I've played the original Caverns many times and love it to pieces. This sounds even more lushes and highly improved! Beautiful playing Brett, just absolutely flows like a river!
All your videos are fantastic. In fact, some of the pedals on my pedalboard are there because of you. You really focus on getting the best on the pedal, not as others that are there showing only skills. Thanks for a great review.
That shimmer is cool on the verb side. I wouldn’t normally use something like that upper octave modulation but after hearing this demo I was inspired. I have an hx stomp and this would be perfect to incorporate into the FX loop of the pedal so that I can use this instead of the delay/reverb on the unit (which is also good, this is just like a particularly favorite flavor of food lol)
Nice review! I’ve been on the fence between this Caverns and the EH Grand Canyon. Since I don’t foresee any need for the stereo and with the easier controls on the Cavern, I’m over the fence sitting. Thank you!
Is this what it sounded like inside the Cavern Club the Beatles used to play in. The ceiling sounds too low. A pedal that sounds like the Beatles Abbey Road studios is Keeley Abbey Chamber verb guitar pedal. You can hear a higher ceiling. Boss DD-500 effects pedal console mid-delay is really the sound of the Beatles Abbey Road. Remember studio 2 where the Beatles played you entered the control room. Then you went down the stairs to the actual studio 2 room. So it did have a high ceiling. Remember to bend the strings instead of just playing the notes straight to get a slight crying sounds. The Marshall EH-1 echohead delay pedal is another pedal I love.
Caverns is gorgeous. Too bad I recently got a really good deal on a Strymon Flint, so I'm reverb-rich right now. Just picked up a D&M Drive myself as well, it's KILLER.
What I miss in these delays pedals are TAP TEMPO. Almost all cheaper Mooer delay comes with tap tempo built in. And some of these expensive pedals don't...

Is it possible to turn rate of the trem effect on the spring reverb setting down so low that it's unnoticeable? I would like to be able to use the spring reverb without the tremolo. Is this possible?
Wouldn't that be "up" in the United States...? Isn't it a bit unfair that the globe has been standardized to always have the North Pole upwards when in reality... there is no up ? But I digress. Nice review as always. Good value in a pedal. 'Course I've got separate reverb & delay pedals... but this is compact, convenient and cool. I feel the G.A.S. coming on...
The only problem is these demo make the reverb sound so "over the top." Does the thing have just a nice wet basic reverb sound. I play acoustic and it's hard to get a gauge on the reverb.

If I got the Caverns and the D&M Drive, I wouldn't need any more pedals. That would defeat the purpose of pedals, which is to buy more pedals.

That's a great pedal, but what really caught my eye and my ear was that Carl Martin amp....looks and sounds like a real beauty.

Actually the shimmer mode is hall and the shimmer effect can be turned off with the rate knob and leaves you just hall. I believe.
I think I have to have this. I like it having 2 foot switch’s for reverb and delay.
Love the Dispatch Master but only one stomp switch
Have you tried it with an acoustic. I like how the shimmer can add almost a string like fill behind the chords.

Seems a lot like the new Wampler Ethereal pedal. Reverb and delay combined together. Both pedals sound good.
Except the first Delay Reverb Caverns came out over two years ago.

Yes it is. Just turn down that rate knob!
