@Kenzie Gegantoca both are well balanced speakers but onyx handles sound trough volumes a lot better, on onyx im not scared to turn up the volume, but sony gets little bit over its capabilities, feels like its overdriving itself. Sony is the speaker i would connect to my pc and use it mainly like that, because of the nice sound stage, stereo and lights.

Xb43 wins, because the sound is clear, not overwhelmed by bass. everything is quite balanced. and the LEDs are very beautiful, the price is cheaper .HK has deep bass, but encroaches on other sounds, long listening is quite difficult

Sony Xb43 the best in segment. Vs jbl charge 5 (similar price) or xtreme 3 vs HK onyx 5. HK has good Lows JBL has good highs but worst mids Sony good mids and lows but moderate highs. Pros of Sony is the lights, Decent quality and price. Best value for money. Equaliser through app and light settings is awesome. Review after 3 months of research.. 😘😘😊😊
I judge a bluetooth speaker by its ability to produce deep bass as its one of the hardest things to get right. No amount of equalization on a phone will get you that deep rich bass. The sony here has been equalized to death, the studio 5 isnt. With a few little tweaks in the mids and highs, the HK can sound as good as the sony or better, but the sony will never get bass like the HK. Yes its mono but stereo separation on tiny bluetooth speakers are basically non existant. Maybe a little more airy, but thats about it.
@@dikedaniel4201 Neither 6 hours.. The HK lasts about 1h/ 1:30h in max volume. In mid volumes you can get 4h of playtime. And about 20%~30% volume you can get 8 hours or more. It's a Bluetooth speaker made to use in home, basically. I had the Onyx Studio 5, two Onyx Studio 6 and two Onyx Studio 7.
The Sony xb43’s treble is amazing but it lacks the ability to hit the lows that the studio 5 can hit perfectly. I recently owned the xb43, the day before thanksgiving actually. I sent it back because the studio 6 was on sale for $149.95 which is superb compared to the original retail price of $479.95. I kind of miss my xb43’s treble but I’m a bass head and the studio 6 has what I’m looking for!
Studio 5 is only mono and it's always better to be at stereo.. You just can't hear clearly cause that enclosed tight room was filled of waves created deep impressive bass

That the good thing for harman kardon and JBL they preserve that distinctive sound.. I had tried an app on my onyx 5 the sound gets cleaner but it came thinner and cut the boom-deep bass.. Jbl loudspeakers are only capable of equalisers I think..

The Bass sounds stronger on the Onyx for certain, but listening to them I think I prefer the sound from the Sony's. The Bass is almost too much on the Onyx...sounds like it's drowning some of the other instruments and vocals out.

sony bx43 I have been doing sound adjustments with equalizer from sony music center app but onyx5 has no equalizer adjustments.
