I’m a massive Scooby Doo fan and many of my groups are gateway. Would this still work for that? Adult gateway gamers? Interested to see if the variability of the Kickstarter figures adds anything
I think the them e of the game helps it a lot, because Scooby Doo is universally liked ad it transcends generations. As for the game, I think it's better to have this lighter, it has aspects similar to Pandemic but it's different enough. Intriguing :] Thanks Tom!

I assume they went with Witch and Zombie because they had a cool scenario in mind, but the absence of Witch Doctor, Robby the Robot, and Miner 49er is criminal. On the other hand, there's enough notables that maybe an expansion is in the works? It'd certainly fit with the way CMON does business...
I also like that one a lot. As much as I like the miniatures in this one, I think they look better to me than the game does. I, too, shall pass. I do have the other two newer Scooby Doo games and they are pretty good, so I don't need this one. I'm not THAT much into Scooby Doo.

So, the retail edition is unpainted? That's... unexpected. I figured all the exclusive characters was enough, but I guess every cost shaving helps. Now I wonder if Mayhem is ALSO unpainted, because that seems like a huge turn-off for the target market.
I loved the 1970s version! The newest iteration is entertaining but has romance sub plot lines that kind of takes away from the mysteries and has “trap making” by Fred.

Negative. Their licence by WB was a one-time thing for these 3 games (Scooby Doo, Teen Titans, and Looney Tunee)

Seems kind of like a simplified, family-friendly Arkham Horror. Might be worth picking up if it ends up in retail since I missed the kickstarter.
I assume he's showing off the retail edition, because the kickstarter was supposed to be pre-painted (and have a plastic Mystery Machine).

So basically I am sticking with Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters. Glad I passed on this, saves me some money!

I have the Scooby Doo Escape Box. Haven't played it yet, though.
That is really fun. Play it with a full group who are all board game and Scooby Doo fans if you can, highly recommend

1-5 players, each game is about 30 minutes.

I believe only the scooby doo will come to retail unpainted since that was one of the things they advertised (painted minis KSE)

It was a stretch goal for the 2020 Kickstarter, you can watch the video of him Roy and Mike getting them on the channel
I know he got one for a stretch goal, but I'm not sure the story behind the other, since he has one on both arms now- I'd like to find out!
