I have a 100mm Clubman chuck with C jaws that always stay secure, but whenever I use my O'Donnell jaws (610356) the cap head screws seem to work loose no matter how well I align the jaws before tightening, any advice?

Hi there. Colwin suggests tightening the screws off of the chuck i.e. attach the O'Donnels onto the mounting jaws, as you can get a better grip with the alan key, also add a dot of oil or grease to the thread as this will help it bed in. Hope this helps

@@axminster I always fit the jaws with the chuck off the lathe and use the same screws as the C jaws, but I will give the oil a try, thanks for the tip.

We mainly use the Axminster Professional AP406WL - this is available as bench top for floor standing www.axminstertools.com/axminster-professional-ap406wl-floor-standing-woodturning-lathe-230v-720773
