Game Description -
Choose any real region from the world. Choose your base of operations, then rebuild and readapt the buildings around you to create a self-sustaining settlement. Take charge of a group of survivors from your city. And when the night falls - Defend the zone from the infected!
“The Mad Virus” has spread throughout the world with the speed of jet planes. The infected are highly aggressive, fast and strong.
In a couple of weeks, society collapsed. Cities are empty. There is no electricity, no water, and no food. Yet, there are a few survivors...
Establish a new “Infection Free Zone” wherever you choose. Set up shelters and production facilities. Adapt existing buildings to new needs. Build new farms and power houses. Establish defenses with walls, gates, and towers.
Utilize your knowledge of the city. What is the best place to defend? Where were the grocery stores, where were the pharmacies? Where would you look for weapons?
Remember that it’s dangerous to search the old buildings, there might be some infected lurking in the dark!

A developer answered on the car situation. They said it depends on the amount of roads on the map to how many vehicles spawn... btw 360 people and 1500 food in my current game... crazy lol Plus 10 squads.

Trust me, it's very hard to beat those endgame swarms. Even if you do, you'll quickly hit the "not enough wood for repairs" cycle and be done. Furthest I've gotten is 59 days (could've been a few extra days, but I gave up as soon as I got a Day 59 "swarm incoming" message). Literally had 5 swarms days 50-59 of this size.
Yeaa I think im in the 50s now and wood is def getting harder bc of the water slowing my people down ALOT

I believe he actually meant it saved you from the zed's eating you if it didn't crash/glitch at this moment of time

You should take out small groups of infected when they are right next to your base.

Not gonna lie the setup was a bit thrown together 😂 was mostly trying to have overlapping fire since it was very hard difficulty with higher hordes in the swarms.

Yea they fixed the bulk of them that where plaguing the game. This is my first time seeing this one.
This was not the same as what I saw with the contents of the storage multiplying. In my case you could see the storage contents actually counting up at the top of the screen until it filled all of my warehouses and then it crashed. This seems to be something new and exciting that you ran into! LOL RIP

I shutter to think what other variants might exist among the infected. We’ve seen the usual ones, the dogs, the alphas. But Imagine spitters, gas carriers or a variant that could start using weapons.
In the command console it shows other names they just aren't in. One being birds so I think there will be flying infected

I had that same bug in my game but mine was with bricks and then metal. Filled the warehouse and then kept trying to make more until the game crashed.

Did you know that you can lvl your squad guys up to 3 chevrons or Elite lvl? I got one of mine to that level in my current playthrough. Cant remember the stats but i know she has a 100% hit rate.
Oh and you can have at least one more HQ but im not sure if there is any advantages to having multiple. Im at day 113 so far. When I get attacked by hordes there are like 15+ groups. Its insane, game starts to lag horribly when they enter the area.

for some reason between the crash and me loading the save like 8000+ ammo spawned on the ground killing the frames there are some weird bugs sometimes with saving and loading games
Is this base early access version or beta early access?
It's post release but I'm on the experimental branch of the game.

I will just say before you start building walls build a lot of turrets. All I see people start with walls but walls will not shoot back, so just have a lot of turrets. As for me building walls is just bad idea, and have max 2k HP as reinforced turrets can defend itself against hordes. I don't know why you still have no tool factory, as you will need it to have a lot of fields and barns. You could build a tool factory and from there build a lot of tools that the fields and barns needs. This is not critic this is how I play and walls are useless as to having like 20 turrets near each others works best. But my way need a lot of ammo. I believe that a defensive wall needs more than 2 times the HP of a reinforcement tower, now it's a joke.
the problem i have found with this is i like to gethet many materials early on while hordes are small and full moons are more common, which means i need as much man power as i can get. When towers are built everywhere early on, especially before you have the antenna, getting materials take a much longer time. 🥲
@@RacoonWife_Battie Who said before antenna. You need people for the towers to.
@@Skay24 i was just using the antenna as an example 😅, and i know the towers need people, that is what i was mentioning. Having too many towers takes away from your workforce, and i have found that early on my squads can handle the hordes and sworms without towers ever shooting a single arrow or bullet. Though i suppose it all depends on difficulty and how many squads you make
I just realized that there are ranks on the people who are in the squad, does every rank increse their combat efficiency?
Yep there's only 2 ranks tho but it also makes them search faster.

@usslaffey1890 it should make them better in combat also. I forget the exact stats off the top of my head but if you put your cursor over the rank it should have a little pop up with the info.
