    hi edward... you have been my "guru" for setting up and calibrating a 3d printer and i owe you a beer for that :-)
    can you please also put a video explaining auto bed leveling using the 6-36 volt proximity sensor? it will be very helpful.

      +Siddharth Shivalkar I will be recording a video in the next couple of days for a new sensor, which is the opposite type in our last message exchange. I've been upgrading some of the video environment for better lighting, audio and sound dampening. Two of those should be completed by tonight. I should be recording within the next couple of days.

    Hi Edward
    thank you for ur Explain , it was useful for me
    I have a ِAnet A8 printer when I try to move the Extruder stepper motor via control panel it does not work!!
    Do you think that one of the Firmware lines needs to be modified?
    thank you..

      @@EdwardBraiman Kindly , Can you Read my question..

    • @EdwardBraiman
      @EdwardBraiman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Marlin firmware defaults to a minimum temperature before the extruder will move. You can send a gcode to change minimum temperature to test, but leave filament out of extruder when doing this as it will not melt filament.

    I get about 100mm when I do this? Shal I put 500mm to extrude?

    • @EdwardBraiman
      @EdwardBraiman  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you get 100, then you perfect and don't need to change anything.

  • @amzombiellama490
    @amzombiellama490 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why did 510mm extrude when you put 100mm im confused?

    • @EdwardBraiman
      @EdwardBraiman  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's has to do with the actual length coming out, verses requested in Pronterface.

    My filament is extruding in the wrong direction. how do I reverse it in the marlin firmware?

    • @EdwardBraiman
      @EdwardBraiman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Search on invert in configuration.h.

    • @EdwardBraiman
      @EdwardBraiman  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What's error message are you seeing in Pronterface? Is the thermistor working or is the wire broken?

    • @mushfiqueazam3518
      @mushfiqueazam3518 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Error: Printer halted. kill() called" ....i was using ramp 1.4

    • @EdwardBraiman
      @EdwardBraiman  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check the thermistor for a broken wire using a multimeter.

      Edward Braiman // the extruder keep pushing the filament what if the hotend is not heated enough and the extruder keep pushing the filament thats wont break the nozzle and the hotend

    • @EdwardBraiman
      @EdwardBraiman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the example in the tutorial does not use the actual hotend.

    Why cutting the filament thats a waste of filament :'(

      Gives you the ability to make a more exact measurement.

      Well yes but how exact you have to be that will make a real impact to the step numbers?

    • @EdwardBraiman
      @EdwardBraiman  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      As close as possible. Just keep in mind it's up to the end user.

    • @V1N_574

      I was looking a technical answer, since the step size can only be set up as far as 2 decimal point so anything more specific than that will get loss. Also the stepper driver will limit how accurate you will get. The user can do what ever please him but the machine has limitations and those are the one I was looking for.
