I have a challenge for you: make the bulkiest Bionicle that you can. Most of the ones you build are clearly meant to look very muscular, but I think it would make for an intersting video where you build a Bionicle with a BIG presence.
Wow, this is probably the most "traditional" you've ever been with the internal "skeleton" of the build. Actually the whole thing was way lighter on janky sudo-connections and illegal building techniques than normal. Even the one's that are used are frequently solid enough that I'd actually be willing to replicate it in one of my builds, but despite all that it still feels just as detailed as most of your other builds! Great work as always.
Every time I find myself thinking, "That doesn't look that good" then you add one extra detail where everything clicks, so I apologize for doubting your skill! I love the North of the Border style video and beauty shots! You're one of the few creators I have notifications on so thank you for blessing our feeds!
My jaw was dropped the entire time I watched you build this. I love making MOCs and some of the techniques you used I never would have thought of. Absolutely incredible work.
This randomly came up on my feed, and I clicked on it cause it looked really cool and this is probably the most incredible Lego build I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve just gone down to my basement and dug up a few boxes full of bionicle parts that I got off an auction a while ago then forgot about. I haven’t even opened it, but this video has inspired me to play around with them and see what’s in there.
Since there were only 200 of these masks ever made, my headcanon for this moc is that he is a warrior prince/commander of his royal army. The mask is made of a very rare crystal substance that is not only valuable to the royal family, but the crystal material itself is one of the strongest alloys imaginable. It is next to impossible to destroy. It was hand forged by the very first ruler of the kingdom 1200 years ago. It has been well sought after by thieves, barbarians, and rivaling kingdoms. Since the mask signifies royal status, honor, strength, and courage, the royal family swore an oath to protect the royal mask with their lives to their dying breaths. It was required that the royal family lead from the frontlines so that its armies would follow without question. Each member of the family was trained from birth to uphold the ideals this mask symbolizes. A king or queen unfit for battle, is likewise unfit for rule. To this day, the crystal mask is guarded almost religously by the young prince. If it is damaged in any way, stolen, or destroyed, he will not only lose all sovereignty, but cast out in eternal shame with his name erased from history for all time. It is a great burden for the 162nd monarch, but he knows that it is his responsibility to ensure the safety and continuing stability of his people.
Very slick design! I recently busted out my 20 year old parts and have been making some custom figures loosely based on the original Bionicle characters. It's not something I ever really did when I was younger outside of a few attempts at combining characters. I love all the ways you find to get pieces where you need them to be. Wish I had so many parts to work with!
First time watching a custom bionicle build and I gotta say that I was super mesmerised, like, your engineering of each body part from scratch was so impressive. I'm more of a gunpla fan but it's rare to see a custom build video where the builder crafts a joint from scratch
Yepp, forsure. This one seems to be in a reasonable range to not worry about creep as I had an older version of this moc build to years without anyvisable creep in the parts. The masks I used on the shoulders on the other hand....
Always so wonderful seeing your builds! This one reminds me of a mix of Roman armour with slight Japanese samurai influence. Absolutely gorgeous as usual!
@@MitchBuilds Definitely get the youtube game, but It's certainly still worthy of the title! Any Bionicle fan would do almost anything to have a chance at owning one of those. While it broke me a little bit to see you crack it open, you had an amazing opportunity to break that seal. Love your builds and keep up the AMAZING work! 😎
For the bohrok foot filling, use a headlight brick to make it last alot longer, the 1x1 plates will get rotated till they fall out, the headlight brick’s stud is very slightly longer than the bottom lip thing making it have the needed grip… hope you even see this comment lol
This is the coolest MOC I've ever seen, and I've seen tons of MOCs in my day. I'm soooooooo jealous of your mask, but you truly gave it the honor is deserves. 200/10 MOC, imo.
It's incredible seeing you create these next level designs. Absolutely incredible! I'd be interested to see your take on Roodaka. For science, of course.
I was binge watching your stuff, feeling all nostalgic and stuff. I was not expecting you to be a Ludbud and crack that chest hole joke! Good stuff man!
Fair warning I think it streches out the mask a little over time... probably would have been better to just use newer versions of the joints instead of adding that stud...
Great, beautyfull build! It makes me think of Dr. Doom a little. With a silver Calix mask a color swap and some minor tweaks it would pretty much be it:)
you keep outdoing yourself with each MOC. this one may not be as complex as some of the other parts, and there are some obvious gaps here and there, but i think thats just fine. beauty in simplicity, if you can call this "simple" in any form. keep up the amazing work!
It really was such a cool experience to be a kid when Bionicles were starting to come out. Getting hyped for the games and movies and each new generation to build. I miss it.
Absolutely stunning build, the mask is just the topping! But I have to say, the feet are just to tiny, the should be a bit bigger to fit better with the rest of the armor. Just a thought😅
Me building Lego 'Hmmmm . . . should I put that there? Nope. That looks horrible.' Mitch 'Then imma put eighteen pieces that fit perfectly right here.'
I laugh every time you borrow a part from a mini figure! Loved the collab! Can’t wait for the next video. Always super cool seeing what you come up with!
Wonderful work as always :) Honestly im in awe, how you think of some of those building connections Looking forward to the next video, have a great day!
A pleasure working with you my dude! Thanks again for those crisp and beautiful photos of your mask :)
Any time!! Thanks for the background on the mask!

This looks a lot like how I'd imagine a G2 version of Brutaka would look like! Great job as always, love your work and keep it up!
The fact the package is so simple and easily resealable makes this so much more satisfying for collector purposes
Gali and Onua were the first and last Bionicle series I had.

I think it would be a very cool challenge if you made that big guy in the middle larger and bulkier
honestly this is the best lego moc i’ve ever seen
For those wondering, the mask sells for around 4000-4500$.
Dude, the way you use details to achieve the build you want is amazing. I want to learn how to do the same
I love how with these you can easily follow along if you so wish, a nice modern way to present a tutorial without being so direct
Love the shield/pin detail on the cape!
Waste not :)
You are an absolute master, I always skip the part when you show the finished model at the beginning to not spoil the final effect 😅
