    Hello my friends!
This skewed rebate plane were laying in my workshop from few months.
It was unable to use becase the sole was worn out so i decided to add a new sole (bubinga wood) joined with sliding dovetail. I also made a new depth adjuster. For the finish i used only boiled linseed oil. I hope you will like how it works.
Thank you for spending some time on my channel.
    See you next time!
    Cheers!

It works so well that I *really* want to see you shave some dark wood as well, then make up your own lamination so you can make something like this: th-cam.com/video/_U4UMj07whs/w-d-xo.html

    Aloha ,
Here in Hawaii, when I come upon an old tired wooden bodied planes, many times I can re-sole them with Kiawe or some other tough local wood.
I love seeing them carefully put back into working order.
Termites are also a problem with these old fine tools, so these very tough woods work out fine

This fellow hand tool freak is glad to see you back!!! :) Ive worked with Bubinga before, beautiful wood..... but seriously hard, dense, and very difficult to work with.... that new sole should outlive any of us! :) My first thought when I seen the bandsaw cut through the screw..... "I would bin that metal detector" ..... the next scene you done exactly that heheh :P
It was cool to see the little lady in the workshop watching her Daddy work :)

I am glad that someone else in this world has hands like mine. Stop pinching your fingernails as blood blisters under the nails are brutally painful. I have been very careful to avoid this since I broke my right index finger five years ago. Beautiful work as expected. I built a Canada Hard Maple router plane but did it as a coffin plane. It turned out very nice and I must say you inspired me as well as Far Eastern Woodwork formally known as House I Make.
Stay safe brother and of course greetings from the high plains of Texas.
