type "Clear Thread" in the search box, an example of monofilament thread will pop up. Happy Sewing!
It can accommodate a wide variety of decorative materials as long as it can fit through the groove on the bottom of the foot. For example, in the description of part number XA7874002, it states, "Pearls and sequins are just the beginning, you´ll have many creative options for surface embellishments that can be applied with ease and speed. Attach beads up to 7mm, make and apply piping up to 1/4" in diameter, you can even attach cording and piping! "
To ensure it will fit with your machine, please call or email us with your model number and we will be happy to check. Our number is 888-824-1192. Our email is info@sewingpartsonline.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
Hi Kathy! You can use the same presser foot on barbie clothes. However, depending on what machine you have, you may need a special plate to keep the fabric from getting jammed in the feed dogs. Would you mind telling me the make and model of your machine? I can double check for you.
Hi Kathy! I did some research - it looks like a straight stitch needle plate and a 1/4in foot are especially helpful when sewing barbie clothes. I'l searching for the needle plate now. Do you have a 1/4in foot?
i bought this foot after watching this video. the fabric puckers when I use it with beads even on the loosest tension and longest zigzag stitch. please help!
Would you mind sending me an email with a picture of your puckering fabric? We may have to go over a few different things and I feel I can best assess by looking at it. Our email is info@sewingpartsonline.com - Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi Sarah, I'm new to sewing, I have a Brother LX3125e and I'm wondering if the Pearls and Sequins Foot would fit my machine, it looks like it will as is a snap on but I'm not sure. I would really appreciate your help. Thank you.
Hey Sarah, Just a quick question...I understand that I must adjust the zig zag stitch and the tension but do I need to adjust the stitch length as well?? I have a Brother sewing and embroidery NV 500d it's old but works wonderfully. It uses the SA150 Pearls and Sequins foot too. In the instructions for this foot it states no more than 4mm. And I have learned from trial and error that it will only sew round pearls not the ones that are flat on the bottom. I have tried them and it gets jammed and stops feeding. Any thoughts on that?? What is the size you are using for your demonstration?? Love you tutorials. Learn so much more from you then the manuals. Thank you :-)
Hi dmaria0282! Hmmm, I haven't tried the flat back pearls. It's interesting that they don't work - you'd think flat back would be even better. I'm curious to try myself - do you have a link to the string of pearls you are using? I don't have that pearl trim anymore, but I'm pretty sure they were 3mm pearl beads. You don't have to increase the stitch length if you don't want to, though if you are experiencing issues, I would try it for larger beads and reduce for smaller beads.
Thank you Sarah, You are such a pleasure. You're very helpful and much appreciated. You are so busy but take the time to actually respond to the many questions and comments you receive. Thank you again :-)..And yes, I am a very big fan of yours. You helped me to remember how to install a zipper. You a" Diamond among Gems" BTW I think I had bought them from JKM Ribbon and Trims. But it was a few years ago.. Not sure if they still carry them. Thanks again for all of your expertise..
Thank you, thank you, thank you! There aren’t many people showing this. This is awesome.
I just added a weighted cord to some fine curtains. In the end I found the pearl foot was ideal. Don't just think pearls and sequins.

Love your tutorials & often refer to them thank you!
Cheryl Olsen Hi! You could definitely use it to sew on yarn, but it won't look exactly like couching. It will look very similar.

What type of needle is used for the sequins? Anything special or a standard?
To attach the sequins ribbon, I used a top stitching needle with the embroidery thread and a metallic needle for the clear thread.
Whats the name of the thread you said should be used?

That's mean your needle 💉 should be zig jag position for this function . please reply .🙏
Yes, in order to obtain this look, you will need to set your machine to a zig-zag stitch.
Honestly if you didnt know how to snap on a foot, why would you be looking at this tutorial, lol 😜
Can we attach smaller pearls using same foot......
