    Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport for a second trip to Keeley’s Caverns. The Caverns V2 is a fully-equipped time and space travel device that gives you two full-featured pedals in one box with individual footswitching. Two separate pedals of four knobs and one toggle switch each give you everything you want out of a delay-reverb combo with no stone left unturned. The right side of the Caverns V2 is the Keeley Mag Echo, an expertly-voiced tape delay emulation machine that serves up 650 milliseconds of warm, vintage-soaked tones. The small toggle on the delay side introduces adjustable tape-like modulation, from a pristine, fresh-off-the-line unit all the way through a worn-down studio doorstop. The Reverb side of the Caverns V2 gives a fresh control set, featuring a Warmth knob that darkens up any digital brightness generated by the reverb algorithms. Three modes of Reverb come standard on the Caverns V2. For vintage tones, a drippy spring reverb, styled after classic Fender “blackface” verb sounds, is included with an integrated tremolo that you can adjust into the tails. A Modulated reverb mode gives you some subtle sway in the background to compliment your tone by way of a chorus on the wet signal, while the Shimmer mode smashes the reverb sound into particles which are shifted up an octave for an ethereal tone that will liven up any riff. An internal trails/true bypass switch gives you the option of letting the footswitch choke off the trailing signal or keep it going even after the unit is switched off. And just like all Keeley pedals, the Caverns V2 is hand-forged by folks right here in the USA.

      Some more love here for the 30ms. I'm not even an "effects" guy per se, pretty much stick to a bunch of OD's. But the 30ms is a secret weapon full of subtle double tones to make my sound punchier, some pseudo slapback in lieu of a delay pedal and I even use it for modulation ie near-flanger / leslie sounds.

    • @RobertKeeleyTV
      @RobertKeeleyTV 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jasper, that's gold man. I really appreciate it. Gonna run my 30ms this weekend too, 10-15ms or so for some flanging... NOICE!

    • @keithpennington6141
      @keithpennington6141 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same exact thought. Here’s what I think is the answer: the biggest gripe I’ve heard about the Atlantic comes from having no control over the tone of the actual delay and reverb, and that it is very bright. So my thought is, if the difference is $50, it might be worth it for the control of the warmth…

      That's an interesting question and the answer is really up to you, since a reverb or delay doesn't really have a preference on musical genres. In general, Blues reverb favors spring or studio plate. I'd dial in a shorter spring or modulated reverb and set delay to a slapback for blues applications...but there's really no rules. Thanks!

    Is this dood choosen to demo all the pedels,or does he have his own music without the coloring of effects,That make you sound as though you are really playing epic.A musician knows pedels can be fun sometimes to slightly add some effects when you need it , but nothing is better than the real deal, a tube amp being pushed and a musician that uses there ability .Pedels like compression yes for sure because that is just taking your amp and dialing in beauty.But to sit there and realie on sounds to play gets old to the ear.But to see someone smirk and amuse themselves by playing sounds and cover tunes,I don't know.You could not pay me enough.Triple his chin, tripple his head, tripple his cheese.All of a sudden as this dood is playing ,the pedels blow up in his face destroying his guitar and all his equipment.

      I had fun making the video and playing the song, I think I'm allowed to show it! Joseph, this is pedal demonstration which shows entire range of the pedal. Would I use it in a more subtle approach in my own music? Absolutely! It's up to me to show how to use the gear and what possible sounds it makes, it's up to you to determine how much/little of it to use in your music.

    • @brianrollins7275
      @brianrollins7275 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re exactly right. I bought this pedal a couple months ago and it is fantastic imo. If I want to go all crazy with it I can or if I want subtle I can have that as well. I had a Strymon Flint and thought it was just okay. Now I have this Keeley Caverns v2 and a JHS Tidewater Tremolo and I’m much happier than I was using the Flint. I use the spring on everything, the shimmer mostly clean and the modulated reverb is my go to with dirt. Then add the awesome tape delay on top and yup I’m in heaven. I’ve found you do need to take some time with the Caverns to find your sweet spots but it’s all there you just gotta tweak a little. No MIDI or presets are needed for me. Great pedal and a steal for $169 (which is what I paid for it on sale).
      Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.
      Take care ✌🏻
